Would love Leeds to sign Rodriguez from Burnley, really impressed me the last few tmes i've seen him play

Believable34 Unbelievable9

His contract has expired there so we could get him on a free. Although he is on the radar of Newcastle United (or so I've heard)
But i guess we shall see... {Ed003's Note - He's got 12 months remaining on his contract but will be sold}

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw somewhere a burnley wanted 5mil, which is an absolutey daft price to be honest

Agree0 Disagree0

Premiership class -No chance of him staying in the Championship

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite a few premiership clubs buzzing around after him i've heard....unlikely but worth a cheeky bid u never know ur luck

Leeds should attempt to sign Sean Murray he plays for Watford my local team. He is a quality midfielder alls likes to be on the ball and has a great shot. He is about 18 would a bit but worth it in the long run.

I post the pearce signing about 4 weeks ago and said it would be before the 7th may, same contact as told me today that there is a possibility that we will be swapping Clayton and 500k for Beckford and Mills not sure if it will happen but will try and find out more. He also says that Diouf as signed already but as to wait until a certain date to be revealed!! lets see

Believable29 Unbelievable6

Mills is worth at least 4 mil amd beckfords at least 2 mil? Thats means claytons worth six mil + 500k on top Doubt tht one tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds a tad unrealistic but it certainly does seem like a relatively good offer.
Ed, what do you think of this? {Ed020's Note - if its true, i'd snap there hands off at that deal!!! good business all round!! 2 players we would definitely take advantage of, both very good at what they do. both not happy with where they are(to a certain degree for beckford)}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a leeds fan living nr leicester strong rumours round here about mills coming to leeds. Regarding Beckford ive heard nothing regarding a move bk to leeds just leicester fans moaning about his antics on the field against leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mills and pearce what a partnership that would be

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeeeeez! if we could do that id be the happiest leeds fan alive. clyton in my opinion has been weak for a while. mills and beckford are masters of there trade 90% of the time. id take this deal any day!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think NW wants Clayton to go reading what he put and is hoping that nobody will match our value of him or offer him the wages he wants so that he stays and signs his contract. It is all about his agents opening wages. He is a good player and id have made him one of the main players but if he goes and Leicester want him then if Snoddy is worth £3m then so is Clayton so could see Clayton plus £1m for both players?

Agree0 Disagree0

First part as come true, Pearce as signed now on official site! it is a very good contact i have. mills is only valued at 1 million now and Beckford at between 1.5/2.0m. so it leaves clayton at 2 million which if Pearson as fell out with both of them and he rates clayton as good business all round. He still thinks it will happen as long as it below £1m. Another one he as told me of might be White to Newcastle but we will get 500k plus one of there forwards not sure who but will keep you posted

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as i'd love to believe this post mate, it's not going to happen. Though we could swap the costs upfront for the players by selling Clayton, you're forgetting both Mills and especially Beckford will both currently be on far higher wages. Bates wont have the wage bill for Beckford, which is why he's already turned him down, twice.

If it wasnt a problem though, id be up for Beckford and Mills coming to ER.

ed i think beckfords wages would be to high for us if we believe what we hear ? mot {Ed020's Note - your right, if he comes, he'll have a high wage price, and thats just not something we can adhere too, he'd get 17,500 max at a push with us. i would love him to be back, but realistically, its probably not going to happen}

Believable6 Unbelievable7

Beckford was only on £20k per week at Everton in the Premier League so in the Championship I reckon he would setle for around £15k per week, as is being offered to Snodgrass. He should jump at the chance to play for Leeds again as Leicester obviously isn't the place for him {Ed020's Note - he's on £25k at leicester so i've heard, its not impossible that he'd take the cut, but i don't think the powers at be would wanna make him one of/the highest roller at leeds}

Agree0 Disagree0

Snap him up on a 2 year deal. 10k this season rising to 25k if we get promoted. dangle the carrot to the boys in white ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Always a tricky one going back as doesnt always work out. Cant see him being on more money at Leicester than he was at Everton. I may be nieve but surely with him being a striker you give him a good goal bonus ie money for creating and for scoring plus a big chunk for 20+ goals. That way if he is successful so are we and will be where we want to be which would mean big crowds and money into the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

He loves leeds i was at the end of season and becchio and beckford was together all the time saying fingers crossed and all that if he wants to come to leeds i rekopn he will take a wage cut

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Beckford will take a wage cut as he has often declared his love for the club and city. He clearly sin't happy at Leicester and he might want to be at a club where the fans love him...

