30,000 tickets sold already for the wolves game
Pipey

Believable47 Unbelievable28

I hope that was true,But it isn't look at the stadium plan on the OS but lucky if there's 20,000 sold.Trevo

Agree0 Disagree0

That just shows you the belief in the squad, don't forget it's on sky sports aswell. So 30.000 was unheard of last year, when live on tele.
COME ON YOU WHITES!!
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Go on o/s you can clearly see there is no where near 30k sold yet

Agree0 Disagree0

Sister works there 21,750 at mo! Stop posting crap!! Unless your guna buy 8,250 today.......

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks to be around 19,000 tickets sold so far. Wish the away fans were back in the wedge, better atmosphere when there is a couple of thousand away fans to have banter with. My guess for Wolves game attendance, with current squad, 23,500. Poor i know but at £30+ a ticket and it on sky, what do we expect. Live games should have a maximum ticket price of £24 for adults. Elland road would then easily have 28,000+!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think so m8.. look on leeds web site click tickets then buy now and look at seating plan .. at a guess 22000 sold so far.people need at stop posting rubbish

Heard from sources close to people at posh ( peterborough ) that we are in for Taylor already had a bid turned down apparently ! Just what I heard guys MOT

Believable5 Unbelievable22

Not the calibre of player I was looking for but hey I'm not being paid to make decisions. I'll trust Warnock if this proves true.

Why abbreviate a word just to put the full word right beside it in brackets?

StevenLufc

Agree0 Disagree0

To help you Steven

Agree0 Disagree0

By abbreviating a word then spelling the full word right after it defeats the purpose of the abbreviation. If you want help me or anyone else why not just put the full name down without any needless abbreviation.

StevenLufc (Leeds United Football Club)

Agree0 Disagree0

Taylor was one for the best player in the the Championship last season, If we had to choose between him of Boyd I'd go with him, there is the worry he's a one season wonder, He reminds me alot of Bellamy in his prime, the way he plays

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent -this lad is a really good prospect, had a very impressive season last time round. Good to hear we are looking at upcoming talent as well as seasoned pros. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here Steven for your info (information) P/Boro is the abbreviation for Peterborough. Posh is the teams nic name.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whoever original poster is, your a legend

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone in the championship had a bid turned down derby fans think it was from them

beckford signs 2 year deal next week worth 15k a week

Believable18 Unbelievable22

Why would he drop from 40,000 a week to 15,000 wish it was true but cant see it

Agree3 Disagree2

Wishful Thinking Mate, However we can dream, Nite Nite ZZZZZZZZZZZ

MOT - Mickey

Agree0 Disagree1

Obviously not true seen as he left cause we couldnt pay him enough (so he is money orientated) but now suddenly he will take a 25k pay cut to play for us?

Agree1 Disagree1

Not a chance....The greedy always follow the cash.

Agree0 Disagree1

Dont want him anyhow he's not championship material end of !
He rubbished us last time around we need players that want to improve themself for their country not tight fisted c***s like JB

Agree1 Disagree1

Dont know ifits true but Leicester fans reckon he's on 20k per week & other amount made up of bonuses so maybe its not out of our reach?

Agree0 Disagree0

Id never take him back judas!
let leicester keep him and get someone else committed to LEEDS!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought he said he would take a pay cut...a month ago

leetattmot

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't on 40 k a week. Don't think we will get him unless new buyer spend big to bring him back. If they do spend big sure there's better out there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford would cost too much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont usually post but i know for a fact that jermaine is speaking to leeds, not saying they have agreed anything but they are trying, my source is my brother MOT

Jparker

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure where you herd it but I could see it happening. Becks has earned his money now. We couldn't stop him before but now he wants to come back and help us again. Come home son!

