{Ed013's Note - Please visit the Blog and polls page to view my thoughts on today's game, titled - The Circus continues with yet another poor selection and defeat! Feel free to add your comments and thanks in advance for reading. MOT}

Believable8 Unbelievable5

I think this is getting to a stage where we all know BMD hasn't got a clue how to use the players he has, but GFH won't sack him because of the compensation involved?

He is totally inept and has no idea of what to do, time has come?

Agree8 Disagree1

How ridiculous. Sack him and put who in charge exactly? New owners will want their own man in charge (whenever that happens). McCormick, without a shadow of a doubt is our best player and remains staunchly behind B.Mc.D. He didn't just become a bad manager overnight, 6th place an flying just before Xmas. Form definitely affected by all the take over nonsense. In my opinion "certain" players have let us all down and with nothing to play for now, youth players and squad players should be brought in and given a chance to impress.

Agree4 Disagree5

Ed what do you mean poor selection sure who else is there to play in all fairness it's not like Brian is spoilt for choice compared to leisters squad of players.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed013's Note - How about Mowatt not being played as a winger, Warnock at left back and Tonge in the middle for starters? I would even give Pugh a go at CM. If all that fails, play the youth}

Just been tipped off by a mate in the legal field that the QC hearing Cellino's appeal on Monday is called Anthony Boswood. His areas of expertise include providing specialist counsel in the area of sports law and finance-he was significantly involved in the Olympic Park dispute involving West Ham United, Leyton Orient and Tottenham Hotspur which required judicial review legislation in which he is notably expert. Also expert in International Law and arbitration including Formula 1, cricket, Premiership and Football Association- so he will have an in depth knowledge of Italian law which is a key issue surrounding Cellino's appeal and determining his "innocent" or "guilty" status under Italian law. My source told me that it is probable that the appeal will run into a second day and that Boswood is an ardent Chelsea fan who despises Ken Bates so hopefully he will do us a favour and rid us of Bates for good by overturning the Football League's decision.

Agree1 Disagree2

Circus is a good word, didn't see the game but can't help but think they should come on the pitch to send in the clowns

MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Regarding Anthony Boswood comment, you have provided enough information to make me believe you tks.

Play the youngsters and show some pride

Agree1 Disagree0

Hopefully if Cellino wins his appeal next week he will bring some stability. That said I can't see him sticking with BMD, despite the uncertainty over ownership there are no excuses for the woeful performances we have witnessed in the past three months. What's next if the appeal fails though? The future looks bleak if that happens because GFH have not got a clue what to do next

Not being funny lads but if we get points deducted on our current form we are getting relegated

Leeds could be left in administration unless Cellino miracle happens

brian mc said Cellino's appeal is on Monday and should know by Tuesday

Believable35 Unbelievable12

If the appeal starts at 9am we will know by 9.05. He has absolutely no grounds for appeal and it will be rightly thrown out.

Cellino is the architect of the mess the club is in at the moment and as soon as he is gone the better we will be. At least we will be able to move forward and find another buyer.

Agree0 Disagree18

How do you work that out? Gfh got no money trying to sell shares to every man and dog!

Agree7 Disagree0

Some fans comments on ere are about as good as GFH.
If Cellinio don't buy us GFH can't pay next months wages, that means EVERYONE knows they have to sell and can name there own rock bottom price.
Pappa Smurf or any Tom, Dick and Harry could end up owning us FFS

Agree1 Disagree0

First reply probably from Farnan or Flowers looking to buy club on cheap

Agree1 Disagree0

Cellino is a football man finicially stabilised Cagliari for 20 yrs, ok tried to dodg nport duty, don't we all, he is no more a crook than half the politicians in this country, and papa smirf with h off shore tax haven MOT

Agree3 Disagree1

I agree with the above post, Cellino is no worse then any other shifty tax evading, or tax dodging people, he is a passionate Italian football man and I think he could be good for our club iff given the chance, he would sort the lot of em out and restore some passion back in the team!

Agree7 Disagree0

Case heard Monday, we should find out Tuesday, Tuesday 2019 sometime.
Haha
Snoopy MOT.

Agree1 Disagree0

We all know of a billionaire in the Prem who cannot go back to his own country due to fear of repercussions another just convicted of money laundering. Both passed the fit and proper test!

Agree1 Disagree1

Cellini is the ONLY way forward for this club. Pray the decision goes his way!

