Why have you voted unbelievable? the draw was done after wolves game, its not a rumour!

These unbelievable votes need to be justified ed its 100% fact how can they say no?

The question is, why would you actually put this FACT on a RUMOURS page?

heard a strong rumour that boyd and taylor from posh are coming to leeds there could not agree terms with ipswich only went along to hear them out there already know wot leeds are willing to pay since the pre season sinclair who plays for posh is a leeds lad and lets just leave it at that[kez1919]

Hi, there is nothing quite like ignorance in action, as the first two replies show.
I would be fairly sure Emile Sinclair, (if that who poster one is talking about), hails from Leeds, and Peterborough and Portsmouth are two different clubs.
Boyd would be worth a punt if he could be afforded, but Tommy Rowe would be a better bet, he is class, just needs the right team.

If the takeover was that close the new guys would fund any possible signings now,just like they have funded all summer,the reason they won't fund any is because the deal is still way off and no certainties.

All the money spent by leeds so far has been given to warnock by the investors

They will not give anymore, until Bates has signed on the dotted line, makes sence why would you.

How do we know investors financed all the signings? To me looks like we sold more than bought and halved the squad size hence been able to offer a few bosmans better money. Why would investors fund transfers when no takeover is guaranteed?

All money spent by Leeds has actually come from the sale of our better players, nobody has put any money into the club

I agree with those who think our sales have paid for our new players, especially with Snodgrass leaving.

If anyone can prove otherwise - then do so?

Dunno about you guys, but I wouldn't be funding anything until I'd signed on the dotted line. I can't see a potential investor spending millions of pounds on the team only for the deal not to go through, can you?

You can invest in a club without taking it over, they may have invested under a loan agreement that expires once they have control of the club. if bates had spent any money he would be banging on about it, we would never here the end of it, as it is he hasnt said anything. the silence speaks volumes. and i know about the confidentiality clause etc, but that wouldnt stop him from commenting on any investment in the squad he had made.

Utter nonsense. Barton isn't coming to Leeds. He's suspended for 12 games and marseille wanted him. Hardly going to drop down to us to work with a manager he publically slagged off. And we can't afford his wages. Think it through really

My brother is a donny fan n the rumour going round his club is that we are looking at coppinger to boost are attacking oprions and also hearing we looking at jay spearing on loan with a view to permanant signing once takeover complete

Heard a strong rumour that Michael Owen is prepared to drop his wage demands to drop down a division even prepared 4 a loan move, he's keen to play football regularly still & has said he'd drop down a league to a well supported club. Apparently Everton had younger targets,so lost interest,Celtic remain interested but Owen doesn't want to live in Scotland. Owen wants to pass on his experience & retire at a big club where he can start coaching...Heard a rumour Elland Road would suit him down to the ground! :D MOT... (Jonny C)

I can't see it happening to be honest. Every interview i've heard he keeps saying how he's got so many offers, and how he is in such demand.

He is too full of himself to drop down a league, and our wage cap wont pay to keep him happy.

Considering he's a free player and out of contract a don't think a loan move is possible!

Soccer saturday a few weeks back he stated that he preferred to stay in premier league and he thinks he still can hack it at the level.

All good in the short term, and yes he could probably do a job for us. But he's become very injury prone in his twilight years.

Hi, given the current financial position, the last thing Leeds could do with is an overpaid, overrated, underachieving, sicknote.
Maybe if he has been paying attention when he was being treated for his numerous injuries, he has a future as a physio.

He hasn't played regularly since he left Liverpool. I can't see this being true at all. He wants to get paid a load of money to sit on the bench and only play exhibition matches.

El Haj Diouf wants a 2 year deal rather than a 1 year deal, thats why diouf not signed yet.

Nigel Reo-Coker and Matt Ritchie to sign tomorrow with Pugh, Nunez and Rachubka all leaving either on loan or sold.

As for the takeover it is expected to go through after the Blackburn game not before.

Former Leeds Utd target Craig Mackail Smith is subject to a tabled bid from Norwich City. He was rumoured to have rejected the chance to move to the canaries when he left Peterborough in favour of a move to Brighton.
Maybe Norwich thought he had moved to Leeds and then wanted to take another one of our players LOL

If the 72 hour rumour is true, it sounds too much like administration to me. GFH are not the buyers, but the company brokering the deal on the Sheikh's behalf. and we have zero in the bank.

How can we be in administration when we are one of few clubs in the championship making a profit? papa smurf is ensuring the club lives within its means

Leeds Utd as a club is making a profit, just that it is part of a bigger company run by Bates which does have debts. Bates himself took on all the debt from the club when he took over by dubious means and then seperated the club so that he could say he had brought Leeds out of debt, how good do I look, i'm the saviour of LUFC etc etc. The debt went to his various off shore companies and he added to this building upgrading the stadium etc. So yes LUFC as a club is turning a profit, but LUFC the company is slowly going down the plug hole. Read the long article on the banter page for more information that is phrased better

Again this is a bad post. Admin is used when you have unserviceable debt of a significant kind. We don't have that. We don't have any money but we don't have debts like that anymore. Don't think GFH are brokers more like front men.

Lack of cash (Cahflow) is generally what puts businesses into administration, not whether it is profitable or not at the end of the year!

Having said that, I do not believe we are close to administration, there are plenty of people/banks who would loan money to a profitable business which Leeds is, to ease cash flow issues - JH

And why is the s(h)un the only media outlet to post this 'news' if it's so obviously imminent.....

KEN BATES looks set to end his controversial reign at Leeds in the next 72 hours.

Islamic Investment bank Gulf Finance House Capital are close to a £50million takeover deal and they will replace chairman Bates with David Haigh.

Team boss Neil Warnock has had discussions with the prospective new owners about transfer funds and their plans to get back into the Premier League.

A source close to the deal told SunSport: "Things are moving quickly. GFH Capital are eager to start rebuilding Leeds United."

David Haigh parents are from Leeds. He was born in Leeds and later raised in Cornwall.Now a leading light at GFH.
Not sure though if GFH are buying LUFC or just the go-between for the Arabs.
