Just got back from holiday today and met the hunt brother Noel and Stephen and Andy Griffen ex newcastle on holiday with there fathers while they were there last week Noel was on the phone to his agent was having medical today or tomorrow 100% true landed at LBA at 13. 30 went straight to bookies

Batley White

Believable28 Unbelievable40

That would breach FA Rule E8 so I seriously doubt that it is true, otherwise Hunt would be in the same creek as Andros Townsend

Agree0 Disagree0

Which resort were you at?

Agree0 Disagree0

The hunt brothers went striaght to the bookies instead of thorp arch that's odd!

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't need Hunt - just another released player and clearly not hungry enough! would be just another rubbish player for Leeds - that said he would clearly fit in. Come on McDermott, get the sun shining at ER with some quality siginings!

Agree0 Disagree0

To the third poster - use common sense, obviously he meant he went staright to the bookies.

Agree0 Disagree1

Can't see these footballers going to Benidorm and that's the only flight that remotely tallies at that time from Alicante! Nice try! {Ed013's Note - I am pretty sure they went on a stag do there}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they did Ed, Ian Harte went on it too I believe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy Kenny was in Magaluf 2 weeks ago. Some friends saw him & got him to ring 1 of the lads. Talked about last season & why he goes to Magaluf on his money. lol

Agree0 Disagree1

The flight was a monarch flight from Palma Majorca and the resort was cala egos next to cala D'or and every 2nd night they went to magaluf. Look they is no reason for me lie just wanted to inform my fellow Leeds fans I was surprised too but spent most of my time watching them play volley ball with there feet amazing to watch for free with a beer

Batley White

Agree0 Disagree0

Humm another pair of hunts at elland road? {Ed013's Note - Like it!}

Johnny Russell looks to be moving away from Dundee, thoughts!

Believable38 Unbelievable16

Would be a great signing imo

Agree1 Disagree0

Good choice. Dundee is a hole.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a great catch. !

Agree0 Disagree0

Difficult one looks ok in a poor side in a poor division, premier league is on par at best with bottom half of div 1exception of course would celtic top half championship side if you think this is harsh think of Motherwell side managed by McCall whos has got lots of plaudits in Scotland but who didn't do anything at Bradford who probably had a bigger budget then Motherwell we would be better steering clear the same goes with Humphreys who where linked with although Micheal Higdon looks like a class player up here

Agree0 Disagree0

Who rated snoddy before he came to Leeds. There are players out there who can step up and mcd is probably the man to unearth them

Agree0 Disagree0

If we had had that attitude over the years we would have missed out on some great players, Snoddy, Arther Graham, Joe Jordon, Gordon Mcqueen, Eddy Gray, Peter Lorimer, Billy Bremner, David Havy ect ect ect.
Some players can and do move up levels, otherwise where do they come from? not every good player starts off at a Prem Club as a youngster.

Derby supporters seem to think he's signing for them! Not seen anything in the local rag (i live in derby)!so make of it what you will.

Agree0 Disagree0

According to the latest news in a Scottish National Celtic are bidding for him and Derby had their latest bid turned down

KTJ -Abu Dhabi

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Gary Mackay-Steven would be a better signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I say go in with a bid of £2m for Russell and Mackay-Steven see what they say, though Mackay-Steven is worth £1.5m alone probably!

He's been my favourite signing on fifa for the last 3 years. on that basis, SIGN HIM UP

Agree0 Disagree0

looks like leeds will announce the signing of chris humphrey after he confirmed his desire to play for leeds in an article for motherwell's website. also heavily linked with Inverness striker Billy McKay

Believable54 Unbelievable21

I can't see anything on Motherwells website about Humphrey

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been offered an extended contract by Motherwell. So there could be some substance to this rumour but the site wouldn't publish his desire to leave now would they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant find owt on motherwell site

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Humphrey looks like he is off to rangers, not good enough for us if we want to progress anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have a transfer embargo until September so if he wants to miss first month of season he won't be going there

Agree0 Disagree0

Newco are daft enough to pay at least 3 times what motherwell will offer and they wonder why they lost 7 million last year, when average wage in division 3 is £75 a week

Agree0 Disagree0

If Robert Snodgrass was good enough when he signed from Livingston, and he was / is then who in their right mind would refuse Chris Humphrey an opportunity. the guy is also a Jamaican international and, who knows, could be good for Rodolph Austin

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers can still sign players on a case-by-case basis, during a transfer embargo.
Ultimately, just a lot more paperwork but an embargo doesn't mean they can't sign, just that each potential signing must be justified to SFA

