MICK JONES due to take year out as assistant to Neil Warnock due to medical reasons. A statement was given out my medics at LGI earlier today stating that Mick was in no fit state to be in the world of football. Mick is due to be back available at the start of 2013/2014 season and Sources state that Aidan Emmerson the current First team coach of Brentford is set to link up with Warnock from there time at Sheffield United

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Yes as if they would just announce it to hospital staff lmfao patient dr confidentiality numtys jeeze wont anyone do research on the bs stories

Agree0 Disagree0

Your medics will be struck off for telling you that info, plus you are liable for spreading the word!

Hope you have a good solicitor

Contrary to reports, Snodgrass set to sign new contract within the coming weeks as he believes in Warnock. MOT

Believable18 Unbelievable18

I'm sorry but Snoddy is NOT signing any contract with Leeds United, until the promises made to him actually occur.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the above, and more power to him. The guy obviously wants to stay here and play for LUFC but he has become jaded by the lack of ambition he sees. In the end he has to look out for himself, and who can blame him? Many players of his standard would have walked long ago, but Snoddy is showing loyalty, albeit stretched almost to breaking point at the moment. He wants this club in the Premiership and he wants to be here with us when it happens, but if it looks doubtful he is not going to waste more of his short playing career at a club that is going nowhere. Thanks to Snoddy for giving us at least this time, and I hope his waiting game works for us and for him. Bates - Get your arse in gear!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but his father in law has just told me, he is norwich bound, this is not a rumour...this is a fact, dont care if no one believes it, you'll all find out very soon anyway, and you'll be gutted just like me now...

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is common knowledge that Snoddy is waiting to see who we sign before making any decision which is fair enough. he'll start pre season with us as he will be with us til christmas if he doesnt sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree he is Norwich bound at the moment but expect a bidding war if Leeds accept any bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find that Snoddy is not married, ergo not got a father-in-law.

Neil Warnock set to resign as Leeds Manager Monday Morning after disagreement with bates on potential transfer targets as Bates send Warnock on a 2 week holiday to clear the tension. Could warnock be gone already?

Believable18 Unbelievable28

What are you on about , it is common knowledge that Warnock was going on holiday,Bates has not sent him on gardening leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think so mate, Warnock and bates already agreed what targets are achievable and are both realistic on the transfer budet

Agree0 Disagree0

He's been going on about this holiday since the end of the season. Way before all the Ward stuff. So dont misread him being away as anything other than what it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he wait till Monday, and warlock said he was going on holiday weeks ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Colin announced his holiday weeks ago you pleb
south Leeds white

Agree0 Disagree0

How could we know without some source of evidence, for all we know you have doubled up on your medication! so please enlighten us to your proof..sceptic

Agree0 Disagree0

Towards the end of the season warnock said he would be going on holiday on the 25th of may for 2 weeks so bates sent him nowhere pleaser research your gibberish nonsence

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously wish you bates haters would get a grip. Never going to happen no matter how much you hate bates and blame him for everything that's wrong with our club he isn't going anywhere!
Accept that fact and get behind the team they're the ones who need our support.

Agree0 Disagree0

NW had scheduled this holiday a while ago,cos he stated that he was going on holiday at the end of may before the season finished. Stop talking bs.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think warnock will of said to bates to get some of his targets in while hes on holiday and if not warnock will resign as manager . bates and warnock did agree but bates as since gone back on his word. warnock will resign before season starts and we will have some cheapo manager as his replacement for the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell would the fans want to get behind a chairman who has constantly lied to them for the past 7 years and spent therir hard earned money on everything but the playing side of things. Bates is laughing at us and yet some people still can't see us, this takeover better have some substance or it will be another season of no ambition!

