More realistic would be Morison + 1mil cash for becchio.

If we get Morison plus 3 million I will be getting mightily drunk Thursday night, I think that would be a great deal, almost too good? Add warnock, plus a pacy direct winger with a blinding cross and I will try even harder to get even more drunk!

Am I missing something? Was checking Morison's record, and he seems far from prolific as a goalscorer! He is a striker isn't he? Why are some of us getting very excited about him? Can someone please explain? Ed? Please.

"He seems far from prolific as a goalscorer." He is a proven goalscorer at this level. Scored 17 goals last time he was in the championship, and what I remember of him, very strong with a great eye for goal.

A plus side is he can play the ball along the ground even though his is probably more of a target man. I honestly believe his overall game play is better than Becchio's. Will be a good edition, and one that will be an exciting signing.

Morison definately a better player than becchio. Hopefully would strike up partnership with Ross - something that never worked with becchio. Thanks for the memories and goals though luciano.

Norwich fan Morrison has a good head but is lazy he runs for 45 mins then second half he just does nothing and CHris h likes players who work hard. I like Morrison but he just is not a prem player worth the gamble for us and just hope becchio scores 10 this season lol we also after hooper still.

Morrison is injured so why we signing him

Morison scored 17 goals in a very average Millwall team, given that he'd create more than Becchio and that we'll end up playing better football, I think it's worth it.

Ok so most likely looking deals are Morison, Warnock and possibly Habibou. That's 3 (NW said 2 or 3) now which one is supposed to be the icing on the cake I ask? :(

I would take Warnock and Morison, don't need another striker. I honestly think we are sorted now for transfers.

Morison is not a competant replacement for becchio and no matter how much extra cash we get this is not a good deal

Morison has proved his quality at this level, as has Warnock. We'll have to wait and see for Habibou, yes he looks good and has a good scoring record in Belgium but it remains to be seen whether he can bring that to the Championship. .Youtube isn't a great place to base a decision on a players quality

Why do we have to be put through so much agony as a Leeds fan.We went through the mill with the takeover checking websites every day for every crumb of information.We have the same situation with every transfer window, why can we not ever do our transfers earlier, we don't have to wait till the last day!

In relation to the icing on the cake signings, I am not sure we have even got to the shop for the ingredients for the cake let alone the icing, god I hope I am wrong, do not spoil the feel good factor that the win against Spurs did for us. For once Shaun Harvey will be busy doing 3-4 signings in one day if that is what happens we certainly need them.

Is it true Johnny Howson is also part of the Becchio move to Norwich.

That would be nice instead of Morrison he never wanted to leave was forced out by the club (guaranteed he was our lowest payed captain of recent years)!

Becchio still might not leave as Norwich have just signed some striker on loan from America

we trade in a 19 goal (already this season) striker for someone who has scored 2 goals; a relatively untried player in English football and someone who despite Villa's defensive frailties they want rid of. sounds good to me. NOT!

I think the word trade is off the mark, when all is said and done Becchio wants away that is despite being offered the highest pay at ER, the problem lies with a replacement and at what cost to the wage structure.

Warnock has a lot more pedigree than rickets. I know he was only capped twice, but he did go to the world cup in 2010, and would have got more capps if it wasn't for injury and cole/baines. He has also played 15 times in the champions league. So he's used to the big game. I think we need experience in defence, and if he gets his fitness up, he could do a great job in this division.

Morison scored most of his goals in lower league football. 10 in 53 for Norwich and 1 in 20 games for Wales. He has no skill and his strike rate at a higher level is rubbish

miserable boring fan, i'm a realist. why can't we hold onto these players, with the new investment from gfh. we've brought in tonge, got a young evertonian for a month, signed hall who warnock doesn't play and kept byram until next january when norwich come knocking again. its hardly setting the world on fire.

we can talk until we're blue in the face about potential targets but the reality of it is; we will spend next to nothing; bring players in on frees who other teams aren't interested in; talk about players who we missed out on because we can't compete.

We can't hold on to Becchio because he's handed in a transfer request pal, not much we can do about that, I think he only deserves 20k a week, so if he wants more let him go.

£1m up front? Leeds have never had a decent commercial head involved in the transfers. We simply don't know how to run a business. No wonder GFH Capital have financial woes! Call themselves an investment house...? Looks like money laundering to me i.e. another suspicious transaction.

Expect Habibou and Warnock to sign tomorrow. Disappointing January considering Neil Warnock said back along to wait until January, then we can make some signings. Tongue, Hall, Habibou, Warnock. On top of this Becchio wants out. I was expecting at least 2 more by this stage. Oh well hopefully the summer transfer window we bring some young exiting talents with Nigel Adkins.

Why do so many people believe we have to be constantly looking over our shoulders every five minutes for somebody new. We have some great talent at the club and yes we could do with a few more, but here's something new, instead of constantly moaning and complaining, and I know this is going to sound a little new to you, but how about getting behind the team.

First off S.Warnock is a great player, who can still play at the top level (the same reason why Big Sam wanted him), Barkley is unquestionably an amazing opinion (personally believe we should be working hard to secure him till the end of the season), and Tongue and Hall everyone knew we wanted them.

Sometimes you have to work with what you have, but that's football, seriously we are not the only team in the world, and not everyone wants to join Leeds. January is always a bad time for teams, and other teams are allowed to sign players without us wanting them you know? It's like Russell at Dundee, may be going to Palace. They got 15 million for one player, cause they are going to invest it. Leicester got Wood, Hull have brought in players who was already at the club on loan, we were never going to compete with them.

If Becchio goes then good luck to the lad, but we cannot stop players from wanting to go for money. If he wants 30k a week, then let some over silly club pay him it, but against Tottenham we stopped playing huffball and played a great passing game. Sometimes I honestly believe people won't be happy until we are financially crippling the club again.

Neil Warnock made a valid point, people increase their prices just because its Leeds. Every manager since our relegation from the premiership has said how difficult it is to bring in players to Leeds. January is such a tough month to buy in and I suppose if we had have forked out 35million for Carroll you would have been happy. If the players are not available their is nothing you can do. Look at Jerome Thomas, WBA got an injury meaning they wanted to keep him. Leeds won't sell Becchio till we have a replacement in, just like every other club won't sell their players unless they get a replacement in.

Look if clubs aren't willing to sell the players we are after then there's nothing anyone can do about it, if Warnock enquired about 10 strikers and all of the clubs said no its tough.

Anyway morison good for championship level, + cash sounds good to me.

if we got habibou as well then excellent.
