Leeds United youngster Charlie Taylor is set to join York City on loan.

The 18 year old is to join York to gain some first team experience.

The product of the Leeds United academy made four appearances last season, making two starts against Crystal Palace and Peterborough United, both at Elland Road.

Taylor also had a month on loan at Bradford City at the turn of the year, making four appearances.

This will be good for Charlie Taylor, i do think taylor is just as good as Byram, if not a little better. The problem for him was getting his chance last season, when the team was poor and pressure was high. Taylor will come good after this loan. I've watched him in the youth team and he stood out by a mile.

Good move, the lad has ability and a good future. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree this will only benefit the lad and help gain some experience.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad move, if he has a future he should be going to a higher league.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Bad move, if he has a future he should be going to a higher league." York are in league 2 now and that is the same league in which Tom Lees got a lot of his experience before breaking into the first team. This is nothing but a good move for the player and the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont like loaning out players as they are not learning about leeds utds way of working and instead they are learning about another club. so when they do come back they are going to be the same, just played down in L2.

mike.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bad move my ass, if he can't cut it in league 2 he will never cut it with us.

Lennon could find himself sold by spurs.
Anyone know if we are entitled to a portion on any sell on fee?

Where propably still paying his wages so i doubt it mot4ever?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we might be. def are with danny rose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn t make any difference if we were, its not like it would be given over for team strengthening. MOT IrishWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

I know if we got back to prem within 3 yrs we could buy him back for 1 mill but way past that, not sure on the sell on clause though.
mot4life

Agree0 Disagree0

No, we did have but it was sold off for a lump sum

Agree0 Disagree0

We sold it off to by kevin nichols

Dum question but what does MOT mean {Ed013's Note - What does Dum mean? Marching On Together}

Agree0 Disagree0

WTF does MOT mean?? F*** **f

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously not a MOT believer!

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on last post, it might just be a young kid asking!

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite a few people think it's Marching All Together, so they'd be forgiven for not knowing it's MOT...

With Frazier Campbell being told he can leave Sunderland, he'd be a fantastic loan signing IMO

Believable25 Unbelievable17

We can't afford even what diouf wants and he's asking for very little.he was on less than 3k a week at Donny.

Agree0 Disagree0

He only want to move because he wants to go back to London as he misses his family in London.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will get premiership attention

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt that now jordan rhodes going from town he will go there!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lionel Messi would be a good signing too!!!

hearing from a strong source that beckford likely to sign on loan before friday with leeds paying up to 70% of his wages and leicester looking to offload an unhappy player. was an unused sub in the league yesterday and a second half sub in their previous game so could be possible.

Believable45 Unbelievable46

You talk rubbish.beckford is not coming back to leeds

Agree1 Disagree0

Already confirmed he will not be coming back :( sad for us all but we must come to terms with it

Agree0 Disagree1

Leciecter are below us ! they are out of the Cup , Beckford has past his best ! and can not even get in the team so why would we want him back . its about progression not regression

Agree3 Disagree1

He ain't worth 70 per cent. Wouldn't that be 28k a week? Said it a few times. I believe we will pick him up in the January transfer window. By then he will have truly ticked off Pearson and be available cheap. We could probably buy him then for like 400k.

Agree0 Disagree1

Beckford:- great league one scorer, poor premiership scorer and only fair to middlin in the championship! we already have better at our club.

Agree1 Disagree0

70% of Beckfords wages would be way over our wage limited, so that is crap

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would we pay 70% of his inflated wages. he is not in the 15k limit because his is in an ongoing contract

Agree0 Disagree0

So would he replace the guy who's scored 3 league goals, the striker who has 3 assists or would he just sit on the bench like you should be doing. Sit down and shut up!

Agree1 Disagree0

Just fyi, Beckford was Evertons leading scorer during his season there, so he can't be that poor in The Prem, he also, bar Ross, out scored any of our players last season

'C'

Agree0 Disagree1

He would resume his highly prolific partnership with Becchio, with Ross being given the opportunity to continue providing assists from the flank. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree1

Just been confirmed on OS

Agree0 Disagree0

He is going to huddersfield town!!!!!!!!

fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately, he's become a cult icon for Leeds and effectively the next Smith in that respect.

Fortunately, Beckfords got more ambition than to go to a 'tinpot' club like them down the M62, who will now be relegated having lost their messiah Jordan Rhodes to Blackburn :) Sucks to be a terrier pal ^^

What appened to all leeds top players? town have only lost one

He is going to Uddersfield. Leeds can't afford his wages now that is a fact

Am hearing that a lot of premiership scouts, including the top 4 clubs not just Norwich and there level, are around Leeds at the moment looking at Sam Byram and Dominic Poleon. Not looking at a transfer in this window but seeing how they progress in the first half of the season both in the reserves and any first team match time they get. Possible deals would be done in january transfer window depending on how they are progressing. Hopefully new owners in by that time so we can resist the pull of the big clubs a bit by offering better wages but still see them going if its one of the top 4 bidding as the lure of a big club would probably be too much.

