Eddie Howe is interested in signing Patrick Kisnorbo to Burnley, and NW is set to let him leave as he is deemed surplus to requirements.

Also Billy Paynter has attracted interest from old side Swindon and Charlton Athletic.

We could have a field day this summer with former players, smith and bowyer out of contract, Beckford wanting to come to Leeds. I would personally have all 3 back, along with the likes of Matt Mills, Jason Pearce, Sammy Clingan, David Templeton, Chris Gunter. What a team this would be
Gk-Lonergan
Rb-Gunter
Cb-Mills, Pearce
Lb-White
Rm-Snodgrass
Cm-Smith, Bowyer
Lm-Templeton
St- Beckford, McCormack
Subs-Clingan, Clayton, Somma, Webber, Lees, new gk, Kisnorbo

Also, Becchio needs to go I think, lacking fitness that has never been addressed, get 2million for him and that would be ace

Believable17 Unbelievable32

Becchio lacks fitness, but you want to sign Bowyer and Smith? logic.

Agree0 Disagree0

If u hav been to every match this season, then you would have seen that Becchio cannot last 60 mins, never mind 90 and if you consider the amount of chances he has missed compared to how much he has scored, he is just not good enough. Smith and Bowyer may well be in their 30s, but they can still do it if need be

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith has done totally nothing at my home team MK Dons, other than score one goal last week.

We need serious players who will play 90 minutes, all through the season and stand up to be counted.

Becchio would still be useful to have around, but only as a sub....

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get david tempelton from hearts wont let him go. Alan smith is rubbish now we need quality not experience

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres guys on here who would fill our team with past it players like Smith and Bowyer, its pathetic, need quality not has beens.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bad but get rid of kisnorbo and probs webber, would love to see mccarthy brought in for lonergan and lonergan on bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith and bowyer in cm we'd be over run, they r past it, quality in their day especially Bowyer but not 10 years on. Clayton is the right sort of player, bring in someone a little more experienced like Clingan an Clayton will only get better, plus he wants to commit himself, it's players like him we need for the future

Agree0 Disagree0

So u would put possibly are best player this season adam clayton on the bench and replace him with bowyer ( realeased from ipswich for a reason) and smith who is average but about 100 ......

Agree0 Disagree0

That midfield is toooo slow and old put clayton ( a midfield dynamo) and clingan (a midfield hardman) in to put a youthful but quick force

Agree0 Disagree0

Beckford want to go to leeds think not dint he once have a chance to stay and sign a new contract and opted not to?

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio may not be fit this season but lets remember he has finished with a decent total of goals but started the season out injured and played second fiddle to Ross for a big part of the season. I personally dont remember him missing many chances this season that he should have scored, bet you were a massive Gradel fan and thought he was a great striker yet he was a midfielder who missed far more chances the Becchio ever will. Becchio plays for the team and if given a decent cross gets on the end of it. Maybe him being run into the ground after 60 minutes is because he has to fight for scraps all the time with no striker in and around him. The number of flicks he gets and Snoddy or Ross are 30 yards away is unbelievable. He is proven at this level and the only way we should let him go is if we have a better player coming in. He is also a very humble nice person unlike Diouf which would be a step in the wrong direction

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck replacing a 20 goal a (full) season striker because you think he's "not fit enough". Some people...

Leeds to sign paddy kenny and diouf and hopefully matt mills

Believable15 Unbelievable28

After watching Kenny and Derry play today, we need better players than these?

Yes they are better, maybe than what we havem but we need serious quality if we are going to get automatic promotion next year.....

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont want kenny as he not that good but think we will sign him

Think snoddy will leave if someone offers 6 mill get butterfield hammill wellens and mcleary with money

Believable14 Unbelievable24

Why do you have no faith in Snoddy? Give the guy his break, if he walks it will be down to the lack of faith, rather than the lack of money....