Agree0 Disagree0

Richie Wellens 500k
Jermaine Beckford 2 million.
Just my prediction of what they're worth, should definitely look into these.

Don't think Bates will allow Warnock to buy Beckford. Shame though, no matter what you think of them a front line choice of Beckford, Becchio, Diouff, McCormack & Somma would be as good if not better than any team in the League.
With a front line like that other players would jump at the chance of playing for us without the high wage demands and the fans excitement would be massive.

Believable15 Unbelievable7

Agree completely but a great forward line will count for nothing unless we get a solid back 4 and a class no.4.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the defence we can attack fine its the defece that lets us down

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted this and i agree about the defence totally. In fact our defence is much weaker than our attack but we have a much better chance of getting decent defenders to sign if they think they are joining a team worthy of fighting for promotion and that front line would show our intent and entice good players to the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surly signing beckford wud be bad buissness (i do love beckford tho) but let him go 4 free then buy him back for millions a few seasons later? doesnt sound like uncle kens kind of work

Leeds are interested in MK Don's captain Dean Lewington.
Rated as one of the best Left Backs in League 1, he is the preferred target should White leave. He was the player scouted by Jones at the MK Dons v Blades game on April 21.
He is available on a free in the summer but he is very loyal and would probably stay with the Dons if they gain promotion.
The chances of signing him depend on whether White goes and whether or not the Dons go up.

Believable18 Unbelievable6

White wont leave he will simply play left mid he isnt a left back and then this guy who jones scouted playing left back

leeds r going up next season cant wait

Beckford listed by Leicester today
Come on ken and Colin bring him back to lead us to the Premiership. He might miss a few but hel'll score more than 20 and the fans want him

Believable23 Unbelievable7

Hi, I retread old ground, 'score more than 20', he had 39 opportunities to score 20 for Leicester, and managed....9, and they finished ahead of us in the league.
I have a telephone number for anyone needing reality pills.

Agree0 Disagree0

He scored 10 goals in Premiership , mostly from the bench.
Get off his back

Agree0 Disagree0

I just think beckford has been mistreated at Leicester and as lost his confidence . give him a new club and he will shine again ,i hope we do re-sign him hes something different which warnock was saying we have nothing different well there he is a pacey striker with lots of goals in him

Agree0 Disagree0

If we do get him back, he will give 200% every game- we are the team that gave him his break so he will try his best to get us where we deserve.

If there ever was a time for bates to invest, it's now! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys, let's get real, I would love to see him back myself but Leicester paid £4.000.000 for him & they will want a good return on that, not to mention what wages he's on now, If we went in for Beckford that would probably take nearly all of Warnock's budget & Beckford alone will not bring us promotion....

Agree0 Disagree0

The amount of goals a striker scores is not entirely based on ability. The type of game being played affects it too, for example, Becchio hasnt got a great deal of pace, so trying to play through balls for him is never going to work, as he just won't get there. Whereas pumping crosses in onto his head will get loads of goals (like last season). Perhaps Beckford has just been playing in a team with the wrong tactics?

PEARCE CONFIRMED ON SKY SPORTS NEWS AS FIRST SIGNING. FOR AROUND 500K.

Believable28 Unbelievable5

Nothing has been confirmed just rumoured and there is no mention of any fee at all. Please learn to read before posting.

Agree3 Disagree3

Nope not confirmed yet!!

they think its Pearce

Agree0 Disagree0

This has NOT appeared on Sky Sports News or any other sports news media, it's in someone's head.

