McCormack off to sunderland with Wickham and cash coming the other way

Believable19 Unbelievable51

Hope so.

Agree5 Disagree1

Don't think so, McCormack might be off and it's looking more certain with the takeover collapsing, but Wickham is either off to Sheff Weds or Middlesborough on loan

Agree1 Disagree1

Ross to go yes. A replacement no. It's going to be a very tough 4 months to end of season I think. No money and half the players are not interested. Put some of the younger players in and give em a go. We lurch from one crisis to another at leeds. I can see carney, green and Ross all going today to clear 20k off the wage bill. Tomorrow could be painful to watch!

Agree1 Disagree1

£3m and Wickam i'd accept that as Roscos head has obviously been turned now.

Andy MOT

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree, 3 million and wickham would be good

Agree1 Disagree1

There's nobody in charge at Leeds right now. We are completely rudderless so who's supposed to be answering the phone and brokering these deals at our end?

Agree1 Disagree1

Where do u people get your rubbish rumours? Do u just wake up in a morning and think ohh let's get leeds fans hopes up with made up transfer rumours we aren't getting Any new players and only players that may go today is varney and diouf!

Agree3 Disagree0

Hope so, obviously your not a fan.sick of selling all our best players.
Red Bull get in and buy Leeds United

Agree2 Disagree0

How can deals be done in our position, players going out, players coming in blocked by gfh.
if i was ross i'd want out as well
good deal if whickham comes the other way+money as well.

Just been on tv mad max deal is OFF

Believable33 Unbelievable7

It was never on was it?

He is off to west ham on loan!

Just listening to radio leeds, Sunderland planning bid tomorrow for Ross McCormack, and said he's not detain to be here for the derby on sat.

Believable27 Unbelievable23

What station?

Agree0 Disagree1

That was from oggy the town man on radio leeds and if u listened properly he was stirring it because adam pope did not back him up

Agree1 Disagree0

They have just signed Ignacio Scocco a very similar player to Ross so I doubt it

Agree5 Disagree1

30 Jan 2014 17:08:48
Just been on radio that gfh have asked fans to ignore speculation as they have the clubs best interest at heart, I feel better for hearing that, NOT!

Believable32 Unbelievable9

There only saying that so no one protests or vents there frustration at em at Saturdays game! let's not trust the t**ts!

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jan 2014 19:06:54
Even if the italian chucklebrother buy shares in leeds he won't have control because gfh will still own controling share

Agree0 Disagree1

30 Jan 2014 19:11:01
Even if the italian chucklebrother gets involved he won't have a controling share so BMD will be safe his free to throw money at leeds but he won't have the power to sacking managers like they are going out of fashion

Agree1 Disagree1

I will sleep so much easier tonight. Thank you GFH for your continued kindness and consideration towards all Leeds fans. We must be the envy of every other club's supporters. Thanks and night nite GFH. P.S. Hope your shares continue to soar on the market, you deserve every success and all the benefits that success attracts.

Agree2 Disagree1

"Even if the italian chucklebrother gets involved he won't have a controling share so BMD will be safe his free to throw money at leeds but he won't have the power to sacking managers like they are going out of fashion"

Maybe that's why he went off home.?

Agree1 Disagree0

I think its Andy Flowers who has goofed up, and not been able to fund the takeover. Why is everyone convinced its GHF that have ballsed it up?

Agree1 Disagree1

Ive been looking back over mike farnans comments and tweets over the last few weeks, and i'm under the impression he very much wants lufc. there's a lot of fans tweeting him, and he is very courteous in his replies, but obviously not going into to much detail, but his intentions and vision for lufc are very clear. even mr jones is pushing him to get the takeover re presented to gfh. he obviously had to let mr haigh and co have the initial bid, but from what I can gather the future would be very bright with mr farnan. any comments Ed?

Agree2 Disagree0

What have GFH actually done wrong may I ask? Are we all jumping to conclusions it's there fault why the TO wasnt complete?
I had the impression the consortium headed by haigh didn't have funds because some people started to get cold feet .

We aren't going into administration, there are still 2 offers on the table so let's see what happens

On and on!

Agree2 Disagree1

Get the feeling that we've been taken for mugs yet again. Might as well realise going to the game on saturdays is a social experience rather than a football spectacle with any meaning

Agree1 Disagree0

Dont lose faith just yet. I don't doubt david haighs conviction to take us forward. it seems mr flowers and 'the others' got cold feet, but mr farnan is waiting in the wings, and maybe their bid will be put on the table to gfh. (who do want to sell). their is no animosity between mr haigh and mr farnan. although the latter has more mature business acumen.the italian stallion has already shown a lot of disrespect for lufc, by trying to put a man next to bmac for ipswich game. arrogance to say the least. let's hope mr farnan can get us over the line. then you will all be very much marching on together. check out his tweets over january. please sing your hearts out on saturday. let the players and staff and mr bmac know how much this means.uncertainty breeds anxiety whoever you are whatever you do for a living whatever you are paid.chant their names throughout and breath those goals into the net.let ross and the rest know they are the best. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

I also think Flowers was the one who got cold feet and it was his money so I've no axe to grind there. I have no reason to believe Haigh is anything but a decent bloke. i'm certainly not going to side with those who have been giving him dogs abuse. GFH got the club away from Ken Bates and things are so much better in lots of ways.
Panicking and aiming personal abuse at Haigh won't help Leeds United, BMD or the players.
If people think they're being taken for a mug they want to stop acting like one.

