Daily Reflection reporting that Crystal Palace are to bid £2.5 million for Byram. (Apparently Warnock has told them about him in gross detail. )
Doubt he'd go to them, but they'd have to stump up nearly double what they are paying for Gayle in my opinion, as he has far more potential and we have no need to sell (hopefully)

Believable19 Unbelievable7

I doubt we would let him go for that, I am pretty confident he won't leave like all of our previous stars as by the looks of things we don't need to sell and he seems to want to stay for another season at least to see if we do get back to the Prem.

Agree12 Disagree2

Can't see that we really need to be selling Byram if the rumours of investment cash are true. Can't see that Byram wants to go. The lad seems quite happy.

Agree4 Disagree2

Daily Fail also reporting with a £3m figure.
If Palace believe Zaha is worth £15m & Dwight Gayle £6m then either of the figures quoted for Byram are laughable.
Byram has no desire to leave Leeds but IF he were to leave it would be a more established Premier League team to further his career.

Agree9 Disagree2

I wouldn't sell for less than £12mil. if zaha commanded £15mil then byram is in the same ball park as he too is a future england international

Agree9 Disagree2

Wilfried Zaha is already an England International

Agree1 Disagree2

LOL zaha is much better than sam byram. {Ed013's Note - Different types of player!}

Agree1 Disagree5

I do agree that byram is worth loads more than 3mil but never 12 attacking players do seem more valuable than defenders
wud hope for near 8 mil and to keep him on loan for next season

Agree1 Disagree4

Zaha was in Byrams back pocket for 2 games last season!

Agree5 Disagree0

If, as many of us suspect, Byram is shifted into a more attacking role as a wing or wingback, you can expect his value to soar, next season.

Agree3 Disagree0

Would not at all be surprised if warnock as been telling palace to go in for him, thankfully that clown is no longer our manager.

Agree2 Disagree0

Zaha has been around for more seasons in and around the palace first team. He only has one england cap (not exactly an integral member of the squad). Byram was called up to the u20 World Cup and if he has a decent season again I could see him getting a full call up in a friendly soon

Agree0 Disagree1

Zaha is a great player, byram is work in progress

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently palace making a 2.5 mil bid for byram. Not a bad bid but wouldn't let him go for less than 5 tbh. Young, very talented and a fairly new contract. I know he could fund signings but I would really like to see him stay to show we can build for the future and do have the financial power. But to be honest if a bid around 7 mil come in, I think we'll have to accept. Cumon McDermott don't let us loose this star as easy as we lost the others.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

2.5 million is not a bad bid? YOU must be joking, he's worth at least 8 million.

Believable22 Unbelievable3

02 Jul 2013 22:43:35
Mark albrighton on year long loan with option to become permanent. {Ed013's Note - Very nice if it happens, I get the feeling Brian has a lot more respect in the football World and can tempt better players to Elland Road than other Managers!}

Apparently Liverpool hoping to send stirling on loan to a championship club. Got info from spouse mate. Would love him to come to Leeds as we need a winger.
Liverbird

Believable31 Unbelievable9

Is that meant to say spouse or scouse

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 22:38:00
Heard an interesting one tonight - a tricky winger, yes. But not one that has been mentioned before-

Marcus Albrighton from villa - season long loan with a view to a perm deal!

Believable34 Unbelievable1

Was mentioned about a month ago on here

Expect Hunt and Wabara to join in the coming days, Mackay-Steven and Mills to complete a deal in the coming weeks, not sure if Mills will be permanent or loan.

Looking good for next season IMO

Believable28 Unbelievable17

Hunt wabara and mackay Stevens probably all them. 3 pertinent an matt mils season long loan

Agree10 Disagree8

Can see Wabara coming in.

Paddy Kenny to be loaned back to the Blades on a percentage of wages, so McDermott can bring in one of Federici or McCarthy.