Agree0 Disagree0

It hasnt been confirmed yet. NW says he hopes to confirm his first signing by friday.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find there is! I never posted it however on SSN is says "pearce poised to sign for leeds for sum of around 500k"

Good news - Not confirmed yet officially though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original poster here. The female presenter actually reported that the deal was completed along with a small clip of Warnock commenting on Diouf but they have now backtracked to saying the deal is 'poised' to happen. Also if you'd like to do a spot of learning yourself it says £500,000 on sky sports news.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll back you up mate, seen it with my own eyes, poised to sign him for around £500,000 on SSN

Agree0 Disagree0

No she did'nt, she said he hoped to complete the signing tomorrow,,,,,

Personally I think to many people are saying old players are coming back they all left for a reason so I dont think they should be welcomed back sign a new batch of players to make Leeds the team the once was mot!

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Old players are like old girlfriends you should never go back! it never works out,the way i see it is why pay big wages for has beens when there are lots of great young talent out there who will bring us big returns if we sell them later down the line,i would be looking abroad for some untapped talent if i was warnock!! places like thailand,UAE or albania

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2012 15:30:44
Has Somma been kept on? {Ed020's Note - yeah}

Believable25 Unbelievable2

Warnock has said he's wanting to see both Somma and Rogers in pre-season, I guess that's why they both missed the cut.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to an interview with Warnock, mick jones is a huge fan of somma, so I'm guessing well be seeing him next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2012 15:25:02
i think all the players he has released deserve another chance i think he should get rid of mcormack and snods as they are both rubbish and lazy, also think bechio is not up to scratch

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Sounds like this person knows what he is talking about I wish he was manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha i was only kidding the above comment was from me, i totally agree with what NW has done, even agree with clayton, would be good to see a new breed of players coming, dont want the likes of smith, bowyer, woodgate etc etc. only ex player i would like to see back is beckford.

Agree0 Disagree0

! both rubbish and lazy? if they were we'd probably have been relegated. them two kept us up mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the comment above bring back beckford!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with this exept for snoddy, he's easily our best player and we should deffo keep him

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont fall for it, the posts are put on by some person who answers himself, do urself a favour and ignore this idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

Think a bit of sarcasm is in this e-mail , i like liverpool and think Carroll and henderson are brilliant but Gerrard is overated and would let him go on a free to reduce the wage bill, hence freeing up some cash to extend Andy Carrolls contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see why you bradford fans come on here pretending to be leeds fans, all those 3 have been great for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2012 15:17:36
Tomasz Kuszczak to sign for Leeds to spite Alex Ferguson for blocking the move earlier this season.

Believable20 Unbelievable27

He's a free agent in the summer as his contract will have expired

At least with all these players leaving there will finally be some activity for Leeds in the transfer window!

Believable22 Unbelievable1

03 May 2012 15:00:08
With Warnock transfer listing and releasing 11 players I sincerely hope that he has a similar quantity lined up. If he is only guaranteed 4 he might have to sign 4 or 5 has beens or never has beens then we could have the same quality squad as last season. If Snoddy and White leave we could be in dire straits.

Believable13 Unbelievable10

Totally wrong! we need now if contracts r accepted about 6 players in. we needed to thin the squad which is what he has done, less players in the squead means more in the wages pot.

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be 3 or 4 defenders coming in 2 or 3 midfielders and maybe a striker this is if the 6 transfer listed are sold there as been 7 or 8 players releases including parker and mika Vayrynen so its 13/14 players out and upto 11 in . probably just bring in 8 or 9 players in the end of a decent quality and then the bench will be ...................
Brown
kisnorbo
pugh
somma

not a bad bench in my opinion .................
id like to see
.........................

lonergan

new rb
lees
new cb
new lb

new cm
new cm

mccormack
snoddy
rogers

becchio

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he hasn't got 'simlar' quality as 10 of the 11 aren't good enough!! We need better quality than those departing

Agree0 Disagree0

Pugh and kisnorbo, not a bad bench. have you ever watched leeds ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds will have a smaller squad next season. Rather have quality over quantity