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Mar 2014 11:50:28
Cellino is no worse than the very people making a judgement off him
He's our best roll of the dice right now

Agree1 Disagree0

Hope Massimo gets ok. QC will be impartial and judging to see if FL decision is correct or that he is well capable of running the club. All FL have done with this prolonged decision is to feed the media so that Massimo could be vilified as a bad man because they were investigating him. FL board not fit for purpose and should be replaced by independent panel of experts

Agree1 Disagree0

Football league wouldn't be doing its job if it allowed a convicted fraud to run a football club. Oh hang on our football club! Well that's alright then.

F

Agree1 Disagree1

The chances on it getting over-turned are very slim indeed.we have had enough of dodgy people running our club.risdale then bates

Agree0 Disagree0

Look he is innocent in law till the 3rd appeal why do you think the totally not fit and proper fl waited till the verdict in italy to make a judgment knowing he would be found guilty in under 10 minutes the court has his money for at least 14 months till the appeal is heard lovley! but he is innocent in law full stop! till the 3 rd appeal so you can not find him guilty so win win for dodgy fl they waited to turn him down on a ruling that will be over turned by appeal so they can say they turned him down just to cover there own arse's so if he turns out to be another gfh they are covered! mot

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't mean to be THAT guy, but if he's been found guilty in an Italian court already, then he is guilty. innocent until proven guilty= true, but he has been proven guilty. its now up to him to appeal and prove his innocence.

personally, I wouldn't want him at all if it didn't look like GFH have put all their eggs in his basket already.

Agree0 Disagree1

Goodbye and goodridance mr brian McDermott clueless

Agree0 Disagree0

It was inevitable that MC would be found guilty by the Italian court, considering it was the Italian taxman taking him to court. His appeal on tax evasion will be overturned. However that will come too late for Leeds as the QC will not overturn the FL's decision.

Agree1 Disagree0

If the Qc is dealing with law as he is! in Italian law mc is innocent so the QC can only find him innocent unless he wants to make his own laws up for the not so fit and proper FL to use for there own ends! even translating to English law you can not find him guilty because even the Italian law does not find him guilty till his 3rd appeal so its a total farce! HE IS INNOCENT IN LAW THE ONLY LAW HE WAS TRIED UNDER ITALIAN LAW! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Italian law is not the same as in the UK. Here you can appeal to a ruling but the result stands until another result replaces it. In Italy when you appeal you are innocent again until the result of the appeal - this is why Berlusconi was able to remain in office as PM there, despite so many ongoing apeals and prior verdicts against him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its all well and good highlighting differences in Judicial systems of Italy and UK, BUT. Its the UK where he hopes to buy a majority share in a club. Plus, its not only the yacht saga with him, there are OTHER cases pending. Be careful what you wish for.

Agree0 Disagree0

Be careful what you wish for?

Give us a viable alternative to Cellino. Someone who isn't trying to buy the club for nothing and pull more money out of it.

Cellino has got the money, knows the job, and I admire his spirit. Cellino IN! He wants leeds in the premier in 2016. And I'm with him. Beats playing league 1 football again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm in favour of cellino!

Agree0 Disagree0

We are all doomed, Mr Manerring.

. doesn't matter what happens today we are STILL Leeds United and still have the best supporters in the world.

Bring it on, let's get another ticket to the perpetual roller coaster ride that is Leeds United!

The owner of Aston Villa is watching the current situation at Leeds very closely and is considering bailing us out and making a bid, not sure how wealthy but surely anyone is better than GFH now and might be able to get a few decent loanees of them, or even permanent signings.
MOT!

Believable10 Unbelievable68

Randy Lerner is worth about $1 billion. That being said, we will more than likely end up with another owner who has no money.

Agree1 Disagree0

He is wealthy enough to have waived the 100 million dollars in interest that the Villa owed him a few years' back.

Agree1 Disagree0

Don't think one person can own 2 clubs. Correct me if I am wrong

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Mar 2014 19:03:21
you are not allowed to own two clubs, it is against league rules.

Agree2 Disagree0

An miner can own as many teams as they want the charlton owner owns 6 but an owner can't own 2english clubs

This is in a National Newspaper today:
Crystal Palace, QPR and Fulham are considering summer moves for Leeds striker Ross McCormack.

Believable57 Unbelievable6

Well do you blame him if he goes I'm sure there will be some who snipe at him! The CANCER that's killing our ONCE GREAT CLUB will no doubt kill even the decent players for us that really do care and love our club, ie Ross, byram, etc it's only a matter of time we would be picking this juicy car us if we had any money that is so other clubs are going to do it to us FFS GET SOMETHING SORTED THERE WONT BE OWT LEFT OF OUR CLUB
if this goes on any longer it's worse than the bates days AND I thought I'd never have to SAY THAT EVER AGAIN,
LEEDS for life
MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Even with a takeover, Ross McCormack will not be playing for Leeds United next season.