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see us getting anywhere near 6 mil for him, he's not worth it. hes a good player for us but lets face it, he's standing out from a bad bunch of players. i personally think he's under performed this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Also jacob butterfield has pre agreed t join newcastle in the summer my mate who i ply ftball with knows him well hes from bradford you see

Agree0 Disagree0

You wont get 6mill for a guy in the last year of his contract me thinks. Snoddy is a great player the stats speak for themselves though and I would rather him stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy is well worth 6 mil and will probably go for 8 mil in the summer to Norwich . it all depends how much money bates invests in the club to be honest . if he invests 5 mil then keep snoddy and use the money to build around him if bates decides warnock should sell to buy then sell snoddy and use that money to bring insom young players that have some quality that are better than what we have but we will need to bring in a new flair player if we are to sell him

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2012 18:39:20
Warnock go out and buy Matt Jarvis please? Would absolutely tear up in this league him and Snoddy on the wings would scare the hell out of full backs!

Believable37 Unbelievable17

This is the most sensible comment i have seen today i agree 100% Gj

Agree0 Disagree0

Jarvis!? Dream on! If this is a sensible comment, then so is the suggestion that Leeds should sign mata, or possibly van der vaart... They'd 'tear up the division' too!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol yeah lets flex our muscles in the transfer market and outbid liverpool for the 10m rated man. Joke of the day right here.

Agree0 Disagree0

As if we would sign Jarvis... another unrealistic Leeds fan (coming form a season ticket holder)

Matt mills will be joing Leeds, he is out of favour at Leicester after a fall out with Nigel Pearson, mills who was linked with a loan move in January, is wanting out of Leicester and Leicester.

2012/13 season possible team (on rumours)
GK: Lonergan/Kenny

DEF: Robinson (LB) Pearce (CB) Bamba (CB) Lees (RB)

MID: Gradel (LW) Green (CM) clayton (CM) Rogers (RW)

ST: Diouf/McCormack, Becchio

Possibly: Dj Campbell up front but unlikely
Sammy Clingan (CM)
Halford (DEF)
Money will be generated from sales of white and snoddy. I know some of the positions i've put may be wrong but its just a guess. MOT

Believable5 Unbelievable32

White is a freebie now we will only get compo for him which will be last then 500k

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are going for ex-players, how about:

Robinson
Richardson
Harte
Woodgate
Ferdinand
Bowyer
Smith
Howson
Johnson
Healy
Keane

Agree0 Disagree0

White compensation would be £1.5m. Robinson isn't being signed, Lees will be used as a CB not RB. Gradel isn't coming back.

Given most of those players are out of contract why do we need money from Snoddy & White? The overall squad is being reduced for the coming season so there will be savings on the current salary budget to offset

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2012 17:34:38
sad news for us leeds fans snodgrass has turned down the contract offer leds give to him so he can join norwich and join up with jonny howson and bradley johnson. seems like we're norwich's feeder club as all our best players go to them or they hav first option on wether or not they sign them

Believable14 Unbelievable29

Shut up,nothing has been said about it yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

"best" players ha johnson was poor and has been found out in the prem. jonny was a blow snod however can go to slow to be a winger and never looks up when dribbling and gives the ball away to much not good enough for the prem against decent defenders

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip and go troll your own small club page you joker canary

Agree0 Disagree0

If he does turn a new contract down Warnock has already said he might sell Snoddy after xmas depending on how things are going but not before

Agree0 Disagree0

Show us this 'proof' then that you obviously know about but nobody else seems to have heard/seen/believe?

Another idiot...

Agree0 Disagree0

Do Norwich just want to be Leeds?? Looks that way! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2012 17:22:26
IMO Lonnergan is a decent guy but he's not a keeper that the players have confidence in dare I day it like Schmiechel yesterday who controlled his area. Plus and this is something that drives me nuts every game this season I've seen him play.......he dent release the ball quick enough, he actually waits til the loosing players are ready and almost all back in their own half, and then he punts the ball long and everyone knows where it's going usually on an opposing players head or in to touch.......sorry Lonners but it's true. Watch any good keeper they boss their area and release quickly to start a meaningful attack. The clear our needs all defenders including keeper to be changed start at the back work the way forward.

Believable20 Unbelievable13

The fact that our defence has been garbage all season he has every right to hit it long, there's no way he could play a short ball to our back 4 .

Agree0 Disagree0

The other problem with your observation is that the defence + midfield are v v slow to get into a decent position. There has been no urgency to the way Leeds have played latter part of season. Unfair to blame Lonnergan for that. Keep him, he's a good keeper. The problem with his opposite number on saturday (KS) is that he's; too short, blames everyone but himself, he's not his dad ( thinks he is tho) and he's disruptive in the dressing room. Good riddance to son of imo

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like to agree with the original poster but have no idea what exactly he is saying as he seems illiterate !