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe you should give Colin a call, i bet he hasn't thought about that. Doh!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope Uncle Ken said on Yorkshire Radio squad is getting reduced from 30 to 20 to make more funds available foir transfers, ie 10 plyers less those 10 players on £6k per week, NW now has £60k/week budget to get 1 or 2 better player so we will see more players coming in on higher wages but only if they are worth it

Agree0 Disagree0

The quantity is exactly what has been financially crippling us over the last few years. spending the wages of 11 bad players on 6 good players is a much better bet. thats how you build a good team. if you want a better team, you can't afford to bring a similar number of players in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock has been around long anothe to know whos got what it takes to be a leeds player. why do you think we brought him in because for once we have got someone in we can trust to not waste funds. mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2012 14:38:19
I think leeds will benefit from the wise teachings of the old saying 'don't change it if it isn't broke' and in our team we have perfect '100' chemistry. I also here we are signing Liam Bleazard he's freinds with McCormack!

Believable4 Unbelievable16

Completely agree mate, ive heard the same! good young keeper. {Ed020's Note - have you heard the same, because your the same person? lol, clocked your ip address mate}

I have just met Alan smith in Leeds
city centre and he told me he had agreed
a 2 year contract with Leeds united, to be announced tomorrow. {Ed020's Note - haha, believe it when i see it.}

Believable11 Unbelievable43

Yes it's true Smudgers coming home! (does this make it believable now?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, yeah right, I do not know who, or how important a person you are, as much as I think little of Smith, I do think he is capable of holding his water, and not blabbing about his future intentions before they are made public.

P.s. if you are correct, where will he play? He cannot score, cannot tackle, cannot pass, cannot 'keep, surely N W does not want him for his petulant snarl, spitting, and fancy highlighted hair.

Agree0 Disagree0

Players should be banned from putting rumours on this site what do you think yes for agree
no for disagree

Agree0 Disagree0

And ive just had a port and lemon in Big Lills with Will Smith - hes signing for deffo as our new LB, its true as the source comes from his dogs as its best mate with my neighbours pet Giraffe and ive had it on good authority - you heard it hear first !! GET A GRIP.. {Ed020's Note - funniest post ever lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of tosh and this is coming from the big smithy fan on here, hes made it very clear that he's concentrating on play offs with mk dons and considering options in summer.. if anything he'll probably end up staying there so someone's clearly having a laugh

No. Harte's signing a new contract to play in the premiership with Reading. Its Jacob Butterfield not 'D' and he's also signing for Reading from Barnsley. And i very much doubt we're signing Beckford

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian heart(harte) has been offered a new deal to stay at reading.
robinson wages will be too much
diouf will not be accepted by leeds fans, and i think nw knows this.
beckford wages too much.
butterfield offered new contract bt barnsley.
johnsons wages too much.
all these new names being banded about - do not forget we still have mister bates, who will still control the purse strings. nw is not only up against him he's cutting the squad to get in less players on slightly(slightly) more wages. i'd love nw to go out and buy all these players, but realistically it will not be possible, while we have mister bates in charge!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian Harte has been given the chance to play premiership football? Why would he come back?

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the perfect squad for leeds, WELL PLAYED LAD

Now lets get to the facts, i have watched most games this year, and almost all of them Leeds have been out played, out passed, out moved, out thought, and out fought. Now lets get down to it, the current bunch of players are not good enough, teams are not frightened to come to Elland road it is easy picking for them. NW knows his job and i am please that he is getting the dead wood out, we can not go on with not knowing from one game to another what we are getting. It is easy for the armchair supporters to comment on all issues, i suggest that they get to the matches and see the inconsistancy from game to game, these players can build them selves up for one game on a Saturday and play like kids on the Wednesday, please note this as been going on for five years, it is a fact. Now lets all sit back and leave it to NW, he will bring in Leeds players, you all know the player i am talking about, blood sweat and guts every game not when he feels like it. Can you imagine 11 players fighting like BATTY with 30,000 Leeds fans, come on it is not rocket science, teams will not relish it. NW will get this attitude, i am convinced, Lets all stick together and get ready for action. Kevin Leeds fan 50 years

Believable31 Unbelievable4

Your right, still can't shake off the Blackpool fans having a knees up in our own back yard, don't want to experience anything like that again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youre completely right. warnock will strengthen i am positive about that. more grit, more fight and more quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi, good call Kevin, I agree. It is about time teams coming to ER had their bottoms spanked. I look forward to the day when although we may be beaten, the victors will have a few wounds to lick.