Believable15 Unbelievable27

Can, t see kenny dropping down to league 1 to be honest, if he were to go it, d be to another championship club, or a lower ranked premier league club needing a back up keeper.

Agree13 Disagree6

Lets hope Warnock becomes the new Leicester manger, he'll bugger off there then!

Agree14 Disagree0

Heard that rumour twice this evening!

Agree4 Disagree4

Hey Flipperlincs, any relation to the Belgian lady who just qualified for the semis at Wimbledon- Kirsten Flipkens?

I'd suspect Leeds would be in for Ross Turnbull (out of contract at Chelsea) rather than looking at the Reading pair. McCarthy would be perfect but his profile has gone sky high and out of our reach.

Agree1 Disagree3

LOL no chance with alex mac

Agree0 Disagree0

Ross Turnbull would be a great shout. He'll be champing at the bit to be number one.

Noel and Stephen Hunt both set to sign?

Believable5 Unbelievable27

Think it, l just be noel, few years ago i'd have been happy with stephen hunt coming here, but not now.

Noel hunt and stephen deals both agreed. maybe upson also after pearce chose to stay at reading.

Beckford has had a medical but contract still not signed. McDermott has just put in a very late counter offer. Hope we can get Beckford back - proven goalscorer - his goals at ER badly missed. Come on McDermott, make Beckford your third signing.

Believable18 Unbelievable35

Lol, jesus, get over him! not the becks we had

Agree21 Disagree15

02 Jul 2013 18:50:58
Jermaine or agent - or couz etc - please stop dreaming - its over

Agree18 Disagree9

No he hasn't put a counter offer in. Get over it, let it go. He's the past. he's div 1. I for one would not be pleased to be taking backward steps now, after taking a few giant strides forward in the last couple of days. So, let's hear no more about Beckford.

Agree18 Disagree12

You seem 2 forget he was a proven goalscorer in league 1 and far from proven at this level, failed at leicester. would b a bad deal to get him I prefer noel hunt more as he's atleast scored better goals in higher clubs

Agree12 Disagree7

Its noel hunt, just the 1 hunt and no beckford, dare I say it FACT

Agree9 Disagree4

Worked on a building site with a few evertonians a while back, they said they had no time for him at all. lazy attitude and needed 6 chances to score 1.

Agree10 Disagree6

Signing for bolton.

Agree7 Disagree3

Id like to extend a warm welcome back to the Beckford rumour. PS by the way the alan smith rumour has announced its retirement from all lufc rumour sites to concentrate on 'going-into management-rumours'.

You heard it here first,. and last probably.

leeds sign nole hunt today and a tricky winger at end of week

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Noel hunt is the striker and Gary Mackey Stevens is the tricky winger the price on the winger is believed to be 800,000 to 1 million sounds good mot ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Brian McDermott

Agree20 Disagree5

His brother

Agree3 Disagree9

How is Stephen hunt a tricky winger

Agree5 Disagree6

02 Jul 2013 15:52:02
Hunt is confirmed, waiting of press conference. Everyone knew anyway. Rumour that Mccormack has had a bid on him from blackpool aswell, hope he doesn't leave. Game plan: Smith knocks em' down and hunt or Mccormack bangs em' in! just a quick winger now hopefully, Gradel isn't going to happen so pipe down. #LUFC #MOT

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Didn't we call that hoofball?

Agree4 Disagree0

Hunt is a lot better in the air than smith, one of his best assets!
otley white

Agree3 Disagree5

Hoping Hunt is NOT coming to Leeds - another Dinosaur and definitely not a goalscorer!

Agree4 Disagree8

Is this the same McCormack people started moaning about last season? One minute he isn't good enough, the next minute he should be worth 2.5 mil?? Gimee a break!

Agree2 Disagree2

I think you've got them mixed up there mate. Smith is 6'6" and Hunt is 5'7".

