Please Please don't laugh but MC is meeting the agent of Davide Astori again this week as he desperately wants his favourite player at ER.
1 star to shine brightly and a man MC trusts

Believable52 Unbelievable62

He the same agent who represents Fabio Scoragoalio so could be either player MC is in discussions about

Agree1 Disagree4

true that . I hope leeds can sign at least one of the top caglieri players

LUFC issue statement that they no not wish to sell Ross McCormack??

Believable66 Unbelievable17

MC just stating what he thinks the fans want to hear - I reckon RMC has been sold & MC got strikers in place to replace him(but new strikers need to be as good, if not better)

Agree4 Disagree2

I agree, I've seen it many times before with Leeds (and other football clubs). I particularly remember:

"Rio Ferdinand is NOT for sale".

A week later he was gone.

Agree1 Disagree0

Still doubtful that he'll be here start of the season, might have just released the statement to let those that bid for him know that it's going to cost them. Do hope that if we do sell him that we don't leave it till the last minute like we've done before making it tough to find a replacement.

He's just stating that so other clubs don't come in with a lowball offer now Rmc has handed in a transfer request!

Agree4 Disagree0

If that's the case then get his lazy arse over in Italy!!!

Agree4 Disagree1

If he wants to go let him go, he'll never score 28 in a season again in view and he's the one who will regret leaving when he's stuck in championship and we get promotion, I want players who have there heart in it and want to play for the badge, no ones irreplaceable

Agree7 Disagree1

Dont keep someone who wants to go. £10mill can get u a lot.its football. won't be worth 10mill by next summer. he's not a ronaldo or a messi, he's just a good goalscorer in a bad league. he's shown his loyalty in the past which is admirable, he owes us nothing. wish more players showed us more commitment like he does.

Agree6 Disagree1

Totally agree with Martyn enough said

Agree1 Disagree1

My problem with all this transfer speculation is this.

If these Italian league players are so useful, why are they where they are, not at "Better" clubs.
Why when Watford chose an Italian Recipe did they not go after same players.

Why are players ( well 1 we know of )being considered for LUFC who essentially are "Conference" players with dubious pasts.

Very disturbing.

Agree3 Disagree2

Personally, I think MC is just trying to increase his price/value. It makes a refreshing change to try and squeeze every last penny out of the transfer. But I do agree he will leave. MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

They took their time to say this which makes me believe that it is just a way to up the asking price. £10m is a lot of money for a 27 year old who has never been in the top division. If he is not happy and we fan get that for him why would we keep him. An unhappy player does not normally play well

Agree1 Disagree0

Incorrect: Leeds statement says Leeds does not NEED to sell Ross.
Completely different to not wanting to sell and aimed at getting the best price possible.
The clue is in the statement. Now, go back and try READING THE WORDS ON THE PAGE.

Agree2 Disagree2

Agree with rover and sir phil. two very good points. no point specualting on players who we know little about and have not got, look at the facts, players being let go for free left right and centre and our only two signings are taylor and hockaday with blackman also looking very likely, this is very worrying.

also like the fact we have said we do not need to sell ross, ross has to go he is not happy with direction club is going in. he has been loyal and good luck to him, but good to try and raise fee. we let too many good players go under bates, players leave but get the right price for them. under bates ross would of gone for about 2.5 mill

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't know if I totally agree with don't keep someone who doesn't want to stay. 6 August 2013 Let me leave Liverpool pleads Suarez. Luis Suarez, 2013/2014 season, 37 apps 31 goals. I don't think its all over just because RMC is having doubts about the current regime. I'd like him to stay, at least he is proven

Agree2 Disagree0

We'll played massimo that will stick a few more million on marching on without Ross??

Agree1 Disagree0

GRL
Ross proven he's had 1 decent season out of 10, without looking he had a spell last season when he score 1 goal in 10 weeks just after Xmas, please tell me what that proves in Lehman terms?

Agree2 Disagree1

Leeds with RMC is a better team with him in it 28 goals last season your can't replace a player like that at our level not just on the pitch but off it too he's a leader and wears the shirt with pride more players should be like him he has to stay if we want to go up

Agree2 Disagree0

Someone who keeps banging in transfer requests isn't my idea of a good leader!