Agree0 Disagree0

WHEN did leeds last play on a wednesday think b4 you put stuff and buy a season ticket

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope to god that he does. 11 players fighting like Batty would be fantastic! The only thing is that Batty was a top quality Premiership player, so the fighting quality is all that we can afford, but it would still be better than the rubbish we've got at the moment.

Agree3 Disagree3

Totally spot on to the main post, couldn't have put it better my self, we WILL have a battling TEAM next Season....MOT.

Everyone says that Leeds wouldn't pay 15k a week for a players wages. Maybe it's because they felt that player wasn't worth 15k a week. Doesn't mean that if a player is worth it we won't pay it.

Believable21 Unbelievable3

Bang on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with all that you have written, however, consider the motivation for players and fans. Blood sweat and tears is all good and well, if not undermined by the boardroom actions. Clearing out the dead wood should have started with Bates! No Bates= new belief. New belief= attraction of quality players= more fans attending= 12 man= promotion.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is possible to get the players we need on wages less than 15k a week. Therefore we shouldn't get players on 15k a week. We can't afford to go wrong, and that's what happened last time, and it's what happened to Portsmouth, Southampton, Charlton, Palace etc. too. Let's not make the same mistakes again.

Just seen on official website and maybe reading to much into the headline "BOSS ON VERGE OF SIGNING NUMBER ONE". I think it will be a goal keeper as that looks like a hook to get us excited. So I think it will be Tomasz Kuszczak.
This is just solely me thinking her, I'm not saying I over heard Alan Smith in Billy's bar or I'm friends with another team head scout.

Believable6 Unbelievable24

But could this mean number one as in his 1st signing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats because when you intend buying players somebody as to be bought 1st.SIGNING NUMBER ONE,and then SIGNING NUMBER TWO and so forth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonners retained (not listed) so GK not a priority.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why didn't it say number one signing. it's a headline so it needs to get peoples attention. it's only a suggestion as do need a keeper??

Agree0 Disagree0

No keeper needed he just needs confidence . letting all them goals in will knock the confidence right out of a gk and its up to NW to sort this out and get lonners back on form .

Agree0 Disagree0

This player will be JASON PEARCE not a goalkeeper

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonners is a decent keeper and if he gets confidence in his defence and midfield he will get better still. Would be glad if we get in Mills , Bamba , a decent left back and right back , winger and centre mid for starters. He has said Clayton not forced to go either and hoping he drops his demands.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan is a decent keeper and as good as all the names that are being thrown into the ring. NW certainly won't be parting with any of his budget to finance another keeper

Agree0 Disagree0

NW has heaped praise on lonners on a few occasions e.g vs hull...don't think he's going to sign a new keeper?!?....maybe to provide competition but NW likes to stick with his no1 and have his no2 as a youngster

If he does, I will be buzzing. Quality player.

Looking at the players people are linking leeds with on here, Oh my word i hope not!
Paul Green, Sammy Clingan, Shocking midfielders, Darren Ambrose? Not good enough.
Jason Pearce, Good signing if this comes off.
Matt Mills, Solid Defender.
Sol Bamba, looks good.
Diouf, goodplayer, i think he wud play well under the spotlight.
We are constantly linked with simon cox, Why?? Plays the odd game and scores the odd goal. but hes never been prelific or consistent.
Jordan Rhodes - We have no chance. when town finally decide to part with him for millions, Leeds wont be the ones forking it out. fact.

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Darren Ambrose is not good enough? How did you come to that conclusion?

