Reading between the lines with Warnocks interview, it looks like Becchio is of to premier league club. Wigan presumably or Stoke.

Avid Leeds fan here, loyal to the core......lost my Grandson Finlay at 8 days old to a condition called CDH. First thing I bought him when he was fighting for his life was a first size full Leeds kit. Help the charity that supported us by signing this e-petition asking the government for more research and funding.

Becchio wants 25k a week to stay on at Leeds united.

He is currently our highest earner on around 15k a week and Leeds have offered him 20k a week.

IMO we should cash in, play better without him and we can use the money to bring in CMS/Gradel.

I would swop cms and gravel for becchio all day everyday!

I personally would be sad to see becchio go as he's been a good servant to the club and proved his ability in front of the goal, lets face it if prem clubs are after him no one can say that we don't need him if we sell him we will have to use all that money to get some one good in IMO but even though I love becchio if he won't stay with the wages where off let him go.

Becchio's agent has said that he wants to stay at leeds, and he wanted a contract for him to 2016 so he can end his career at leeds. but with a new deal, comes an improved contract, and the improvement made wasnt good enough in his eyes. Offer him a 20-25k a week contract, and we keep our top goal scorer and remain a chance to clinch play off spot (hopeful).

Behave yourself, becchio isn't worth that much, soma and McCormack are much better strikers but they don't fit in with warnocks hoofball tactics!

3.6 million in wages over the 3 1/2 year contract he was offered and his agent say he has a wife and 3 kids to support, he won't have a morgage or any loans, greedy B, Footballers don't live in the real world do they!

Obviously he is worth it as other clubs are willing to pay that to him. It is market forces. Pay peanuts and you get monkeys or in our case free transfers that nobody else wants

I believe Becchio does want to stay, the way the club have always sold our 'assets' among the squad in seasons past. I don't need to name the players as we all know who they are. Becchio has been put in the shop window weeks ago by the club, Mick Jones stupid comments which I interpreted as Becchio for sale. Warnocks ridiculous statements in following weeks. Becchio is being forced out IMO !

Certainly not worth £25000 a week, for the club to then have no resale value at the end of further 3 year contract extension .

I'm a fan of Becchio and he does a job but overall I think McCormack is a better player so on that basis I wouldn't pay him 25k even 20k is a push. Paying him 25k could put quite a few noses out of joint and lead to more asking for pay rises

He isn't even that good to ask for that much money he was beckfords understudy and we showed we play better football without him

What have GFH got to do with a player wanting to join a premiership club over us ? Its you who needs to get a grip.

If this is true then it is hardly surprising we would miss out on him. If you were a football player then who would you choose? A mid-table premier league club or a mid-table championship club? Not really a difficult decision when you think about it.

He's on 40k a week at Aston Villa.. He probably won't drop no less than 20K now. Keep looking GFH!

No...you need to get a grip, You do not know if we were ever interested in Warnock and if we were and a premier club also wanted him where do you think he would go. Another moaner posting negative comments trying to cause disharmony with the club and supporters, are you a Leeds United fan?

What a lot of fans keep forgetting is that GFH have already invested in this squad in the summer. So I don't really blame them if they're holding off more investment given the kind of football we are playing and the players that we signed.

Wish folk would stop going on about habib habubou he is garbage a striker who has managed 45 goals in 7 seasons is this thetype of player we want warnock to sign I said same when we was linked with varney how good has that turned out

7 seasons ago he was 18! An 18/19/20 year old is not going to be a starting player who scores 15/20 goals a season, so give it a rest with all that rubbish. I think he looks to be a good player.

I was pretty bored this morning so I did some comparative research! According to their stats before joining Leeds, Becchio played 129 competitive matches and scored 38 goals. Habibou has played 128 competitive matches and scored 45!
I'm not saying he will be better than Becchio, or that he will score goals for Leeds because I haven't seen him play. But stats don't always tell the whole story!

Well said 3rd poster, a liitle positivity, to all the negativity towards a player(Habibou) we haven't even signed yet, we are not going to sign ready made superstars, finances dictate that, so we have to sign players we think have the potential, so lets give this player our support, if he signs as I have done some research on him too, and he looks the real deal...

I agree with the above post, we don't need Habibou! In my opinion I would go for CMS someone with an engine & determination may not get enough goals but would be great for doing the spade work for Ross Mc At this level, If becchio goes

Habibou has been a left winger for most of his career, he has only swapped to play up top this season, so his goal tally isn't bad at all actually for someone who's played out wide for the most part

All we need now is Yogi, they make a good combination!

Watch him on youtube looks like he will be good. even if he does play out wide means ross mc will push up front. still agree we will need someone else upfront aswell, or give the youth boys a chance, dawson or poleon. someone in the centre to control the game would be a bonus!

Oh and habibou's contract is up end of the year so might be able to get him cheap