Agree2 Disagree2

Who wants to play for team that ain't going no where its done the the owner and this new coach to pull there finger out there arse and make sure he wants to stay keeping RMC is like signing a new player matt smith already said he would be gutted if RMC left would give the whole team a boost I agree that he shouldn't of put transfer request in

Agree1 Disagree0

Andy MOT
If that is true, it proves he scored 28 goals in 28 weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

WAYNE
If you are praising Ross so much (without googling) what was his best tally in 1 season before last year?

Agree0 Disagree0

GRL
that was off the top of my head from watching him last season but won't be a million miles away.
I have met Ross around 8-9 times so sort of know him and he's a VERY nice guy bought me a beer (im easily pleased lol) had a quick chat etc BUT!
The point i'm trying to make is Ross is 28 soon and he's had 1 good season. MC said he wants to get LUFC into the premiership in 2-3 yrs, if he does that will make Ross 31? I think if we can get over £6 mill then let him go and invest the money in a couple of younger guys for the future.

ONLY MY OPINION

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Andy MOT
I’m not looking to fall out with you – I’m just saying, I’d have RMC in my team. Potential is great, but experience is also good. My initial posting was a response to other comments regards if RMC wants to go, that means 100 percent he will be going – but yes, to your point, if the 8million that seems to be getting banded about is true, then it is definitely worth considering.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack, who has asked for a transfer, was booked on the flight but did not turn up and the Championship club are still waiting for an explanation. They are regarding it as a breach of his contract and intend to fine him up to a month’s wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

1 good season or not he will score the goals that takes us up just like his goals help us stay up how many of his goals won us games give him some respect

Stuart Taylor signs 1yr deal on OS now

Believable44 Unbelievable8

Used to think he was good years ago at arsenal!

Agree2 Disagree0

Starting from the back, maybe a back up for the Italian were linked with, good pedigree, experience etc not played to many games tbh but a lot better than kenny who is an absolute disgrace for coming back in that condition no respect for the club or himself. MOT

Agree2 Disagree1

I posted that he signed last night
It has took ages for the world to catch up
Would have him anyday compared to pie kenny.

Agree1 Disagree2

Kenny has let the club down, let the fans down and if he put a pin in his belly he would let himself down .
Sorry had to ne done!

Agree2 Disagree1

He is far too skinny

Agree0 Disagree2

I'd say Taylor must be a back up, he's only made 72 appearances in the last 10 yrs wherever he's been.

Agree2 Disagree0

PMSL Dogwise

Agree0 Disagree0

Taylor is not the way forward, Kenny was bad, overwieght and crap at staying on line, but Kenny use to be good, Taylor has never been anything but a also-ran. Average at best years ago with no club, if this is our pickings I see dark times ahead. Link to good players all the hype and then we have taylor in goal and blackman at left back. we are moving sideways not forwards (and that is being kind) next we will be siging kevin lisbie to replace ross Mc

Agree4 Disagree1

Dog wise
Nice one
If we put Kenny up for sale with all his experience would we get an INFLATED price ha ha

Agree2 Disagree0

Taylor (in the rare appearances I've seen from him) is a very good keeper.
It's a shame for him he was never able to make a number one jersey his own but he's dependable, professional and has a wealth of reserve football experience at the highest level.
Pretty sure he's been signed as a backup but I wouldn't be at all unhappy with him having been signed as first choice. He'll provide great competition for whomever Cellino brings in next to wear some gloves.

Agree1 Disagree0

It's now but done that Marco Silvestri will be no 1 in goal with Taylor as no 2.
Kenny is a no2, another joke there two in one day, what next!
We are being linked with a number of young Italian players so Taylor on board so he take squad for a happy meal if they win .

Pearce too be next captain, any thoughts?

Believable56 Unbelievable21

He should have been when he moved to us. He was Portsmouth's captain, always vocal and strong at the back like most good captains. Warnock made a massive error in judgement making Pelts captain, Rudy was a joke and mccormack was positive but can't see the shape of the team from the front.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah I would have him as skipper peltier.austin and to a lesser extent are not leaders MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

MC will take over as Captain

Agree1 Disagree0

Excellent choice -was my pick a year ago. Peltier & Austin were never leaders by temperament, and didn't set a leading example with the quality of their play. Pearce is the nearest thing we have to a rock.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we be him or luke murphy, only 2 players who are captain material