Believable17 Unbelievable49

Utter nonsense - does the 4year deal which byram signed a couple of weeks back count for nothing!?

No club would scout a potential player a fortnight after he signs a new long term deal, with a view to signing him in 5months time! Probably best to do research before making carp up!

Scot MOT!

Agree3 Disagree0

Whether you are teasing us or not (though I do have my doubts given Poleon's paucity of action to date), clearly the sooner we get out of this league the better -then only the top 5 or so will be a real pull for our players; in other words, normal service for us will be resumed. I for one am impressed with how NW has gone about his business, establishing a strong core and positive morale after the sad shambles of last season. Another 2/3 class players (whether initially on loan or not) could set us up nicely for a really decent campaign... Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

At the end of the day money talks and if the right amount was offered for the players they would be sold regardless of if they had a 4 year deal or a 20 year deal. Also history has shown that if a player wants to go, 9 times out of 10 he goes. Not much loyalty in footy now, the lure of that big payday is too much. Also if KB is still in charge god forbid then he would sell them for peanuts if the deal was right for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah after byram has just signed a four year deal. Mega mint neededit cost Chelsea 5m for two kids that never played and were on scholarship deals. So I would want that for Byram plus sell on clause of 50% that will frighten off norwich

Agree0 Disagree0

I cover reserve matches across the yorkshire clubs as a reporter, and having been to a couple of the recent leeds games I can confirm what the first guy said. I know a lot of the scouts for the premiership clubs, you see the same faces at different games for different teams and can confirm that I have definitely seen scouts from LFC and MCFC at these games. They may have been looking at different players but they have definitely been there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course money talks - in football more than anything. But the point im making is that once a player signs a new deal then clubs will go elsewhere so it has nothing to do with money talking or a players decision. How many times has a player signed a new deal n then been rumoured to be linked away a week later? Never!

Signing a new contract signifies a players happiness at his current club, regardless of whether byram knew of interest or not he is obviously happy at Leeds to sign a new deal!

I can guarantee that byram will be a Leeds player at the end of the season still n this was made up...

Scot MOT!

Agree0 Disagree0

They r not gona get sam byram cos he's just signed a new 3 year deal

Adam Drury, is realy a spy for Norwich, be prepared to lose more players to the Canaries

Agree0 Disagree0

How's he a poor Premiership scorer? He played mainly as sub for everton and still managed to get 10+ goals

Agree0 Disagree1

Did anyone see poleon in the fa youth cup.... awfull lol missed a stack full of chances wish they wer at that game instead

Swindon's Matt Ritchie to sign before end of week

Believable11 Unbelievable40

Were the hell are we getting the 1.5 million from, warnock has allready said were not buying anyone. Only loan signings in september

Agree0 Disagree0

No he isn't

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of getting Lionel Ritchie !!
Do You not realise we only get players that their clubs do not want !!

Agree0 Disagree0

The poster didn't actually say WHAT Richie was actually going to sign?

Maybe someone will want his autograph on that day, maybe he'll be signing a cheque, who knows....

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybhe we have more chance to get Andy Richie

Morning all heard rumours Matt Ritchie from swindon deal almos done what does everyone think haven't heard anything about him before
JK

Believable7 Unbelievable29

Never heard of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Left midfield or lb plays for Swindon quite skilful but plays with intelligence better than Pugh but don't think he cuts the mustard

Agree0 Disagree0

Swindons best player, and they are a very strong team now!

Agree0 Disagree0

He looked good in League 2 last season, was probably their best player when ever i saw them on Sky. But doesn't mean he can cut it in Championship.

Maybe take on loan with a view of signing if good enough?

MrP

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable

Agree0 Disagree0

Well regarded, young. Started at Pompey in the Prem. Scores goals, lots of assists; can play on either wing. A promising alternative to Templeton as Snoddy's replacement. Would seem to have a good chance of making the step-up. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

From what I'v seen/heard he's a decent player, Swindon's best (not that that's something to call home about).
I'm sure Grayson was after him too last season (when at Leeds)? Could be wrong - JamesC

Agree0 Disagree0

He used to play for Portsmouth! Peter MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

But we have no money and they are flying under Di Canio. Don't think so

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember arsene Wenger saying that he isn't buying players just to take the media interest away and then snapped up three players, so in a way I believe that there is one more signing for NW but can't see it being Matt Ritchie, also George Boyd looks like he's off to Ipswich.
Will.

Agree0 Disagree0

Swindon turned down £900,000 for him in July saying he was worth £2.5m. We haven't got any money so there is no way he is coming to us