Ben Wilson deal hit a snag wages are the problem uddersfield sniffing around the siuation

Believable5 Unbelievable30

Ben Wilson deal was never a deal in the first place Leeds are not interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't understand. This guy must be some relative of wilsons who supports leeds he's been trying this for a year saying we will sign him we wont

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he want to leave the premier league to come to us especially with Mignolet looking like going to Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't Ben Wilson just been released by Sunderland so I don't think it matters if Mignolet stays or not

Agree0 Disagree0

After being seen meeting up with BM, Titus Bramble has agreed a three year deal with Leeds United and it will be announced on 1st June. FACT. MOT. {Ed013's Note - As soon as you put FACT nobody believes it}

Believable11 Unbelievable74

But this is a FACT. {Ed013's Note - OK mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no! Why would we need an own goal specialist?

Agree0 Disagree0

I sincerely hope not. he is not any better than what we already have and too much baggage. I would take a punt on Kilgallon tho, i'm sure he could do something at this level.

Agree3 Disagree0

What are the first four letters of the word 'factotum? FACT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear god no not Bramble

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 14:38:28
Trouble maker we don't need his type

Agree0 Disagree0

Bramble's nothing but a joke and this is nothing but a wind-up. If we signed Bramble I would seriously question BMcD's sanity and I believe he's the best thing to happen to LUFC for many years

Agree1 Disagree0

28 May 2013 16:12:13
No thanks he's been crap since leaving the tractor boys!Total liability!League 2 player at best, and that was 5 -6 years ago!non league in my opinion!

Agree0 Disagree0

BMcD was formerly a scout, he's not going to make silly signings on players who are absolutely kack and lucky to be a professional footballer! - I'm sure people just sit there watching tv and every player announced as being released or can leave for free or surplus to requirements they come on here and spout out BS saying they are in talks, been linked or signed for Leeds!

Agree0 Disagree0

Working in City of London and am pretty sure I just about caught the sound of 60,000 Wearsiders cheering when the news that Bramble had been released, got published, today. I agree, he's truly dreadful and I can't think of a single player who consistently makes as many mistakes. Watch him sign for the mighty Leeds and we cries of agony will be equally audible.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 19:21:42
Please be untrue

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you not heard that Warnock's resigned? Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope not, he's a clusmy oath and we've had our fair share of poor centre backs over the years

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds looking at signing Villa's Mark Albrighton and Barry Bannan according to my mate who's close to the Villa camp

Believable27 Unbelievable44

If true (seriously doubt it is) and we sign them they will be superb additions

Agree0 Disagree0

Mark Albrighton was tipped for England a few years back. Not seen much of him since. Hope this rumour is true as these are the type of players Leeds need to recruit if we are to move forward.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely no chance we'll sign Albrighton, he's amazing!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 15:06:57
Bannon was carp when on loan {Ed013's Note - Didn't really get a chance}

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely no chance, where does this come from
would be great if true but not in a million years

Agree0 Disagree0

There's every chance, Bannan is going to be allowed to leave and has played here before. Albrighton needs a move to reignite his career as it hasn't happened for him under Lambert

Agree0 Disagree0

If true surely both would enhance the squad, not quite marque signings though

Agree0 Disagree0

Albrighton would be an impressive signing. Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

Small possibility that this might have legs, Albrighton's contract runs out next year & he hasn't featured much under Lambert (although he has been injured). I still think he'd cost £1-2m but if we got him, what a signing!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 09:58:24
Matt Kilgallon released by Sunderland, surely worth looking at bringing him in

Believable47 Unbelievable24

Why?. He has failed to get into a 'shockingly poor' Sunderland team. there seems to be an unexplained desire to have back what we have let go and who isn't wanted by the club they are with.

Agree0 Disagree0

No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was pants before and he still is, let him rot in the lower leagues.

Agree0 Disagree0

This guy has a bad attitude which is exactly the type of thing MCD doesn't want. We won't be signing him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he any better than Tom Lees or Jason Pearce? In my opinion, no he is not. and he's older, maybe one for Mr Warnock.

