I would have no problem with Jordan. Ok so he left us for them, so what, my only concern would be can he do the job and he would be as well placed as anyone. That said, he wouldn't fit the description of a young manager but I would prefer him to Coyle personally.

Joe Jordan, good number 2 don't tend to make good number ones, interesting suggestion though.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the 2nd poster there's plenty of number twos which have made good managers Steve Clarke, Brendan Rodgers, David o'leary the list is endless

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian Robson was a hard player but a crap manager.
Mark Hughes was a hard player but a crap manager.
Joe Jordan was a hard player so reckon will be crap

I like Jordan and he's no doubt had a great tutor in Harry however my worry with him is that at the age he's at surely he'd have already proven himself and I'm not sure I'd want us to take a risk on someone who is basically unproven. A younger manager who has shown at least some potential, can attract good quality players and who can get us playing good football is what we need - a Poyet type who we can give a chance to build. I think our next manager is hugely important, yes we've all got huge expectation and hope of promotion but I really hope we can attract a manager who gets us playing good football and will stick with us - for me some like a Brendan Rogers who is clearly talented, young, gets his teams playing good football, we've also got the history that if we get someone like that, I'd like to think we can keep hold of him too (I'll point out that I'm not suggesting we could attract Rogers either by the way!)

Agree0 Disagree0

With no pre conceived expectations and Joe Jordan joining us I don't think it would be a bad thing. Could he really do worse than anyone else? Anyone with a heart in the club and displaying passion gets my vote. Warnock was a right choice but as much as any appointment might look good its all about delivering results and meeting expectations or time runs out. I'd welcome Joe Jordan

Agree0 Disagree0

Poyet was wises #2 and he's doing a decent job

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have McAllister back. I thought he was treated harshly before, and made some great signings. He's also loyal to the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been a manger before. He is not always a No 2
1988–1990 Bristol City
1990–1993 Heart of Midlothian
1993–1994 Stoke City
1994–1997 Bristol City

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you actually go and watch us when McAllister was in charge?
I was at McAllister's last game in charge at away to MK Dons and believe me, I said before I left that there was no way McAllister was keeping his job after a performance like that.
Fabian Delph was about the only player to have put in a shift, that game and McAllister looked like a completely broken man. Didn't see him utter a single word from the bench, just stared into space the whole game.
I respect his efforts as a player (and what a player) but, as a manager, McAllister will only ever be a decent attacking coach. Never more than that.

If we were to raid Scotland I would prefer Terry Butcher, also doing a great job.

Agree0 Disagree0

He may be doing the business up there but to be perfectly honest it is a bit of a Micky Mouse league.

To poster no. 1 (wrexham whites) His dad played for Leeds and he's a Leeds fan!

Derek McInnes did a great job at St Johnstone but went down the pan at Bristol City. Mark McGhee did the same when he went to Bristol Rovers and ended up bottom of Div 2. Scottish football league results are not on par with English football league. No disrespect to the Scots. Would prefer English League manager or are you prepared to watch the guy burn in Baptism of fire and then jump on his back

Agree0 Disagree0

He chose Bradford City over Leeds in his playing days, he would not come to us and I don't think he'd be the most welcome manager. Why not go for a young and upcoming manager like Karl Robinson at MK Dons or Di Canio. Someone to over see a youthful revolution, Adkins would have been good but fair play to him he wanted a job with a club with a bit of stability.

the paper says today Brian Mcdermott is to replace warnock

Believable31 Unbelievable16

That's because he's 5/2 favourite at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isnt Brian McDermott the manager of Leeds rugby league as well, that would be a first, same manager of both teams

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love baldy mcdermot at Elland road. Think he would do a decent job.

Agree0 Disagree0

McDermot a good lad but tactually not great, his teams are to open

Agree0 Disagree0

His first signing to be Glen Murray of Crystal Palace tried to sign him in January.

Agree0 Disagree1

Good enough for me. Solid calm long term manager. Good football. can't be right we are not that lucky

i watched the development squad against Birmingham on Tuesday evening. (much better display than England). I am not sure if Habibou is good enough but what stood out for me was the performance of Simon Lenighan. A big lad in midfield. He looks strong and very solid. good passer of the ball. very impressed

Agree0 Disagree0

Cracking player, knows where the goal is and is coming on a treat. good addition if we can keep him! and he matures as a player with lufc.

GFH's AGM takes place tomorrow. Maybe a little light will be shed.

Believable2 Unbelievable18

Er why are you not believing this? It's on their website. Or are you disbelieving that a little light may be shed. In which case I agree with you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe a little shed with a light