Agree0 Disagree0

Could warnock be gone already? well you say he's going Monday morning so ask if he;s going? u havnt got a clue!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its monday afternoon now, has he gone? I think not utter BS

Agree0 Disagree0

Well its past monday morning so nice one pal, yet more lies really what is the point! MOT

How about Morrison from reading? Was awesome at huddersfield this season... Shouldn't be too expensive with him been a fringe player? What everyone reckon

Leeds are set to sign Bradford City midfielder Michael Flynn for undisclosed fee. I have found this out from a very reliable source which has never let me down. IMO this would be a terrible signing for leeds and would just be a signing him to try please fans. {Ed037's Note - I've seen him play before and he can't seem to handle League 2, why would we want him. Plus, he's actually un-attached atm}

Contrary to media speculation, Joel Ward has not agreed to join any club at the moment.
He would like to move to Leeds, but is still keen to stay near his family and friends in the south.

Believable15 Unbelievable14

Think he will still come -eventually! This is obviously where he wants to be -otherwise why hang on this long when lots of others interested?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do all leeds fans just assume that a player would like to go to your grubby club? You pay low wages, you have low attendances to say leeds is one of the biggest cities in england, and your chairman is as tight as a ducks arse. So no, i dont think he would want to go to leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's possibly waiting to see if the club get's bought?

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who suggests that Joel would not want to join Leeds, you are totally wrong.
He does want to join the club but he is unsure about moving up north away from family and friends.
You can be sure if he doesnt join Leeds, he will be as near to his folks as possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

We know not every player would want to join our club, however, it has been stated numerous times by Pearce, Ward's agent and Portsmouth Staff that Leeds was and is Wards first choice.

Snodgrass worth £8m I would take that and invest in at least 4 quality players. Anyone willing to pay that price for some not proven at the highest level must be mad.
M.L.L

Believable17 Unbelievable15

£8 million is a lot of money, but do you remember Delph, he went to Aston Villa for that amount of money and he hadn't even played championship football

Agree0 Disagree0

Also we have a buget at around 6-7mil and bates will not add the 8 mil to that#

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates has nothing in the bank, thats why he is creaming off all the talent. If you wasn't aware but bates is having money problems at the moment and not relating to elland road. Have a look on the l,u,s,t website and have a look at the finances of leeds. The baker holdings, really dodgy stuff. Thats why ive decided to join l,u,s,t. As this is the only way we are goin to make a difference.
Why would Bates fear them if they are nobodys. They seem to be the only ones that know what is goin on. I love my club and will do anything to see it become a success. Now stand up for are club and join the one true movement, L,U,S,T.

BATES OUT NOW!!

Snoddy on a 12mnth contract is not worth anywhere near 8m ur dreaming buddy lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy on a 12mnth contract is not worth anywhere near 8m ur dreaming buddy lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The amount we get for snoddy depends on how many clubs actually want him and who these clubs are . the more low prem clubs the better in my opinion . the top clubs wont bother until hes out of contract anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah u would take it and invest that 8 mill, but unfortunatly u dont own the club, which means bates will take 8 mill all day long and not invest a penny of it,well maybe a little on the casino

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot are so ungrateful bates has done loads for lufc. wish you LUST and by the way couldnt you come up with a better name then that? just go away and stop the bad blood. BATES IN!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Most we can expect for Snoddy is about £2M, should have taken £4.5M in Jan

head up to all, rob snodgrass was told who neil wants to sign. he was told names and the time of have long roughly each one would take that is why he said he make up his mind by the end of june. Neil thinks he can get all the players he wants in by them... ian heart was the reason Robinson was not signed at left back. Ward was on his way , Nothing to do with leeds having no money, C.P ofter more money over time, they give the £400,000 plus add ons. ive been told 7 players are what neil wanted, 3 of them he missed out on, i dont know the others name due to my friend working at leeds.

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Sorry if transfer feeb had been arranged its down to the player so nothing to do with add ons

Agree0 Disagree0

Load of bull, we are all being taken for a ride, Ive supported leeds 44 years and we are going down hill. Wake up and see it too!

Agree0 Disagree0

THE POST IS TRUE, I've also heard the rumour about snodgrass knowing who coming in, didnt know who the 3rd player leeds missed out on though, ward cant go to leeds if leeds get out bidded, which is what happened...