Agree0 Disagree0

He really on 40k a week? Wow ha I hope we get cms

Agree0 Disagree0

Dismissed any news of talks we do need the power upfront though and tbh the defending still isnt what it needs to be lots of work to be done surprised we got away with a win at preston

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford was on £20k a wk at everton. Leicester would not double + his wages. I reckon he on £25k per wk. even in the prem the average wage is £10k wk so £40k u realistic. Don't believe all you read In the press I know a very successful agent from 70's
Whiteteeth {Ed003's Note - I think the 25k figure is not far off}

Agree1 Disagree0

Suffering from depression and only feels happy at leeds having spent mostsccesful spell of career so far at lufc

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't leave us purely for money - he had the opportunity of Premier League football. Although I believe if he had the opportunity to rejoin us he'd be back in a heartbeat, I think we'd be asking him to take a too big of a drop in wages. Having said that, he'd have to take a massive drop in wages where ever he goes (unless he makes a return to the Prem). I think he will leave Leicester - they'll be looking to cut the wage bill & there seems to be friction between him & Pearson. But I think he'll leave on deadline day. Leicester will want to hold out & see who comes in with the best offer & as will his agent. IF Warnock has the budget to afford him and IF he's his number one target, I reckon we'll have to wait until deadline day. So if it's gonna happen - we'll have to be patient a little longer.

Agree1 Disagree0

How can you say hes rubbish? hes proven himself in PL so obviously your blind mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. i have an insider at ER who is close pals with lorimer. gets plenty of info. including this post

Agree0 Disagree0

I seriously think the ones that are calling becks judas and money grabber need to give there head a shake it's called ambition! If u don't rate him fine that's everyone's opinion but the guy earned his place in our history by doing what he did and it's not like he went to some cores club scrapping for there lives, he joined everton a club that regularly finishes in the top ten! I really don't understand some fans and I would bet my last fiver the same people that call him a money grabber would quit there job tomorrow if someone came along and offered them double your money. Plus he has always had us at heart long after he left how many players are like that nowadays

Agree0 Disagree0

He is rubbish and can only score goals in league 1. His strike rate in the championship is 1 goal ever 4.3 games on top of that he is lazy

Agree0 Disagree0

Why all the slating from a few. Look at the goals/appearances. Without his goals we would not have made the championship. Great player, hope it's true.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Proven himself in the Premier League". Yeah, he's done that so convincingly he was sold to the Championship after one season.

Get real. He's never done it above League 1, and unless he is a guaranteed 25+ goals a season, he is a waste of a space in the team as he contributes nothing else. Remember this is a guy who was dropped from our League 1 team for a spell. We can do a lot lot better for the money Leicester would want in transfer fee or he would want in wages. Maynard for example....same sort of player, but quicker, younger, proven in the Championship and probably cheaper.

Our fans need to let by bygones be bygones. We can do better than Beckford.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love beckford back but he handed in a transfer request he didnt want to play for us

Agree0 Disagree0

You are all saying he's no good and a money grabber and don't want him back at Leeds. That must be why the whole stadium was singing his name on the last game of last season, so either you are all hypocrits or you weren't there!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people are just blind to the ways of life...JUDAS? I mean really come on, he went to Everton, in the PREMIER LEAGUE. Since when did we despise Everton??
He stayed and gave his all to help us get promoted and scored the goal for one of our greatest moments in our relatively dark recent history at Old Trafford, let alone the promotion winning on the last day.
Judas? Really? Give me a break

Agree0 Disagree0

Your missing the point mate , he only had 4 months on his contract left when he asked for a transfer . he could have thought that he could stay get the team that gave him his chance in life promoted and then get his move to the prem and big wages . he asked to leave at the time he knew we needed him most . why cant his "fans" see that . he couldnt have realy cared about us gettig promoted or he wouldnt have asked to leave . he scored 20 before his request and 6 after it and got dropped by grayson . moyes didnt buy him for what he was but what he beleived he could make him into , when he saw he couldnt do it he let him go . if leicester are going to let him go why isnt there a load of clubs fighting for his signature ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anything in this ed? {Ed013's Note - Just rumour at the minute}

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a massive difference between being a star of the past, and a potentially good signing.

- FACT - Beckford tried to leave Leeds in January 2010, when we needed him most. He didn't care about our promotion then.

- FACT - he didn't cut the mustard in the Premiership and hasn't done in the Championship with Leicester.

- FACT - he would cost top dollar in wages and transfer fee. We can do better for the money, I can assure you all.

- FACT - he relies ENTIRELY on pace, and he is now losing it due to age

- FACT - he doesn't contribute anything other than goals to a team - point being that as his goal yield is drastically falling, why would he be a sensible option? When was the last time you thought to yourself "great bit of ink up play/great cross/great tackle/great pass/great through ball from Beckford?