I see Max Gradel is probably going to West Ham, I am gutted!

Believable30 Unbelievable12

{Ed013's Note - He has signed on loan}

Even worse news that it's a loan, I'd rather have taken just Max on loan than both Kebe and Stewart!

Agree6 Disagree1

30 Jan 2014 19:22:24
We have been trolled by west ham for not letting mcormack go there I bet leeds united got a email from westham with a picture of max gradel on it saying you mad bro why did we not get him on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Just shows what a fool he is, obviously doesn't realise how bad wet spam are.

Agree1 Disagree0

Nothing about this on their website.
Only signing is Abdul Rasak from MAn City . He is an Ivory Coast international but not Gradel

Agree1 Disagree0

Ivory Coast llayer Abdul Razak and not Max Gradel

Agree1 Disagree0

It really has been a bad day and this just rubs salt in the very big wound it would have been nice to have had him but we can't compete with a desperate premier league club

Agree1 Disagree1

Max said over a year ago he didn't want to play in the championship again!

Good luck to him

Agree1 Disagree0

I couldn't give a flying f88k about Gradel! It was his choice to leave.
Grass is not always greener as many have found out. What really matters is the mess we are currently in. I life in hope it will turn OK. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Ssn and maxi twitter account confirm this

Agree1 Disagree0

Mcdermott shxt mananager why get stewart and kebe when he could have had gradel, sick of him and board brian making too many excuses should not have signed his god son hunt and let the leeds public pay him 16,000 a week hasn't played or scored disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

The future is bright. the future is white. we don't need gradel.there is too much speculation going on here. just stay calm and wait just a little bit longer. its going to be fine. this season is gone. but next year. bring it on.class signings and the youth.the italian stallion will not be strutting his stuff around er again. mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does Gradels twitter confirm it? Suggest he's in flying into London but doesn't confirm anything, tv stating they hope to sign. last update that it's off! Maxi is in the uk and on for a loan? **** it hope they pull a rabbit outta the hat, we shall see.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really infuriating SO CALLED Leeds fans wanting Gradel back after HE walked away from the club. (his decission)

Takeover officially off - Adam Pope has quotes from David Haigh on his twitter account confirming backers have walked away from his consortium.

Believable34 Unbelievable8

Full statement from Haigh taken from YEP.

“I have spent more than a year working for what I passionately believe are the best interests of Leeds United FC. During that time I have received fantastic support from the club’s staff and the fans. I have also been grateful for the full and continuing support of GFH Capital and my fellow board members at Leeds United FC

“My primary aim has always been to source the additional strategic investment necessary to take the club forward. Last year what I believed was the right opportunity presented itself in the shape of a chance for me to lead a consortium of investors, under the name of Sport Capital, to acquire a major stakeholding in the club.

“As fans know, we signed a share acquisition agreement with GFH Capital at the end of last year. This meant, I believed, that we were in a position to move things forward and complete the transaction in time for the January transfer window.

“Throughout every stage of the process we sought to keep fans as fully updated as possible on the progress of the negotiations. I can personally assure each and every supporter that every public statement made regarding the acquisition was made in the utmost good faith

“Unfortunately, however, some of the consortium’s backers ultimately didn’t feel able to deliver the financial backing we had hoped was agreed to take the club forward.

“Despite this, the future of this club remains the most important thing to me personally and I remain totally committed to putting the right team and backing in place to ensure that Leeds United can move forward.

“It is an indication of that commitment that in recent months the Sports Capital consortium and I personally have injected substantial sums into the club to ensure its viability. At the same time neither my life nor my job has been made easier by the personal intrusions and abuse directed towards me on social media or by some of the smear campaigns against me personally. Equally, some of the speculation and stories published in the media have made things difficult for everyone, including the staff, players and supporters.

“I have met many, many potential investors over the past year and, sadly, while many are keen to talk the talk, they have been unable or unwilling to deliver in financial terms. Nevertheless these talks continue with a number of parties to seek the best possible outcome for Leeds United.”

Now down to 2 horse race - the dodgy Italian and the Farnan consortium. Let's hope for all our sakes the latter get it.

SG

Agree4 Disagree0

Well this was a great ploy for gfh (bates mates) not to invest in this transfer window. Same again in summer I suppose. Mot (fed up)

Agree1 Disagree1

This article is on yep website now, Also there is a very interesting read on right in the gary kellys too, And after reading the latter I am seriously worried about Leeds uniteds future

Agree1 Disagree1

Surely the Football League will not sanction the italians takeover I wouldn't deem him being fit and proper having been done for fraud. just my opinion

Agree0 Disagree1

I am praying to god the italian doesn't become our owner.