Agree0 Disagree0

The waiting and then the long ball is surely only the tactic he has been told to play. what do you think the manager and coaches do?

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the same schmeikel that was so inconsistant at Leeds, or have you only been around one season?

Agree0 Disagree0

When did Schmiechel command his area? In the first 10 mins we put 3 crossing in the air along the 6 yard line and he stayed home , that was his problem here. When he first came he marshalled his back line but for some reason stopped. I think him and Lonergan are actually very similar. The keeper can only play the ball as quick as he is allowed by his team mates. The supporters have the obsession of getting the ball forward quick yet we dont have that sort of player anymore and need to be more patient. Snoddy is the winger and cant beat anyone for pace so has to rely on being tricky so we need to build an attack. Stick with Lonergan , not sure about another keeper as it sounded like NW was going to use Bromby as his cover but he is out now. Keepers dont command areas anymore thats a thing of the past even in the prem. Could see Robbo coming back after interviews ive seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact its being debated weather he is good enough or not says it all really. I totally agree with the op. You want a keeper who commands his area not one who is stuck under his crossbar flappin at crosses. Lonners is an outstanding shot stopper but there is more to the game than that.

If blackburn get relegated, paul robinson to be persuaded to guide his boyhood club back to where it belongs, you heard it here first, this is only if the get relegated

Believable30 Unbelievable28

He's going to Hull then. That was the team he supported as a boy. lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Robinson was born in Beverley near Hull. As a youngster He played for Hull schoolboys. He says he supported the Tigers as a kid but whether he still has any affinity to the club remains to be seen

Agree0 Disagree0

He played for hull boys sunday team not hull city youth, he actually came through york city youth team before a trial at leeds united and then was part of the youth system. then first team. and when leeds went down he burst into tears. leeds fan through and through

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares about Paul Robinson's life story? he's not going to sign. End of.

everyone needs to stop with the the beckford and gradel ''rumours'' they wre not coming back, look for the future not the past

Believable30 Unbelievable14

These guys have moved on to further their careers, we don't need them back, they have no idea about loyalty whatsoever (not that I blame them with Bates in charge but he's still here.....)

Agree0 Disagree0

These are only a select few past players Id have back. they still ahve plenty to offer and is a step forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Apr 2012 17:04:16
Let's put it this way, why would Warnock be interested in Diouf if Warnock wants pace on the wings? To me he doesn't have much pace and he's past it.

Believable19 Unbelievable11

Didn't NW call Diouf scum of the earth ? Why would he be interested in him ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf has bags of pace. I dont think we should sign him because saunders said he was hard to manage off the pitch and thats the last thing u need if your tryin to build a team. Nothing to do we pace though. Watch football much then.

Kevin Volland (season loan - german papers)
Paddy Kenny (Possible, will be dropped by QPR even if they are relegated)
Shaun Derry (possible, wont be part of QPR's future plans)
Sol Bamba (maybe)

I think more will be coming next week. MOT

Believable23 Unbelievable10

just watched chelsea v qpr,i really hope warnock signs players from other teams! the likes of kenny, derry and ferdinand all looked nothing better than what we have at the club at the moment? c'mon neil, prove us all wrong and get the RIGHT players in.

Believable19 Unbelievable3

That lot wouldnt be fit for league one. Paddy Kenny Clint Hill Derry etc all looked v poor. I hope we sign better players than that lot.

Totally agree with all the above, no wonder QPR are struggling. Two chelski goals totally offside, what the h**k are the officials watching??

29 Apr 2012 15:29:13
Unable to share with you the source, but it is on good authority that Leeds will be signing qpr striker Dj Campbell during the summer, a fee has been agreed for the player, just contract talks to be agreed, which should start open talks once the season has finished.

Sorry to be unable to provide the source, but this is looking likely

Believable20 Unbelievable7

Will be signing or looking likely, make your mind up

Just watched Derry against Chelsea, he as been awful, slower then Brown I really hope we don't re-sign him, must be better on NW lists! Hill and Kenny not much better!