This is the year for the final piece of the jigsaw for a push for the premiership. Let's just see what calibre of players we get close season. Can't be any worse than last year, or could it?.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

It appears that you haven't noticed that the jigsaw has just been dismantled and the pieces thrown in the bin. Warnock's task now is recruit a whole new team, of sufficient quality to get into the Premiership and stay there without becoming a laughing-stock. If he achieves that, he can walk on water just like Brian Clough.

Agree0 Disagree0

The problem is we had a lot of those jigsaw pieces but we keep giving them away for free. then we have to go and look through old jigsaws for the right piece to fit, of course it has to be free.

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll have to be a bl**dy big and bl**dy good piece to get us even close to playoff contention. I think people are getting too carried away this transfer window. The task is too big for one year's worth of building.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only piece we gave away for free was Beckford. Kilkenny was awful and never had a chance in hell of being part of a promotion push. Johnson I would have kept as a backup player, but would certainly not have had in the 1st XI.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please note I left the question open ended for debate not to be ridiculed. Besides, let's see what players we get before making unsavoury remarks before a ball as been kicked. Haven't you noticed, under new management. I know the reply already, same chairman. I say, same Leeds fans.

Warnock is apparently signing £400k Pearce which would be a £100k loss for Pompey so a good deal for us if true

Believable20 Unbelievable0

It's been reported to be as low as £260000 as we were willing to pay it in one lump sum. Even at twice that price it's still a steal, which is probably why bates has sanctioned the signing!

If Blackburn go down how about Robbo coming back?.He still lives local is a fan and is better than what we have got. Also think Butterfield would be a great acquisition he is quality. I also would like Morgan from the Blunts depending on his fitness, a real leader on and off the pitch

Believable10 Unbelievable14

Butterfield is on the verge of signing for Reading and Morgan is an awful player please no.

Newcastle roumoured to be in for Butterfield on SSN

Got a feeling Ken will offload Leeds Utd the day they get back into the Premiership...Try and get them up there while spending as little as possible to do it. {Ed020's Note - its not a secret, he's said thats what he's doing. i hope he has some billionaire sheikh or oil Barron lined up for us tho}

Believable21 Unbelievable4

That would be nice but ill be happy just staying in prem league once we get there. build a squad slowly . {Ed020's Note - i'd be just as happy with that too aswell lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

No I think you've got it wrong. He wants to walk back into stamford bridge as chairman of Leeds and there is nothing Abramovich can do to stop him, as they pushed him out unceremoniously at the end. Obviously wants to do it the cheapest way though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not getting any younger is he so its possible.

Who agrees that KB will fill his player vacancies for under £5 million and pocket the rest ;-)
Also Snoddy will be funding his back pocket too.

Believable10 Unbelievable12

The rest of what? We wont get £5m for the outgoing players. Clayton is the only one on the list of any value and he's in the last year of his contract so we wont get his full worth.

5 mill he didnt pay that for the club and all the players he as brought sorry loaned since

Leeds Team Next Season...

GK - A.Lonergan
RB - C. Gunter
CB - J.Pearce
CB - T.Lees
LB - Suggestions?

RM - Snodgrass
CM - D.Ambrose
CM - S.Clingan
LM - A.White

FWD - McCormack
FWD - Diouf

Would love Beckford to come back but can't see it happening, bought for 4million last year can't see him being cheap! I think Snodgrass will stay until christmas and if we are promotion contenders by then he will stay hopefully:)

I know we need to make some changes and improvements, like all teams do at close season. But is this sort of fire sale really required so quickly? And should it be happening with NW only on another 12 months contract? What happens if he brings as much average talent as we have into the squad & things don't work out.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

It's not a fire sale, it's clearing the deck mainly of players who we are paying for to do nothing. If Pearce is the start then the quality will be much better than what we have had

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes,getting rid of so many players was needed and will be welcomed by 99% of whites fans.but if as you say things dont go as planned and we end up with a worse team(though i cant see it myself) then he gets the sack and we move on, as always.MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with everything you've said. It could work, but there's a very high chance of it backfiring Liecester style.