Agree0 Disagree0

I saw him getting his eyebrows plucked on a stall in shopping centre in Harrogate 6 months ago. I'd rather not. We have too many prima donnas as it is at Elland Road

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? here we go again persons wanting to bring back hasbeens and neverwheres!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not needed - being released by a very poor Sunderland team - cope on! We need quality!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was a very promising player, and looked to have a bright future -but that was 7-8 years ago, and he seems to have lost his way badly. Probably not the right move for us now, with Lees doing so well, and Pearce having a point to prove (and both being a lot younger). Chapel A

Cardiff transfer rumour going around saying mason will join Leeds on loan for the season

Believable34 Unbelievable21

28 May 2013 16:14:06
Hope that's true, bcus he's not a bad player!Has a good all round game!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he would be appreciated by Leeds fans. Certainly more than Mr. Bramble would be.

heard from somebody in the know Brian Mac may look to bring in Shay Given as a replacement for Paddy Kenny, also looking at Richard Dunne & Madden from Yeovil

Believable23 Unbelievable28

Unless Shay Given is going to reduce his wages by about 90% then I doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Given is now a very poor goalkeeper, hence he should retire.

Agree0 Disagree0

For someone in the know he knows sweet FA mate

Heard rumours that we are sniffing round the championship relegated clubs looking for players. This doesn't sound too good for our chances if this is the case. I'm getting this horrible sinking feeling that the money isn't there again like with KB. Please could GFH come out with a statement letting us know where we are with money so at least we know one way or the other.

Believable21 Unbelievable20

Why on earth would they do that! Oh yes I just wanted to let the fans know bmd has 20 mil pound to spend, then what happens? A million pound player 8vernight turns into 3 or 4! Yes I know its hard for fans to take but be patient with them, they even make any signings yet anyway so there's no massive rush just yet! Look on the positive side, they have been going about things lately (getting BMC in, reducing ticket prices etc) that sound to me that they ARE trying to do things right/better than before! I to am worried but just give them a chance

Agree1 Disagree0

Agree with the above post. Do we really want to be paying inflated prices for players if other clubs think we have money? I'm happy to wait and see who we sign and how we play next year. Knowing how much money we have won't change anything.

Matt

Agree0 Disagree0

The relegated clubs have some high calibre players for championship level that won't necessarily be cheap I wouldn't be complaining if we got someone like sako, adomah, gayle etc

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the first two replies that we shouldn't disclose how much funds we have but at least a statement saying we do have some spending power would be nice. Players also listen to the rumours that go round and they are less likely to speak to us if they think that we have limited funds. We are being linked with the same old faces again and apart from the odd way off rumour there is a lot of talk about all the free transfer signings we are getting which is leading me (and others) to think we are short of cash again. Hopefully I will be proved wrong and in the coming months we will get a few decent signings in but a short statement from the owners would do wonders to calm the nerves.

Rumoured that Joe Mason of Cardiff City could be joining us on a season long loan from Cardiff City.

Believable18 Unbelievable27

Another loanee, but a good player imo. Why not?

Agree2 Disagree0

HE may be a wanted man, but Joe Mason is going nowhere, insists Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay

Agree0 Disagree0

Reece wabara joining Leeds on loan for season, his position right back, where does that leave Sam byram going in other direction probably.

Believable11 Unbelievable37

Sam on the right wing maybe?

Agree1 Disagree0

What it means for Sam Byram is that we are getting some cover for his position but also a player that can push him a little bit to spur him on to greater things. After playing the majority of games last season he could get complacent and think his place in the team is guaranteed so his form will drop. Having someone to challenge him will make sure that doesn't happen

Agree1 Disagree0

Food for thought there

Agree0 Disagree1

Seriously why are people getting so negative over the fact we are looking at RB's? Last time I checked we released one during the clear out so its only natural we would want to bring in cover. Add to that the fact that Byram is naturally a right mid (he moved to RB as he was offered a chance there when not getting games in the youth setup) and that we are also looking at CB's it would suggest maybe Peltier is the man in trouble of losing his place.
Also as gutting as it would be to lose one of the best young players in the division if we did get the £8m being suggested and that got put back into the playing team along with any other investments, that could easily send us up if spent wisely.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 May 2013 16:15:43
Yep, Forward to right mid!!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 May 2013 16:10:52
Byram could move to the right wing, he's got the technical ability.

my mate itk told me that carlton cole is definite. will come through as soon as transfer window opens. mot.

Believable8 Unbelievable42

Loan or buy?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's out of contract

Agree0 Disagree0

About as good as Ricketts and Showumni. Just

Agree0 Disagree0

On his day, he's pretty useful, even now.
Trouble is, his day is a singular event each season.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2013 18:30:12
Heard that we could be getting Gael Kakuta on a season long loan!

Believable7 Unbelievable32

Now that would be decent.