Bottom line - we'd have to play a lot of money to a a player who is mediocre at this level and would be a total gamble. Yes, he was amazing in the past for us, yes, I've got a shirt with his name on it, but do I want him back? NO - because there are other players out there who, for the money, would be a far better bet than Beckford.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hmmm 11 goals in his 1st season in the prem, coming off the bench. FACT

Having excellent finishing skills with both feet! FACT

Having a love 4 our club FACT

At 29 his pace is still as good as the fastest fullbacks in the league (check pre season sprint times 4 the last 2 years!)
FACT

Top player, stop grinding you personal axe and find another way to vent.

Hear from a mate with close links to the club that the big issue with the ongoing takeover is a personal tax liability of Ken's. He is looking to avoid a £2m tax bill which he can get out of if he remains at the club for two further years! So he's asking the new owners to pay it for him.

Believable14 Unbelievable57

Another Bates hater talking rubbish, you do not have a clue what is happening with the takeover.

Agree3 Disagree0

Bates would have already known this if it was the case before selling o would have been agreed before dd.

I can't wait to see they back of bates he as made enough from us but creditbo him he I'd help salvage us when he bought us but I think with all his shady off shore account and fiddles Leeds were in a mess again that's why dd taking so long .

Agree0 Disagree0

Crap he is already a tax exile

Agree1 Disagree0

Third poster hit the nail on the head, the delay is due to all the offshore accounts and tax fiddles Bates has already used so new buyer is having to double check everything to make sure they aren't paying too much or there is more debt than has been reported. Doubt the delay is anything to do with a tax payoff, even Bates wouldn't quibble over two million when he'll be getting a lot more than that.

Beckford to be our New! number 9.Big signing from the new owners next week to get fans onside,MOT.

Rumour Ive heard is that Beckford has met Harvey and agreed to sign -choosing us over saints - but to save on wages we are waiting to announce deal and sign him up on contract until very start of season and takeover - to save thousands on several weeks wages - makes sense - same with Diouf too

Believable34 Unbelievable20

Just posted about beckford being released on a free by leciester -according to former player john mclelland maybe he knows something we dont. lets hope the takeover is not waiting for ramadan to finish or its another 3 weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, hopefully be all in place for the seasons opener - lets look forward to it - Neils doing a grand job - just need a few more faces up front and on the right flank now and we can mount a serious challenge

Agree0 Disagree0

Ramadan is due to end on the 19th or 20th depending on the sighting of the moon - I can't wait, the pubs are open all day again!

KTJ - Abu Dhabi

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, I will not be getting carried away if Becford signs. He amassed 9 goals in the 49 games he played in the Championship. So to fly in the face of opinion, for me not proven at that level, regardless of how many he scored at Everton, where he had better players around him.

Agree1 Disagree0

Thought becks scored 15 goals last season for leicster i might be wrong anybody know if he did

Agree0 Disagree0

The clues are there if you read them. It said in The Championship

Agree0 Disagree0

To clarify- 45 appearances 15 goals of which 6 were in 5 fa cup games

Whiteteeth

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on doubters, he'll love being back here, and won't want to disappoint. I would be very surprised if Beckford were not a big success if he returns. Chapel A

Leeds to sign 3 more players before wolves.
Cranie and Lawrence on a free.
And David Templeton for 750,000

Unless investment is completed

Believable27 Unbelievable42

Why would we want 2 wingers ? When warnock says he wants a striker and winger ?

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a striker

Cranie signing for Crystal Palace, Leeds to sign Diouf on Tuesday - source is very reliable.

Believable14 Unbelievable49

Ain't diouf already signed for someone

Agree0 Disagree1

If he has signed for someone else, it should read "not a very reliable source".
JB

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf is signing for us, always has been but been kept under wraps due to his reputation

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf has signed for a team in the middle east nearly two months ago now. So unless he is very unhappy at his very high wages and fancies cutting them by £40,000 per week to move back to our wonderful climate, then I'm afraid your bottle of sauce is not pouring very well at all or you are just making it up because you are bored and have nothing factual to say....!!

Leigh

Agree0 Disagree1

Think he is still a free agent

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe its all a trick and were actually signing the other 23 year old el Hadji diouf who is a midfielder and free agent

Leeds are to do a deal with deal with derby county , charlie taylor and £300k for nathan tyson. Also strongly linked with jay demerit. The rumours in the usa say this will happen within a week!

