One of the things im worry about if we don't sign a LB then in our next match, we won't have White so O'Dea will play there and OB will play CB thats when we will get hammered this problem needs to be looked at.

No we're not and we haven't been for years. Our recent years income has come from League 1 and the Championship. I agree we need investment but people need to realise our level. It's all very well dreaming of the Prem but WE ARE NOT a Prem team right now.

Laughable if you think Le Fondre is better than what we have. McCormack is top quality for this level. LF is a fourth division striker (Anthony Elding memories). Think he's jumped too far too soon and should have gone to one of the Sheffield clubs a league lower. Baldock is a decent gamble by WHU.
Whats the fuss about a good L2 player.... come on we already have Becchio Somma, Nunez Gradel, really would have been a waste of money.

May i suggest that apart from the Southampton game Leeds have been the best team on the park. We have a good squad and with a couple of additions before the deadline a very good squad. Our luck will change (bloody refs) as long as the team and supporters keep the confidence levels up. I have faith

Apart from Southampton all our downfalls have been to shocking refs. Watched ipswich highlights unbelievable that aidy got sent off he fell over well was pushed. (is SG planning on appealing the decision ED? )

cant believe how many people are slagging off simon after this game i really dont think that he deserves this. Made a couple bad decisions obrien for mccormack but give him some money to actually prove whether or not he has the skill to take us back up the rumoured signing of stephen kelly is huge step in right direction
If the ref had seen the push on Aidy before he brought the guy down we would not be having this conversation
Its not just one game though is it and the defenders he has signed over the last two years have been terrible.

But he played for arsenal today in their humilation at man u - and unless Wenger buys 2 more midfield players by wed i cant see him leaving highbury - unless a Loan to Jan maybe to free up half his wage for incomings ?

It may sound like a good defence to you as you know nothing about football. I am a republic fan too and I was gutted when we signed O Dea especially when he played at left back. SG seems to be clueless when it comes to defenders. And why give Paddy a new contract he is past it.

If we sell Max next week all the money will probably go into next phase of the "Leeds Village". Grayson lost us the game yesterday. When White was sent off he should have put Nunez on and flooded midfield. Instead he took a forward off and brought a defender on which basically invites the opposition to attack. Ipswich then took a defender off and brought Bullard on knowing we were sitting back. The other thing when have we ever got a good decision when Durso has refd.
Totally agree. SG's Assistant needs to shoulder some blame too. Flooding the midfield when you go a man down but are 1-0 up is Football Tactics 101. I don't think Grayson can afford to lose his next league game.

When you are trying to protect a 1-0 lead with 10men. You either bring on a defender or a defensive holding style midfielder. A striker will always be taken off to do this. Hence the reason Ross came off, as he cant do the big man up front holding up play type of game which Keogh can. Bring Nunez in would be adding more attacking flair to the midfield. He would be going forward, attacking and defeating the purpose of flooding the midfield to keep Ipswich at bay. Tactically Grayson did the right thing. We were just unlucky to conceede in the last minute as we did.

Whilst I dont think flooding the midfield would have been the best idea, I cannot fathom why SG did not make changes before the 91st minute. I can understand swapping an attacker for a defender, but when it's AO'B we know we are going to concede.
So my point is why didn't SG bring on Nunez for Keogh in about the 65th minute, Nunez would run all day and as has proven has an ability to score from range which to be fair were the most frequent of chances we were going to get.
Also would have swapped Thompson for snoddy at the same time, just to strengthen/freshen the midfield, sticking howson on the right and making gradel the target winger. that way we could have still had an outside chance of scoring/preventing being continually overrun which is what happened

I know he's not a true ex Leeds player with him only being a loan star but I would like to suggest Doug Freeman as replacement for Larry and Owen Hargreaves on a pay as you play basis to boss the midfield still need new defence but I don't know who's up for grabs.
No Gus is the man but I dont think he would leave Brighton for Leeds. As for Hargreaves I am sure there are probably 20 or 30 other clubs who would give him a better offer than us.
Grayson is the man. hes put a decent spine together with peanuts money to spend. taken a while, but hes seen who isnt good enough and hes bringing through some youngsters with hunger to play for the shirt which is what leeds is about. poyet is a class manager, but giving grayson the money that hes had to spend i would argue larry would do just as well.

Irony is selling Kasper and replacing him with Andy was our best bit of business of the summer but the other additions have been awful.
