Reported that Neil Redfern is going to get a run as Manager. All those surprised, please stand up. Silence.

Seems like a lot of people linked are distancing themselves from the job, I wonder if Cellino's reputation is coming bk to bite him on the bum. I hope if it does go wrong for Redders that they allow him to return to his original post. Not that I want it to go wrong obviously it'd be great if he gets us playing attractive football and bringing through the youth as well I just don't think Cellino will be patient enough.

nice but again mc saving money

Agree0 Disagree0

If its true it's bad news and will end in tears - and not too long to wait either. I also don't think Redfearn has it in him to deliver. Fine with kids but not the seniors. Bad all round. Who is next for the academy?

Agree1 Disagree0

If so then MC not really learning from past mistakes, NR will be better than hock for sure but not what the club need right now i.e. a strong coach/manager who knows how to handle multi-national squads and has a track record in this league.

NR ok for short-term but not for moving us on longer term, seems no long term plan by doing this but then again MC may change his mind in a couple of days.

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm with you Johno. If he does get a run, here's to it being successful, but if not let him go back to his original job where he has been doing so well.

Agree1 Disagree0

MC is in the States atm, and I'd be amazed if he appointed a new coach without meeting them at length. This maybe just his way of saying Redders will stay at the helm until he makes his choice - maybe a few weeks or so.
Personally don't have a problem with that, think we are in pretty safe hands - and if a few weeks deliberation leads to a better choice than one made too hastily, so much the better imo

We do not know what is going on in the background. I would rather have NR give it a go until the right person can 'man up' and take on the role rather than knee jerk and employ any muppet! If it al becomes too much then as most people have implied - he steps back into his previous role. It makes financial sense if he is happy to give it a go. I don't think the players or the club has anything to lose - Leeds will need more staff though, we cannot afford to neglect the reserves or the youth teams. A top name who has a good pedigree would be fantastic but they are not exactly queuing up outside ER are they!

Agree0 Disagree0

Redders as manager eh!
Seeing MC has been looking for a COACH maybe that's why it's taking so long ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a good idea for MC to take a few weeks to look for the right coach, in the interim take a look at NR to see if he turns the team around.

At Bolton at least he picked a better formation, included a mix of the new players and the kids. Didn't keep picking Austin, Tongue, and the other tried and failed players that NW, BM, and DH kept selecting.

DH kept picking the BM failures even when MC had bought a dozen new players - dumb! no wonder MC sacked him.

Agree0 Disagree0

To me, the biggest worry about this is that once he is the manager, there is no going back.

He's working wonders with the reserves and academy, do we really want to lose such an asset to the club by giving him the managerial position on a whim?

Complete Hunt going to the Blades next week.

Believable46 Unbelievable9

Please please please, worst player ever to play for Leeds, I don't care what people say that he try's hard he gives 100%. So what I can run about and give 100% and still of come closer to scoring than that fool! good riddance. MOT

Agree3 Disagree1

I bet we will have to stump up a significant % age of his wages though, how long is his contract for?

Agree0 Disagree0

He signed a two-year deal last year, so he's out of contract next summer. The rumor to Sheffield United is an emergency loan, so we'd still be on the hook in the new year for 6 more months.

Agree0 Disagree0

Car and Drive comes to mind, have to agree along with kebe one of the worst players to put on a leeds united shirt. Hail the new bread Adryan, Cook, Sharp et al MOT

Hearing that Steve Clarke is now the Favouite for the head coach job.

Anyone heard any more rumours or had any sightings?

Believable24 Unbelievable28

Not sure if he will take it or whether he will be offered the job, think wages and I believe he will want more control than M C is prepared to give .
Ex Watford boss is my thought .

Agree1 Disagree0

Sannino favourite atm. Clarke drifting slightly in betting

Agree2 Disagree0

Cellino has told adam pope he is sticking with redfern, at least for the time being as he's confused. He's confused!

Agree1 Disagree0

It's Redders!

Agree1 Disagree1

Dogwise
You want the ex Watford coach who allegedly LOST respect in the dressing room!

Be very surprised if Clarke or redfearn would take it, MC has to much control over everything, we've not had a manager/coach for a week but still sold 2 and signed 3, what does that tell you. MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

Allegedly andy! They didn't look divided when they took us appart.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe my post says "ex Watford boss is my thought"
Meaning who will get the job, I would love Steve Clarke but I can not see it happening .
Thought we were debating who was favourite hence reply to the original post

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point Martyn 4 -1 wasn't it lucky he had lost the dressing room!
Lets face it anyone should be better, may be a coach who can speak Italian would be an advantage .

Agree0 Disagree0

If he had allegedly lost the dressing room, he certainly had Watford playing well with 4 win from 5 games. Maybe allegedly losing the dressing room is a good quality in a coach.