Agree0 Disagree0

So we have missed out on 3 players, obviously we cant either raise funds or attract the players.

Ian Harte, totaly agree with Ian Harte, not much point in going back to Leeds when he will play in PL every week.

Joel Ward, i still think he will end up at Leeds, papers said he was signing for Ipswich (wrong) then Palace ( not signed yet)- I think he just hasnt made up his mind

so thats 2 of the targets, who is the third one we have missed out on?

There is growing speculation that Leeds United are in the midst of takeover discussions.

The latest round of takeover rumours suggest things are progressing rapidly and that Leeds United’s failure to sign anyone since the arrival of Jason Pearce is due to a transfer embargo placed on Neil Warnock whilst takeover talks are ongoing.

It’s easy to be dismissive of such rumours (and indeed, I was) but Ken Bates’ recent radio silence does make you wonder?

An “I’ll believe it when I see it” reaction on Twitter drew quite a few responses, many of which – including The Square Ball – are convinced there’s something in this particular rumour.

I personally think there have always been people willing to buy Leeds United Football Club, but Ken Bates has been reluctant to sell. If that’s changed and he has put the club on the market, then I have no doubts whatsoever that LUFC would attract numerous interested parties.

The fact is, there is no other club in English football whose turnover can be increased by as much and as quickly as Leeds United’s. For an investor looking at dipping his toes into the potentially lucrative English football market, Leeds United looks like a solid bet – the club’s valuation would double if someone invested wisely and got us promoted to the Premier League.

What do you think? Is Ken Bates ready to sell Leeds United Football Club, or are our fans getting a little carried away again and believing what they want to believe?

Believable23 Unbelievable21

I hope TSS isnt as keen to go to court as the the glorious leader is....that is a straight lift from The Scratching Shed blog..how tacky and unoriginal

Agree0 Disagree0

Be nice if it were true - but still be disruptive though for pre season Im sure

this age of hourly news expectations is crazy - back in the 90s 80s 70s players and fans were not constantly awaiting daily updates on activity - you read about it days - weeks later - so just bcos there has been no news on some portsmouth lad signing dont mean 'jack' charlton ! Neil raised expectations with fans by stating he wanted them in early - Ken then said NO, be July due to wages and holidays - and depending on Clayton sales etc ! so read into that ....Ken is financier why pay wages over the summer when its an extra long pre season this year and you can save thousands of pounds by waiting 6 weeks - END of story surely - clayton and co will go in late june / July also - as all directors will be thinking the same - save money - blame Neil if your disappointed - as it was an unrealistic expectation to sign 4 by this week - PEARCE will do me for starters and watch the others roll in by july fixtures and training ..CHILL and go on holiday for a bit - pretend its the 70s and 80s again

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing my reply above on 'silly expectations' and all my future posts as and by 'RayHankin' no bulls**t just goals

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to bring in players early to get the quality the longer we wait the worse the players are that are available . this has been our problem in the past bates not wanting to pay wages over the summer .

Agree0 Disagree0

KB is what...80 ? He hasnt got the enthusiasm to start investing in the team any more. He's after a quick buck for the work he's put in and I personally think now is the right time..... But perhaps not. Its on my wish list

Agree0 Disagree0

I wish I could allow myself to get excited about this idea... but we've been hearing this every year for a decade. I'm not holding my breath.

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldn't sell until his village is finished and we are in the Prem.

You couldn't force him to sell as he has the ground and various debts i.e. to the council (and most likely himself) tied up in a mysterious web that would be a nightmare for anyone to try an untangle without his help.

He still hasn’t gotten over the Chelsea buyout and would be damned if the fans or investors tried anything (in fact he relishes it). At his age and level of spite the only signing he would make would be a big fat padlock on the front gate on Elland Road.

There are only 2 certainties in this life, death and taxes. He lives in Monaco so we can rule taxes out but in his late 80’s we should have a new Chairmen before too long. MOT.

After Neil Warnocks departed abroad for his holiday yesterday, don't be expecting any new signings in the next week or two.