Agree0 Disagree0

When beckford,Johnson, killkenny, howson, gradel and schmicel went we lost the heart and backbone of the team only leaving snoddy and becchio.
Lees clayton and maccormack have been pluses but the rest are just not up to it so no loss whatsoever

The reason Paul Robinson is been sent back to Bolton is because Blackburns Paul Robinson is returning to Leeds. NW thought it would be too confusing for him having two Paul Robinsons! Also, if Blackburn go down, Leeds are poised to make a bid for Yakubu.

Believable7 Unbelievable30

Why would Yakubu leave Blackburn for Leeds? Blackburn will be well positioned to go back up and he will be on quite good money, more than old Batesy will stump up for, then there's the transfer fee too. Be real

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see that happening. If Lonergan is been retained, then I don't see why he'd make a bid for Robinson, as we don't name a keeper on the bench.

As for Yakubu, he's performed well enough for someone in the premiership to take a punt at him. Think for the right price a prem team will probably put a bid in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell is it confusing? 2 completely different people, couldn't anyone manage the difference or would they fall to the floor having a head fit because they couldnt get their head around two people with the same name, wow Ur an idiot

Ben Watson at Wigan is Warnocks number one midfield target.

Watson hasnt been involved in wigans recent resurgence and could well make the move to play under warnock once again.

Bid been made wigan mulling it over dont expect a decision to be made until Wigan know what division they are going to be in if they go down Watson will stay.

busy summer ahead for Leeds!

Paynter,Clayton,Nunez & Connolly + £750k for Jordan Rhodes
D.Ambrose £500k
Clingan - Free
J.Pearce - £500k
Helguson - Free
Snodgrass to Southampton for £2.75m + Add ons based on interntional apps and goals

Believable8 Unbelievable26

Not a chance of Rhodes.

Not a chance of Ambrose

The rest is possible...

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass wont leave for less than £5million. and the deal for rhodes wont happen either. get realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Grayson fell out with Connolly so why would he re-sign him....?

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds won't accept £2.75m for Snodgrass. Swapping 4 players + money for Rhodes isn't likely.
Ambrose rumours are gaining momentum

Agree0 Disagree0

The same paul connolly that grayson wanted rid of???

Clingan- was in the old plans with grayson.

Jordan rhodes if grayson gets then up will stay with hudds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well swapping 4 players for 1 player would work as the aim for this summer is to reduce size of squad and size of wage bill so 4 for 1 is exactly what bates is wanting .just cant see it been them 4

Agree0 Disagree0

A straight swap of clayton and rhodes is almost believable if Hudds get promoted but why would clayton go down a division when prem boys are calling his name

Agree0 Disagree0

Just seen the very same rumour on "down at the mack" regarding 4 players plus cash for Rhodes .....(Must admit I did laugh when I 1st read it,..) INTERESTING

Clayton has tweeted he was NOT the player who asked for 15k a week. Bates said the players request is completely beyond this world. (i reckon its aidy white)

Believable19 Unbelievable5

Its a player called 7 years of lies apparently

Agree0 Disagree0

I think clayton was listed cos hes one that will fetch a fee not many of the others will

Agree0 Disagree0

It is Clayton. What Bates will have done is his usual mis-representing of numbers - he takes player wages, signing on fee, agents fees, tax, and then divides that by the number of weeks in the contract. So it may be the case that Claton wants to sign a 2 year contract on £12k per week but wants a £300k signing on fee plus agents fees, so Bates then calls that £15k per week.

White is on the retained list so I very much doubt he is the one asking for £15k per week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Claytons tweet was "I DIDN't ask for £15k a week"
Bates said a players agent asked for £15k per week.
Warnock said "the contract Adam’s representatives were looking for, we weren’t prepared to go to that extent"
All 3 statements are probably right, Clayton's may not have asked but his Agent may have

Agree0 Disagree0

It was Aidy White and Howson also tried to get stupid wages

Agree0 Disagree0

Has he been a naughty boy or something? Surely he is good enough for the first team squad at the least. So developed this season following his loan & surely at his age, is only going to get better?

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently it was ross mcormack that wanted 15k a year, or at least his agent did. he's only had one good season