Please god, if your listening, we've had over 10 years of rubbish. give us some good luck, just this once.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you REALLY believe 5 or 6 people were going to invest in our club?
DH if you want to find investment look for 1 or 2 people to invest.

I think this was a smoke screen so they didn't have to spend in the transfer window as promised?

Im not experienced in this sort of thing and its just my thought but I can see us being sold in the summer now the club is stabilised.

George Long to sign from Sheff U with Paddy Kenny going other way. Has to be a positive move that

Believable9 Unbelievable43

I doubt anyone in until the farce that is a Leeds Takeover is completed.

Agree2 Disagree1

I'd welcome it but like the above nothing will happen whilst the ownership remains up in the air.

Agree1 Disagree0

And is George Long going to play in goal? get sense

Agree1 Disagree0

George long is a goalkeeper so he would play in goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we got more chance of signing peter lorimer

Paddy Kenny to sheff utd a positive move?

Believable15 Unbelievable28

Reports on ssn say Graham in talks with Nottingham Forest

Agree2 Disagree0

So why is Graham talking to Middlesborough and Notts F about a loan move.?

Is that to buy the club?

This doesn't make sense? what is gus poyet offering this in exchange for, exactly?

Haigh to stay on the board.
3 players coming.
Exciting times at ER and about time.
Manager looking worried but poor guy is paid £1,000,000 a year to moan and groan.
We just need to lose all his bad selections ASAP.

Are you off your head no manager deserves to be treated like that i'm behind bmd and so is 99% of Leeds fans your prob one of the supporters who uses excuses not to go and stay away but always has a opinion we need to be with the manager and the lads

Agree5 Disagree4

Yeah it is getting closer. Its about 34 and a half hours away, 11pm Friday apparently.

Agree1 Disagree1

Nice first posistive post I've seen in a bout a week very refreshing.

Agree0 Disagree1

Are you part of the Massimo PR team? The tricks that they have tried to pull already are embarrassing, interfering with training and then trying to get his 'mate' onto the bench for the Ipswich game who has only managed some third tier cr*p in Italy! Get a grip, they have no time to bring people in and will have to pay the Manager off and wasting a large chunk of funds that could be better spent of the squad. Survivor my arse! MOT

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Jan 2014 10:44:25
i hope not . it will be the worst possible owner for us. he thinks he can manage the club through a manager, why do you think he had 36 managers in 20 yrs.

Agree4 Disagree1

Cellino will be an absolute cancer on our club. We've just had 8 years of despotic rule by money grabbing so & so, and we are now planning to replace him with his Italian counterpart. Two convictions for fraud, and an impending Embezzlement trial, no wonder he wants out of Italy. Brian Mc is a decent, thoughtful and respectful man and the stabilising factor Leeds need right now. Results haven't been great, but then again what support has he had. And the attempt to place a new prospective manager on the bench is a joke, Cellino will herald another decade in the wilderness and no doubt Criminal courts.

Agree8 Disagree1

Wouldnt call it exciting - more like worrying - being taken over by a bloke who is being investigated for fraud, every deal Leeds make would be scrutinised down to the last penny, if convicted we could be in the same position that Birmingham were in under Chung (or whatever name it was) - assets frozen and in the soft and sticky- he has a habit of sacking managers at the drop of a hat and interfering with team matters - can't wait- I know i'm going to get called a doom merchant but these are all possibilities under Cellino

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Jan 2014 11:33:15
Wow! I didn't think so many sheep would fall for Phil hays scaremongering. Bah bah!

Agree1 Disagree1

If it is true about mr.cellino and haigh, surely haigh will make him aware of the club and its fans and history, but you know what they say about a new broom.should they bring success, we'll soon forgive them!

Agree3 Disagree0

Third tier cr#p that now sit mid table in the Italian primera league, mind he did throw a load of money at them to get there. But there again who wouldn't if they made 200 million euros per year.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Jan 2014 12:51:05
the thing that annoys me about this guy is he has stated before he even owns the club that he is bringing in 2 or 3 players of his choice and getting rid of the manager. if he cared about the club he was about to take over he would of just stated that he was going to give manager some funds to try get things going in the right direction again.instead he has pissed the fans off . I can't tell weather he's going to try get us promoted or just come in sell top assets and then sell up

Agree1 Disagree0

The last time I looked AC Lumezzane were as far as you could get from the Italian Primera and that is the only club that Festa has managed. A full house is a gate busting 4000 supporters! Definitely a step in the right direction. Outside of that Festa was an assistant Manager at Cagliari and that was only brief like the rest of the management teams there. MOY

Agree1 Disagree0

Who do you think you are best manager in years, stop slagingn him off.

Agree0 Disagree1

What numbskulls are still posting that we're going to sign players when the club is basically leaderless?