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Totally agree with this statement, there are better players out there who dont play for QPR!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think Hill could do the job for us in the champ, was he ever going to be able to keep up with Torres and co having the best week of his career!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but mate they were playing against a fifty million pound striker world cup winner european champion, and Michael Essien kne of the best midfield players on the planet add to that matta and mr lampard. So going to look poor. Not quite the beckfords, maynards, sharps, of this world, so can't really judge

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes horrific totally agree much better younger players out there!!

29 Apr 2012 15:01:36
Following Robinson's early departure and NW post Leicester Interview "I thanked him and didn't think he was worth risking after the Bromby thing if i wasn't going to take him on next season." I doubt he'll be offered a contract.

Looks like we are in store for a whole new back 4. I know lees is said to be in his plans but i think we all know he wont have the same involvement this season but will provide quality cover. There is an excitment about this summer which wasn't there past seasons! can't wait! MOT

Believable17 Unbelievable7

How can you say that about Lee's?? If you had read/heard the way Warnock talks about him you would see that he is going to play a huge part in the team for years to come!

Am I the only person who doesn't really rate Lonergan? Think we could get Paddy Kenny

Believable25 Unbelievable12

Should never of let kasper go it annoys me and evan worse he wanted to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy kenny is playing with butter on his gloves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip man, kasper was no better than lonergan

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy Kenny as no loyalty, walked out on Blunts after they stuck by him through his ban.Kasper will only get better and we could live to regret that decision.Lonners along with a decent defence will see us move forward and upwards.MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

He does need competition, however i'm watching the Chelsea game now and pundits are stating nearly every goal should have be dealt with better. Kenny is have a mare...maybe its just a one off!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't rate Lonergan. I think he looks like he has paper hands, shots go through him.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need another goalkeeper, how about going back in for mccartney at reading(was quality when he played for us on loan)?

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we even know that he wanted to stay? I would not be surprised if he just said that to keep the fans onside. If he really wanted to stay he would have stayed. Just because the club accepted the offer for him, that didn't mean that he had to sign a contract with them.
Schmeichel is just a mercenary. He has no loyalties.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't understand why everyone thinks paddy kenny is gunna be a great signing, he's an average keeper that's past his best and is no better than lonergan

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont rate either of them. There are better keepers about.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Lonergan is a good keeper, he has kept leeds in most games this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

After todays showing I'd welcome back Gary Sprake....

Agree0 Disagree0

TBH a goalkeeper is not a priority for us, if we get a decent back 4 in front of him. defence has let him down.

I think realisticly our team could look like this

lonergan

halford. Pearce. Lees. Lb

Snoddy clayton brown White

Volland. Becchio

Believable2 Unbelievable23

Clayton not good enough, brown definatalty not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Why brown? He is absolute awful, granted he battles and grafts but his pace and what he does on the ball is just not good enough!

Agree0 Disagree0

Id rather have Smithy than Brown,ANY day of the week. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

White is going to prem, newcastle are interested, cant blame him

Agree0 Disagree0

Great except for brown. clayton needs a good cm to partner and he would flourish.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think realistically youve been playing to much FM12

Agree0 Disagree0

White is only gonna be a bench warmer in the premiership. not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton not good enough? hes probably been the best player all season playing in cm pretty much by himself seen as tho howson was playing awful before he left and then the other players hes been in there with arent good enough. your an idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

Clayton not got enough?I think you need to give your head a shake fella,i dont know which club youve been watching all season(if any)but it cant have been Leeds United.so go spread your infinate football knowledge elsewhere. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Its White, Lees and Clayton, have done well to break in to the team but that shows how poor we are. Good experience for them but are they first team promotion contenders? its funny how white is the one with all the prem buzz about him but he is the weakest in my opinion, his strength is pace and taking on players but with lack of final ball he isnt the finished article. They need more time but we want results now, Id give Clayton a good run as i think he would do well with a stronger midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tthanks for that input mot.
missed one game all season home and away. i will say it again doesnt perform for the whole game drifts in and out to much not commanding enough. not good enough to get us promoted
ps . u been this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Lonergan probably will keep his place between the sticks although i would imagine another GK will be signed to create competition; lees will play RB; pearce looks almost certain to sign so he will partner another CB signing (matt mills or sol bamba have been rumoured); Robbo may be signed at LB we'll have to see what the gaffer had in mind but its a possibility; would imagine clayton would partner green (if he signs) in cm; snoddy, mccormack and diouf (possibly) as wingers/AM's feeding off of a lone striker in becchio....other signings will be made to ease fatigue and to give us other tatical options....brown probably will be given an extension as back up, white probably wont resign but i personally dont think he's good enough (too clumbsy in DEF and no final ball in ATT)...have no idea who volland is but if your saying he will be a loan signing its never going to happen as NW said NO LOAN SIGNINGS!!