Tom Lees is expecting to sign a new contract, whilst Aidy White looks set to leave, along with Ross. Snoddy is waiting to see if our ambitions show with new signings, which at the minute isn't looking good.

Keep the faith, MOT!

Believable14 Unbelievable6

When warnock gets back he;ll probably have no team to build because papa smurf would have put the best on transfer list.

Bates and Richard branson r in talks over the sale of Leeds. Nobody signed a new contract or nobody been bought as Leeds are waiting 4 the outcome of the possible takeover! Very very reliable source! {Ed013's Note - Tom Lee's is about to sign a new contract}

Believable13 Unbelievable30

Richard Branson has owned my things including a hot air balloon, but he never owned any sporting club, cant see him suddenly changing his mind, who is your source Mr Bolt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats your source? or is this just more lies?

Agree0 Disagree0

Virgin & Leeds ? Interesting little combination. Didnt think Branson was that interested in footy. Lets see what shakes out in coming week or two

Agree0 Disagree0

You say richard branson never owned any sport club! I'm pretty sure he owned London Broncos Rugby League at one point

Agree0 Disagree0

He was involved in formula 1 but was concerned about the lack of profit as a business. Football is probably the only pie he hasn't had a finger or two in, however I can't see him just suddenly wanting to, espeically with the above about formula 1, and if he did, i know of no reason why leeds would be of interest to him over other clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whilst I doubt there is any credibility in this rumour, Richard Branson's Virgin Group were majority shareholders in London Bronco's Rugby League in the mid 90's!

Agree0 Disagree0

So they owned a rugby club 15+ years ago not sure how that means there is no credibility

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find it was actually Mark Zuckerberg with a false beard on. Honest..would I lie to you and just make up a load of crap ?

Agree0 Disagree0

More chance of platting fog than branson investing in us

Agree0 Disagree0

Richard branson PMSL ive heard it all on ere now LOL!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, I for one would be delighted to support my team in 'Virgin Road' football stadium. Maybe we could all wear shirts with 'Virgin' written across the shoulders too. The team could enter the stadium to Madonna's 'Like a virgin', and there could be a special section for 72 extremely ugly fans to discourage radical extremism. Ooooh! They could stop selling pints of beer in the bars and sell pints of extra-virgin olive oil! I'm running out of puns...

Becchio interesting the owls. This is becoming a nightmare. What the hell is going on. Are we on the verge of admin again? Something is going down and I'm now getting worried. I just wish bates would go back to smurfland and leave our beloved Leeds United alone. The bloke a joke.

Believable16 Unbelievable19

Dont think Owls would match what he get at Leeds and in my eyes a step backward for Becchio

Agree0 Disagree0

Do not believe this one at all. When you ask what's happening if your one of these that believed the reason we didn't sign ward was because we didn't have any money you would be wrong. Duncan castles reliable journo if there ever was one has stated the deal collapsed because of Portsmouth wanting changes to the fee and ward changed his mind after agreeing personal terms with us (which he is entitled to do and also prob means he won't have to move house if he signs for palace)
Try have some positivity and wait until the season starts before getting upset as has been said before a long time to go before it starts again. Plenty of time to get some deals done.

Agree0 Disagree0

The bloke is a joke...UNLESS, we see something really really interesting in coming weeks. Dont ya just luv the excitement or delayed frustration and depression

Agree0 Disagree0

Just cos someone is interesting a club doesn't mean they are going to sign him. Messi is no doubt of interest to every club in the world, but he's at barca until they decide to sell him and he no longer wants to be there.

Agree0 Disagree0

May as well let him go with the rest who won;t want to sign a new deal ie,snodgrass, white, clayton, mccormack, just got a feeling the bad old days are coming back.

Leeds almost agreed terms with out of contract stoke cm Tom Soares.

Believable8 Unbelievable19

Soares has been offered £2.00 per week, a bag of Walkers Crisps and he can clea Bates shoes every Saturday. Bates feels this is a good deal for the player as he should be grateful he may be allowed to play for Leeds United.