Agree2 Disagree2

How the heck is hunt better in the air than 6, 6 smith? lol he never scores headers and infact hardly scores atall. smith was playing 2 leagues below hunt and is far better and younger

Agree2 Disagree3

Just because smith is a lot taller than hunt doesn't guarantee he's good in the air, look at crouch a lot better with the ball at his feet. you will be surprised how good hunt is with his head.
otley white

Agree3 Disagree2

Hunt is amazing in the air. Who said smith is better? His goal scoring record is awful. Wish people knew what they were talking about before posting!

Agree0 Disagree0

I suppose shane long is s*** in the air? You don't have to be 6ft plus to be good in the air.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCormack isn't going anywhere, new captain

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith's ariel ability is his best asset. He's not great with the ball at his feet but he wins almost every header with some accuracy.
Hunt is being signed as an experienced squad player who can cover across the front as needed and bring on the youngsters. This is a sensible move. Wish folks would get some perspective.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even with Noel Hunt signed, we still need another striker now Morrison's gone.
Hunt, Smith, Poleon, McCormack. we're one short. A loan signing would do.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL well here is a stat 4 you to prove smith is better in the air. in 3 years hunt has scored 3 headers, smith has scored 15 headers so obviously smith is better

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim Cahill a prime example of a smaller player that was class in the air!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 15:43:02
Apparently Noel Hunt has just signed up! I bet know one got that predicted, lol

just hearing William buffet investing into club 3rd richest man. made his money investing like gfh

Agree8 Disagree16

It's Warren Buffet.

Agree5 Disagree2

They can make whatever bid they want, leeds wnt sell for that so who cares, unless its 3 mill atleast then its not worth it as he will score goals and he's proved 1 ok season dnt make him a bad player

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesnt matter what anyone bids, RM intends to stay at Leeds and BM intends to keep him

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance in hell would Warren Buffet invest in Leeds. Too small and investment, he's far beyond this level on his dealings

Where did this rumour come from?

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree1

Like Chelsea was too small for Abramovich?
Happy to see the super-rich investor rumours.

Just in: Gary Mackay-Steven has been a long term target for Brian McDermott and there is indications the player could leave for less than £1 million.

Brian McDermott has had conversations over the phone with the players agent and will make a bid this week.

The bid is thought to be in the region of £800,000 plus add ons. Player is keen to move away from the SPL.

Believable23 Unbelievable9

Fingers crossed! would be a bargain for £800,000 though! personally would put a £1. 5-£2M price tage on him

Agree4 Disagree4

Fallen giant U putting ya reputation on the line as U usually come up trumps, hope ya rite mate mot

Agree2 Disagree5

Can tell this mackay stevens name will keep getting mentioned a bit like before with quinn and montgomery

Agree4 Disagree2

If we could get him for a million then if he proves himself in the epl if we go up then he will make big big profit on this guy even though I would never like to sell him

Agree1 Disagree2

02 Jul 2013 16:30:07
And the rest
very talented lad don, t think 2 m would get him but then I could be wrong would love to see him in the white shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Hello. Forgot to mention Mills deal may be off due to player not wanting to come which sounds very odd.

Agree2 Disagree2

McDermott sold Mills whilst at Reading. There is no truth in the 'Mills to Leeds' saga.
One bloke we are trying to bring on loan is Marc Albrighton from Villa

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 12:15:38
Palace looking at Dwight Gayle for £6mill up front plus add-ons.
However much BMD likes him, I hope we're nonchalantly walking in another direction.
That'd pay for a whole new midfield. {Ed013's Note - To think Snoddy only went for 3 million}

Believable1 Unbelievable7

I know yeah edd but that's because our chairman was a money hungry so and so! and now talks of ross leaving for a million come off it! scotland international well sometimes lol but still got to be worth more than that surely shouldn't sell him anyways! {Ed013's Note - I really can't see how Gayle is worth 6 million either}

Agree1 Disagree1

Snoddy was in the last 6 months of his contract. He might have commanded £5-6m otherwise.

