McCormack, Becchio, Nunez and Paynter as good as any others in the league. {Ed015's Note - just got to give them the chance they need}
Believable22
Unbelievable9
Paynter is the exception. Not good enough.
Agree0
Disagree0
Why people keep going on about strikers I will never know, that was hardly are problem last season.
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree, especially Paynter If he starts every week with Beccio of Mcormack he'll bang on 30 Plus Goals. Quality Player, also i think Mcormack is better than Becchio
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree with last post
Agree0
Disagree0
Becchio & McCormack start next season. Paynter I agree wasn't fit last season, but his touch is poor & does not have Becchio's work ethic.
Agree0
Disagree0
Nunez has most potential if played behind a main striker and must get his chance.
Agree0
Disagree0
Paynter as good as any in the league?
I know he had only around 8 starts but he had plenty of game time and only scored once.
There is probably 1 striker at each club in the Championship better than him.
Don't think he would be a first choice for any club in out league. The only team that has been mentioned being interested in him is Sheff Utd, league 1, pretty much his level.
Agree0
Disagree0
Nunez watched him in the reserves before loaned out to scunny all i will say is if played just behind strikers expect 20 to 30 goals next season, best prospect i have seen at leeds for a long long time
Agree0
Disagree0
By what measure are Nunez and Paynter as good as any others in the league (unless you mean the telegraph fantasy football league). Unless Becchio gets injured (or Leeds cash in) paynter will not play many games. Assuming Howson, Snodgrass and Gradel (or McCormack) all play next season nunez wont get a kick either.

Ed: your thoughts on new zealand international shane smeltz? goal scoring machine and would be a bargain to buy {Ed015's Note - not really played at the level we are looking for and was only signed by Australian A-League side Perth Glory in march}
Believable2
Unbelievable11
I am from Australia and I think Smeltz would rather stay in Perth than go back to England although he is a goal scoring machine
Agree0

Natural goalscorer but at 29 i think he is settled in Oz. Leeds arent short of options up front

gradel and snodgrass not being sold . however grayson only 2 million to spend on new players and that is only if schemicel goes to leicester . wages stumbling block on loan signings . source thorpe arch security worker .
Believable13
Unbelievable20
How would a security worker know this. None of the players have reported back for training and I cannot see Grayson or any of the Management Team discussing transfer policy with a security guard.
Agree0

Are the security at Thorpe arch now informed of all spending budgets, wage bills etc?

If Nunez has a good season ( and more importantly a chance in the team ) I am pretty sure he will become a fans favourite like becchio and hughsey sadly now departed. He is talked about alot despite hardly ever being in the limelight and seems to have the work ethic and energy, Come on Grayson get him involved, looking forward to next season. Leeds leeds leeds.
Believable24
Unbelievable7
Lets hope he can bring a bit of flair to our midfield. we could do with some creativity in the middle of the park
Agree0
Disagree0
He is amazing, watch him on LUTV If grayson doesn't start him next season he derserves to get sacked {Ed015's Note - not exactly the best reason to sack Grayson}
Agree0
Disagree0
Nunez spends a lot of time away on International duty with Honduras, so Grayson will still need to bring in at least 2 midfielders.
Agree0
Disagree0
Don't think he's as good as your making out watched him playing for honduras the other night, he came on after about 30mins and his workrate was poor imo and he never really looked for the ball was happy to let other people have it. Might develop though.
Agree0
Disagree0
Hes a brilliant player.. just cos he has one bad game.. he'll be one of our best midfielders his season coming up..
Agree0
Disagree0
Scunthorpe fans went mad for him back end of last season & Hughesy recommended him to them, obviously the players like him
Agree0
Disagree0
Hughsey a fan fav no no no what a load of rubbish he was thank god he went
Agree0
Disagree0
Hughesy was a fan favourite because of his work ethic. I have a season ticket and every fan around me gave louder cheers when Hughesy tackled someone than anybody else because he gives everything for the cause. No one ever said he was a good player.

Regarding Billy Paynter, lets be honest he is not going to score a lot of goals, Grayson seems to have bought a one trick pony(nobody at elland road has even seen the one trick yet) sorry billy time to move on. McCormack will set the championship a light if Grayson will take the option of playing the lad.
Believable14
Unbelievable20
A little bit harsh, since he shattered his shin bone.... i think grayson will stick by him and give a chance
Agree0
Disagree0
Mccormack n becchio up top next season. But i rate paynter n to say he has no goals in him is bull If u went to every game ud no he started only a handful of games, didnt have a pre season due to injury and was a late sub most of the time. Give him a break. He tore leeds to pieces in league 1 with swindon. He deserves a chance. Ps get your money on ross mccormack to be top scorer in championship next season MOT
Agree0
Disagree0
Lol ross had a couple of good games that happened to be at the end of the season, god help em if he has a couple of bad ones at the start of next season you will be chanting Mccormack out lol stick to football manager mate and let the real manager do his job.

