Billy sharp going to reading, missed out again to one of our rivals, McDermott surely you don't think these strikers will do anything but get you relegated, apart from McCormack.

Believable12 Unbelievable51

Mindless, I think Bmac knows what he is doing, big deal he is one player.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why all the talk about bull. We lost 1 game and your at the squad already, football is a team game and effort, it not a one man show Ross is gud but the overall effort of the team wins us games.

Agree1 Disagree1

People act like we never lost a game when we had snodgrass and gradel which we did plenty of times. Sometimes attacking flair can sacrifice how solid a team can be and win those tough games. This Leeds team aren't the most technically gifted but they give 100% and Brian demands it. So stop moaning and trying to be a football manager and get down to Elland road because we need everybody pulling together 23k was pathetic.

Agree4 Disagree1

Let them gel. get used to playing football. new work ethic at the club. You can't fail to notice how much fitter the squad is and that they're being asked to be more expressive on the pitch. Doubt this squad will get us promotion (defeated in playoffs this season, second and automatic, next). They certainly won't get us relegated. Second half of the season will be much more important to where we finish. We do what we've done for a decade. We wait a bit longer. good times coming, just not this season. Don't get so easily frustrated.

Agree a little bit.yes we have a very hard working team but you do have to score to win a game don't you?
hunt and varney too wide to score.ross will be from 15 yrds plus.sharp would have been good but there are others about surely, dare I say becchio. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news, don't want Burke or Sharp.

Agree1 Disagree1

I totally agree, I have been watching football all my life and I really feel the strikers we have are not good enough for the job apart from mc cormack, and why oh why is the best finisher we have out on the wing?! with the other strikers we have they will be lucky to notch 10 goals between them in the league all season in my opinion, Smith is too slow and only a threat in the air, poleon runs about like an headless chicken and hunt looks out of the circle and struggling to gel at all, varney however looks to imrpoved and lost a pound or two, but his return isn't that impressive, however on a brighter note the defence have started well and I would only suggest pearce could do with replacing and used as a back up centre back, warnock has been awesome for me and with ross the best player so far this season, the midfield needs two new players, a ball playing centre mid and an attacking mid, only my humble opinion, thanks markymafia

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't even think McCormack is good enough myself, never rated him, scored a couple at the start of this season, big deal. 20 goals a year, year in year out then he's good enough, not done that in his career, won't do it, can't do it, not good enough. We've had our chances last few years to get the strikers we need, Puncheon, Austin, Hooper, Le Fondre, Lambert all were playing lower league stuff a few years back and banging them in, but we dillied and dallied as usual and now look at them all. Obviously not BMc's fault but McCormack is not our answer. We should have sold him to Boro and asked for cash plus their young guy Curtis Main who is class but has now gone somewhere else.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sharpy not that good even Forest don't want him back

Agree0 Disagree0

Sharp isn't all that, 2 spells with the blunts confirmed that, only club where he did ok were donny.

Believable20 Unbelievable21

He chose them over us

Agree0 Disagree0

Ex Dundee United, but surely we are going to have MacKay Steven in the Leeds team, I mean some on this forum said he had already signed or was definitely coming. Anyone seen him lately?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearing a lot of noise about Marc Albrighton from Villa coming in on loan until January. Has anyone else heard this? Personally I think he would be a great addition. I remember him doing some damage in the PL a couple of seasons ago when fit.

Can I just clear something up for fellow Leeds fans that think we are getting Burke on loan. If Birmingham was not willing to sell him get a fee and get him off the wage bill. For 300k which we offered they wanted 600k. They will not let him go out on loan for the last 8 month of his contact. Use your head lads. But I do think we will bring in at least 1 winger in the loan market . Thanks and good nite. Mazza Mellon head

Believable29 Unbelievable16

So if we offer to pay his wages with a view to buy for £300k in January, Leeds get the deal they wanted, Birmingham get him off the wage bill with promised income (less than the £600K they wanted). Or Birmingham hold on to a player that they do not want for a season and let him go for nothing? Do you think that there might be room for maneuver after all?

Agree0 Disagree1

Birmingham want him

Agree1 Disagree1

They might loan for a 300k fee. can then sign on perm for free

Agree0 Disagree3

Hopefully now we, l forget burke and move on with a younger target/winger which more than likely will happen next summer.

Agree0 Disagree1

This Burke situation is very annoying. Warnock bid for him in Jan but they wanted more money than we were willing to pay for a winger out of contract in summer. McD couldve offered a contract before start of summer to get him in before Birmingham renewed it and now we try to buy him again on deadline day. Total farce

Agree1 Disagree0

Use your head. chris burke will be our player watch and see

They obviously don't want to let the player go So why the hell will they let him go on loan come on guys it's not hard. We will not get Burke

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Jordan Ibe? needs games and very skillfull and quick.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are spot on

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris burke will be a leeds player that's 4 sure

We went in for a winger on deadline day but the £600,000 asking price put us off.

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Gary Mackay-Steven

Agree0 Disagree0

'twas Chis Burke
B McD said so himself and the 600 k fee put us off because he is 29 and with only 6 months or so left on his contract, no other reason

McDermott to go after burke and sharp in the loan window with views to making both deals permanent or longer term loans in january

Local rags claiming leeds will go after chris Burke on Sunday when emergency loan window opens. Also Southampton willing to let billy sharp go out on loan if all wages are paid by club

Believable8 Unbelievable26

Exactly what is ''all wages'' though

Agree1 Disagree0

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is ready to make a move for Birmingham winger Chris Burke, 29, when the loan window opens on Sunday.

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is ready to make a move for Birmingham winger Chris Burke, 29, when the loan window opens on Sunday.

Believable24 Unbelievable22

I cannot see Birmingham letting him go, he is a key player. It makes more sense that we would loan from premier teams with large squads, who have good quality players who will not get games or squad numbers. There are plenty to choose from

Agree1 Disagree0

This is rubbish.
Max of 93 days loan so he would miss vital Christmas games then we could re loan him in January.

1 October if it happens

Agree0 Disagree0

Should have got him 4 seasons ago, like most of our signings really. Need better than him now

Agree0 Disagree1

Everyone knows we are desperate for a winger and we have waited all summer but still no winger. why wait all this time? burke would be good but why wait so long

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes no sense . They wanted 600k plus out of contract next summer . Then Leeds come back an get for free on loan an he is still out of contract with no money exchanged . This is effectively a loss for Birmingham . won't happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds will have to pay a fee for the loan for Burke

Have heard Leeds are going to invite The Ex Motherwel Right Back Tom Hately down for a weeks trial he is a free agent after leaving motherwell in the summer

Believable4 Unbelievable29

HE was always class on FM12 h

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes quality on Champ manager but not good enough for Motherwell in real life so surely not good enough for us

Agree2 Disagree0

Very good RB I hope this is true as I feel Peltier isn't a RB despite his good start to the season. there is rarely a end product with Peltier i.e crosses!

Agree0 Disagree0

The way Leeds are spending are you sure you don't mean Mark Hately?

Agree0 Disagree0

The lad named in opening post is mark hately, s son.