Heard some news from some1 who works at Elland Road that Leeds are trying to tie up contracts for Sammy Clingan, Alan Smith & El Hadi Diouf. Also heard they're strongly linked to another Coventry City player other than Clingan believed to be a striker.

Believable6 Unbelievable22

Whos this person you have heard from?? I work at elland road and all we have heard about so far is jason pearce coming in

Agree0 Disagree0

He wont sign alan smith coz smith has said he might be retiring at end of season

Agree0 Disagree0

No,he wont sign Alan Smith because hes s-ite,hes gonna retire cos he knows hes past it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more. S**tty league 1 player. Not wanted at ER.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was actually someone who works with the TV & Sky coverage who claims he got these from a reliable source if there is such a thing! He reckons Clint Hill's rumoured to be on his way to Elland Road with Jason Pearce too. :D We need Snodders McCormack & Becchio to stay with us 4 the push next seasn too!

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith said it was an option to retire as Pardew said if he went back to NUFC it would be in an academy coach position so it had crossed his mind to retire but there was a lot to consider, it's been quoted out of context. Anyone who has been to MK Plastics games will tell you he wants to carry on if he is able to and it was merely a point for consideration. Just saying. As for the Leeds stuff I highly doubt that but Warnock was interested in the past..doesn't mean now though, so don't shoot me LOL.

Agree0 Disagree0

ALAN SMITH IS NOT COMING BACK!! He is past it, he cant even make a big impact at a league one club, he'll retire!

Agree0 Disagree0

Retiring cos no1 wants him more like and hes saving face

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy Clingan already held talks with Warnock,
everything in place expect signing to be announced along with Jason pearce and another unnamed player early next week.

Believable5 Unbelievable12

Why do we want to sign players who have just been relegated with there clubs who have developed a losing mentality.(i.e pearce of pompey and clingen of cov and that person djouf from donny.

The previous clubs are almost irrelevant. if they are the right player, then it will work. what you're looking to buy is the right skillset and personality to complement the squad.

if their previous club has been relegated that doesn't mean they aren't good, it just means that that particular squad setup didn't work. it is perfectly possible that all of those players at portsmouth could go to different clubs and be fantastic due to the systems in place that are different to the one used by pompey.

Maybe cos they are better than the carp we have

Yeah your right why sign players from a team who are facing relegation... Kewell, Smith, Robinson, Milner, Bridges, ferdinand, keane, woodgate. losing mentality or what!

Some people on here think we can get any player for a decent price. For example, I saw one earlier about Kuszczak. He's plays for the Scum, can anyone really take into mind the wages that he's on. If a player has played for a top club and he's under 30, he's not coming simple as. REALISTIC TARGETS:
Bamba (don't think leicester would let him go)
Pearce (virtually done)
Halford
Green (looks like ips**t are in there)
Diouf (don't really like him but could do the job)
DJ Campbell/Bothroyd (don't think we'd get them under 2/3 million.

Gave a couple of lads a lift home from the awards evening. They had a chat with snoddy who told them warnock has signed 3 players already(and none of which are diouf apparently) and is hoping for another 5 or 6. Snoddy obviously being kept up to date in hope that he is impressed by the targets and will sign on.

If Snoddy leaves it must be to Prem' League, we'd get enough cash to buy back Beckford and have some left over. Can't see him wanting to play for foxes.

It hasnt been confirmed if u can read it says he is widley expected to join

Believable2 Unbelievable27

Yeah but southampton think theyre signing Doumbia, snodgrass, Hooper, Fabio, Ryo Miyachi and Theo Walcott
Teams with money like man city think they can sign whoever they please. I jump down anyones throats if they do that. It's so annoying

Bates has refused beckford twice this season, why would he accept now? if snodgrass goes it will be for prem football