Believable6 Unbelievable32

We should not be letting the young players go imo taylor cab learn loads from the like of drury as i believe lb is his favoured postion.sharky lufc

Was at the ado v Newcastle game yesterday - I live and work in the Hague so off my back for watching the Geordies :)

Anyway, to my point. Right winger that came on for ado was awesome. Fast, skilful and a great cross on him. Worked his ass off defensively as well. Anyone in the know at ER tell them to sign this boy. Stanley elbers, twenty year old and we'd get him for 100k.

Very good player.

Believable23 Unbelievable23

Do you no his name

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, I think the use of the words "Stanley Elbers" gave his name away.
Do try to read posts properly.

Stanley Elbers as it says in the original post...

Stanley Elbers is a striker but not a bad one

at 1 ... Presumably you didn't read this post as he's already given you his name ... STANLEY ELBERS.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Aug 2012 17:08:25
He's a local Hague lad that's breaking into the first team this season. ADO (den Haag) are skint and even more so after one of their players they thought they'd sold to Forrest returned back to them after three days. Seriously, if anyone in the know with Leeds scouts, get them over here. Happy to sort out accommodation for them whilst they watch him. He is seriously a quality player.

Agree0 Disagree0

NW here bates will only let me spend a small amount of money from the snodgrass sale ! so unless he is free and wants no wages i wont be signing him . but thanks for your crap pointless info

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly a LUST person with the last post. Elbers is basically an outside right or what we'd class as a winger. Most Dutch clubs play 4-3-3 and class the front three as strikers. Robben would be classed as a striker in that system but clearly a winger.

I coach here in the Netherlands in the knvb standard class which is semi pro so I'm sorry for mentioning a quality player at a decent price to the person that posted it was pointless.

You should cheer up a little and stop hating bates and the club!

Agree0 Disagree0

Which bit of the post was crap and pointless, other than your response?

At the op, you should track down your closest supporters club, I'm pretty sure Leeds have signed players in the past off the back of supporters club recommendations, could be wrong but wasn't Bakke picked up this way?

Macca72

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish we would sign exciting young players, but unless they are free and former Portsmouth players Bates is not interested

is anyone still amazed how we have made 11 signings in a time of takeover?

Believable44 Unbelievable9

11 ? Where'd the 11th come from ? Who is it ? Crainie ?
If warnocks owt t go by he ant finished yet

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw elsewhere that the takeover had fallen through and that somebody else had stepped in headed by Jack Warner. I really hope it is not true

Agree0 Disagree1

That's because there's no takeover! When will people drop this? There is, nor was there ever, any takeover! It is purely an investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

What takeover ?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds to sign owen free transfer by tuesday

Agree0 Disagree0

That's because there's no investment! When will people drop this? There is, nor was there ever, any investment! It is purely a takeover!.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the ignorant person that seems there is nor was there ever a takeover? How come NW said that the 'NEW GUYS' wouldnt just throw 10s of millions at us in an interview and they would also 'run a tight ship' if there is no takeover and it is just investment they wouldnt be running any ship!

Agree1 Disagree0

There is a takeover. Just relax and be patient. It's on its way.

Colins interview after the Preston game was quite refreshing got to love his honesty.. Thought he chose his words well when asked about more transfers.. Didn't reveal anything about takeover or new signings.. I think that 2-3 players are still yet to come.. Mirror linking us with Leroy Lita would be good player at this level IMO and I think Craine gonna sign up ... MOT

Believable32 Unbelievable11

I think your right about warnock but not so sure on lita. I think his best days are behind him now. We need a really good pacy striker like Maynard or beckford. we already haver the other type of strikers and i hope there is a bid for Boyd.
mot4life

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed; Can we Edit the word "colin" Plz, I think it's disrespectful.
His name is Neil, and he is our best chance of promotion.
So come on Neil get us in the Premiership where we belong Gj {Ed013's Note - I understand where you are coming from and I do delete it when it has harmfull intentions. Some is purely banter though and harmless. I will brief the other eds}

does anyone know why cranie wasn't playing today has he been released?

Believable17 Unbelievable9

As he was uncertain of his future at Leeds he didn't want to risk injury, therefore didn't play

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe he was at Thorpe arch negotiating a contract?

Agree0 Disagree0

Or Warnock offered him Min wage and said until billy clears off i cant pay u , as we have the tightest owner possibly on the planet

He's pursuing other options, after Neil made it clear he would be a "squad player" here. At this stage of his career, looking to be a regular starter. Chapel A