Berty

Agree4 Disagree1

Dwight gayle is worth every penny of that money as he's young hungry and scores for fun. he will double atleast in value next season u watch.

Since the signing of Luke Murphy Leeds have been linked with a number of players. Players we were previously linked with and players that we haven't been linked with before. So far I've seen;

Beckford
Gradel
Rowe
Mackay-Stevens
Forrester
Adomah
Mills
Hunt
Mackail-Smith

As I say these are just links and rumours that I've seen or heard. Not sure how many of these are true.
Would love Gradel back though! - JLM
MOT

Believable8 Unbelievable17

The same gradel who got sent of a few times in a short time? he's 2 good 4 us now anyway but for the money he will cost there are a lot better around. I tend to like players who can stay on the pitch for the whole game and not hotheads like him

Agree2 Disagree4

Beckford has signed for Bolton so can finally stop talking about him. Think if other signing this week is Noel Hunt then forget about any other strikers. Would definately take Mills and then a couple of wide players

Agree3 Disagree3

Beckford reported to be having a medical at Bolton today so unless BMcD puts in a late bit like he die with Murphy we can put that one to bed for another year

Agree3 Disagree2

I think now we've spent a million everyone assumes we're loaded and the silly season will now begin in earnest with posts linking us to players we are never going to buy. I expect to see some more incomings and outgoings but not for huge signings (hope I'm wrong though). With regard to Murphy, he is an investments and a very shrewd buy.
MOT

Agree4 Disagree1

I'd take Adomah in a flash, Mackail-Smith possibly. Sack the rest off, dead wood and wantaways I dare say.

Mark scwarzer has just been released from Fulham. now there's a keeper. don't know how much his wages would cost but would be bargain at free

Believable10 Unbelievable31

He's nearly 40, can you imagine the moaners having a field day if we signed him lol Great keeper though.

Agree1 Disagree0

Good younger keepers out there. Experience counts for a lot in goal, I concede but, Scwarzer really is playing past his use-by date

Agree1 Disagree0

A great keeper but he's over 40 now. We haven't had a settled keeper for some time now, Kasper, Lonergan, Kenny all 1 or 2 seasons. I want to get back to Martyn and Robbo, having a reliable keeper who will be there for a good 5 years minimum.

Agree2 Disagree0

Lol if we could get him on a free we would have 2 b crazy not to try and get him, 1 of there best gks in the prem last season

Agree0 Disagree1

I heard he was looking for £25k per week

Agree1 Disagree0

Leeds can't afford him simple

Agree0 Disagree0

He is going to roma, apparently

Agree0 Disagree1

Too old now, if kenny were to be replaced would hope leeds would go for a younger keeper, or give ashdown a go.

Leeds have bid of 1. 25 million turned down for Albert adomah of Bristol city according to 'club source' I am unable to reveal. Leeds mulling over reported 2 million fee requested.

Not sure if the lad is worth 2 million, although he ripped a few teams up last season, can't really think of a decent alternative, any suggestions anyone? Dannyleeds85 mot

Believable14 Unbelievable47

Hes worth max 1.3 mill and anything over is a rip of, good player but lacks goals

Agree1 Disagree0

Not worth 1.2m.

Agree0 Disagree1

Club source?
Captain Caveman's club?
If you're willing to make stuff up and give completely unrealistic valuations, why don't you invest in Leeds and stump up the cash yourself?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we were to pay 2m for anyone I would rather it be Mackay Steven, but saying that Adomah has done the business at Champ level, but Mackay Steven should be more than capable of bossing the champ

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 09:18:03
I think your putting 2+2 and getting 5!
He does not fit the McD mould of young and hungry? More likey bidders are Crystal Palace

Agree0 Disagree0

Its wigan who have tabled 2 bids for him, both rejected. mot

Agree0 Disagree1

Adomah not young and hungry? lmao there ain't many more hungry than him u tool