The three clubs named above won't have a chance of signing him either. No doubt Norwich City if they stay up, will add another Leeds collection.

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Mar 2014 19:25:40
Good luck to McCormack - even Doncaster would be an advancement on this shambles of a club - we all thought Bates, Warnock we're ban and the Meerkats well were but GFH are the biggest bunch of Goats ever!

Agree1 Disagree0

Fulham will be in the Championship next season, QPR would have a transfer embargo if they still are (under FFP laws) and Palace could still go down. Not really an improvement for him. I could see him going to Celtic, but I'd like to see him playing in a Euro league. I think he's very gifted technically and would go well in a foreign league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont really care, I am a little more worried about whether there will be a Leeds United to support next season.

Rumours afoot on twitter yesterday that Harvey had a convo with a ss5 supporter saying Cellino will win appeal hence the reason for Farnan to come out last night. It's gathering pace but as I said I'm not ITK it's just a rumour even though the guy is adamant it's true & conversation took place.

Believable15 Unbelievable48

Can't see harvesy saying anything tbh seeing he will have no say in the appeal

Agree1 Disagree0

Would it get the football league out of jail - they decline and its get overturned at appeal? everyones a winner!

Agree2 Disagree0

If he was going to win so obviously why would they turn him down initially?

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes I can see this happening. An independant body decides on the appeal. If it goes through, the FL (under pressure after the yeung deal (and now prob GFH )) are in the clear!
Win win, which is the only win I can see us getting till next season!

Agree2 Disagree0

29 Mar 2014 16:52:38
The independent QC will interpret Italian law and see how it applies to the FL Fit and Proper rules. Nobody knows the answer yet. It's had to see how Cellino will win though. The FL had a legal team look at at already.

Agree1 Disagree0

Speaking from a legal point of view he has no chance of winning the appeal. Sorry but it's now time to move on although where to no one knows. I have been a fan for 40 years and I have never been so depressed following my team.

Bromleywhite

Agree2 Disagree0

Speaking from a legal point! when he appealed he is innocent! in Italian law! so to fail him though he is innocent seem's wrong in law! so even saying but this is England and so he would be guilty in England so he fails FAPT does not work he was not tried in an English court, only the Italian court so there laws apply do they not! so he appealed and is innocent so FL has no grounds to fail him for the FAPT that's my view of it MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Well let's hope you are right then. Somehow I doubt it. It's over with Cellino save we owe him a load of money along with a whole host of creditors. Looking forward to playing Rochdale next year in league 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

The FL stated he failed because of this Italian court ruling of guilty! but when he appeals in Italian law he is then innocent! until the 3rd appeal which could take years to hear I believe the not so fit and proper FL used this as a way to block him knowing he would win on appeal just so they can not look bad! win win for the not fit and proper FL as they turned him down to start! just incase he turns into another GFH which I very much doubt as he's loaded and wants to get LUFC up to the prem as that is where the big bucks are so he can get even more money MOT

Was on tv that trusting leeds will buy us if the appeal fails and said they can get leeds back to top

Believable15 Unbelievable32

Hope paddy Kenny is back in goal today, think we need his experience a bit .

Agree3 Disagree0

Who is trusting leeds and what channels it on

Agree2 Disagree0

I think maybe he means together leeds, I read an article with them saying if cellino appeal unsuccessful they will be waiting and want a chance to takeover, which it also stated they believe they have enough money to give leeds a good chance to get back to premier league. Dan

Agree1 Disagree0

Like Together Leeds have enough money to get us back to premier league. Really hope they could but I just can't see it at all.

If GFH have any sense left they'll negotiate. They haven't shown much yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

So did GHF! All talk!

Agree0 Disagree0

When discussing financial backing all farnan could say was that he had "institutional backing". So Farnan what does that actually mean?! co-op bank, their an 'institution'. as are GFH! In other words you and your consortium don't have a penny. very revealing to find out that you have even approached Bates to join your merry little band of highwaymen. No thanks Farnan, don't need another ten years of abject failure.

Forza Cellino!

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Mar 2014 16:54:22
Cellino is not going to win though. We need an alternative, and you don't know what backing Farnan has, because he hasn't made the detail publicly available. Why would he?

Agree0 Disagree0

Only passing on what I read, never said I believed it. Dan