I am Leeds through and through if you cut me I would bleed blue all these people who say grayson should go and he is past it and want grayson sacked are all drama queens and a bit bored with there sad lives and want a bit of gossip grayson is young hungry ambitious and a leeds fan so go sit down catch up on your soaps cos your not leeds fans leave the job to simon simon lost the plot don't make me laugh all you sad people lost the plot a long time ago
Believable24
Unbelievable7
Bleed blue? So your an Everton fan then?
Agree0

You might be leeds through and through but your mad if you think Grayson can take us forward. He's done a great job but some of his decision making last season at crucial points showed he's not got the mental strength and I think this rubbed of on the team at the back end of last season. Respect Grayson for what he's done but not the man to take us back to the premiership in my opinion

Can i remind you of those ill chosen words around November time.
Just because I am not a Grayson fan doesnt mean I dont love my club, I do. the difference between you and me is you think grayson being a fan is enough, problem there is it isnt anywhere near enough. The way Kasper has been treated has been appalling. If Grayson has a better keeper lined up (reality is he hasnt) then fair enough, but to excuse the way the club have behaved by suggesting Kasper was responsible for our poor defensive record is really poor management. The facts are our back 4 (all grayson signings) werent good enough and we played with no defensive midfield cover all season (Grayson tactics). Grateful for the job Grayson has done getting us out of League 1, whether you like it or not (your obviously his wife or mum) he will NEVER take Leeds back to the premiership because he simply isnt good enough.
Agree0
Disagree0
Well said, grayson simply isnt good enough
Agree0
Disagree0
I dont see how Kasper has been treated appallingly. The management has told him that he has no future at the club and its best that he moves on, Should they keep him and let him think that he has a future with Leeds??
You may not agree whether or not he deserves to be let go, but you cant argue with the way it has been done. If my employer didnt rate me id prefer to know so i could move to somewhere that does
Agree0
Disagree0
If you cut me I bleed white mate. Think you are a Chelsea fan
Agree0
Disagree0
The lad is right to be honest, Graysons had too much stick, i think hes done a great job so far, just because we didnt get back to back promotions he has to go? its ridiculous, get off his back, he wants to take us back to the premier league and i know he will do it, idve taken just outside the relegation zone last season providing we just came up from league one, so lets see what happens next season before we start a witch hunt, we've gone through so many manager and you want another one that will disrupt stability that Grayson wants at Leeds? come on fellas get off the mans back
Agree0
Disagree0
I think Grayson is a decent manager, not great perhaps, but decent. I couldn't care less whether he is a fan or not. For me though his weakness is that he alows Ken Bates to hide behind him. Bates gives him peanuts to spend and Grayson gets the stick for buying or loaning poor players...Bates wont allow the club to offer competitive wages and Grayson gets criticised for not retaining players. In the end it'll cost him his job as Bates will make him the fall guy, but other clubs will just see a manager who got the boot after building a team of misfits.

Heard a couple of rumours floating about, not sure how true they are though!
Leeds interested in Tomasz Kuszczak from 'them' and Chris Kirkland to fill the void left by Kasper (if he leaves)! Also heard we were looking at Hahnemann too!
Also been hearing a lot of talk about Gradel going to West Ham (mostly on twitter though) apparently we've already entered talks with them!!
Believable7
Unbelievable21
If they're capable of dominating their area, coming off their line and actually catching a ball now and again then they're more than welcome. We've missed goalkeepers like that!!

This is an extract from Max Kruse's wikipedia page.....
Kruse began his career with TSV Reinbek before joined in summer 1998 to SC Vier- und Marschlande. After seven years here he was scouted from Werder Bremen in July 2005.[1] On 4 May 2009, He signed a two year contract with FC St. Pauli. It is rumoured that Kruse will join Leeds United AFC with FC St. Pauli team-mate Moritz Volz and DYE HIS HAIR ELECTRIC GREEN in the summer of 2011

this page is a rumour/banter page, however likely or unlikely the rumour its stil a rumour, banter is what u give between clubs. Slagging managers/chairmans/players however bad is not for this page . We are leeds we are the mighty whites we should get behind the manager no matter what! And as for signings any1 remember a lad called chapman??? He weren't the greatest signing but scored 30 somethin goals in our league title yr. Do u agree ed?? {Ed015's Note - i do remember and il do my best to put everything that isnt a rumour onto the banter page, there was a few players from the past 20years who stand out to me, but Chapman is one that often goes unnoticed}

I wrote original post and so many players have become cult heroes, yeboah, radebe and hasselbaink to name a few, these came from nowhere, never heard of, i got a feeling about nunez and that he will shine for us this year, whoever we bring in we should have faith in the boss and who he does sign after all none of us can do a better job than what he has in the last 2yrs
Agree0

Probably just an excuse for Bates to say Gradel's agent has asked for too much cash, and that it will be in the best interests of the club if we sell him, if Gradel leaves it will be a massive kick in the teeth to the fans.

Tell that to your Celtic editor as he's asked me for my source on a previous comment - whats good for the goose...... {Ed007's Note - Yes regarding you calling me a liar, the source of a story is acceptable i.e newspaper articles, not the source of a rumour, is that too hard to understand?}

3m for smithies might be a large fee but if you put the money from the kasper sale then you only need to find 1.45m that should be achievable cos we need to start from the back and this lad is special could be worth 10m in a couple of years you can't lose he is class just who we need not that numpty from the scum

3 mill when we selling kasper for around 1 mill get real
Agree0

Leeds will not spend £3m on anybody, its just not going to happen. If Leeds cant get new players on free transfers then we will only sign loan players. Leeds havent spent millions on a new signing since the ridsdale days, that situation isnt changing ant time soon.
