Leeds united bid 300k for George boyd

Believable67 Unbelievable21

Lol no chance keep drinking

Agree0 Disagree1

Keep drinking? Boyd will leave posh for Leeds. Watch this space!

Agree1 Disagree0

I can see this happening IMO. He's not wanted at posh (since the dispute they had) and was linked with us in the summer

Agree1 Disagree0

Which lunatic thinks george boyd wont leave posh for leeds. he'd be mad not to!

Agree1 Disagree0

Not leaving for 300 keep taking the drugs

Agree0 Disagree0

Regardless off price he's going in next few weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that he will probably leave posh, to where i dont know but 300k not in your wildest dreams. {Ed013's Note - He only has 6 months left on his contract}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not being funny but how many times have we let players go for cut down prices as contracts are nearly up so £300,000 seems reasonable for someone in that position unless there is suddenly a bidding war with other clubs interested

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds anit only team be in for him n posh would rather keep him till end of season then let him leave for that kinda cash

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is out of contract at the end of the season then you wont get a penny never mind £300, 000 thats my point . Beckford was in the same position and we kept him till the end of the season and lost him for no fee

Just posted about conceding just before half time- now 2 conceded at beginning of 2nd half. I really admire the run we have been on recently, but today is pathetic. Tactically naive. Not sure this was the best game to recall a semi fit Austin? Should Norris have been dropped? We never really play any posession football. we just launch it. no fluency. All this GFH posturing of " we have a good team already" we have an ok championship side, that's all. It's not a team capable of getting in the play offs. It's getting harder and harder. Today was a massive game which I think will define our season. Would have been back in top 6 at a vital stage, kept momentum going and with Jan window on horizon. In the end capitulated ridiculously. We concede far too many and are never comfortable in games. Today, just before half time we just had to be professional, patient, keep the ball and get to half time. Couldn't. No play offs for us.

could see austin was tired after 20+ mins he was getting slower by the minute ,warnock as to take the blame as he should of introduced him gradually in games.
i think most of them had poor games today but it could be to do with having day off yesterday and not working there meals off as they all looked very tired.they all seemed to want an extra second or 2 on the ball as well .
this squad is a decent championship squad but defo needs a few extra players to get promoted.
somma played quite well when he came on just needs a bit more game time . not the end of the world its 1 loss im sure teams around us will lose games when we win

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. keep hearing we need another striker. i think we also need a new back 5, and some midfielders who can string more than 2 passes together.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree.warnock on about a signing a striker, hed want to sort out the defence and midfield first.we wudnt keep a clean sheet against an under ten team

Agree1 Disagree0

One bad game after a impressive run and people like you get so annoyed and claim our team is rubbish and not capable of promotion. shut up. a week ago you were probably saying that we were fantastic and were going to get promoted. i say we will win our next game and continue what will be still, an impressive run into january where we will be backed for the first time and will. improve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't agree with last poster. Similar situation to last season at this time - writing was on wall then, as it is now. Over 1.5 goals a game conceded, defence that drops like a pack of cards under pressure, shocking performance 1st half Saturday; we "escaped" with a win, don't dispute NW track record but question whether this is one job too many for him, tactical ineptitude so far this season for man of his calibre is staggering - the left back role being just one example. I for one have settled for mid-table mediocrity and will renew my season ticket in the hope of something worth while happening 2013-14.

Agree0 Disagree0

Disappointed today. Diouf's passing was woeful but then again there was no-one in a position to pass to most of the time. Don't understand why they kept allowing a Forest player to control the ball, turn and run at them before making a challenge. Simple stuff to not allow them to turn, don't necessarily need to put in a tackle just don't let them settle. Thomas also guilty of giving posession away too often. Byram looked out of his depth and Austin clearly not fit.Oh well, we've done well recently. Probably why this display hurts so much!

Agree0 Disagree0

Austin shud never of started drury shouldn't of played at all he was woefull and why the hell is mCcormack not starting up front with becchio MOTs

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds 37 the Rest 40. Now three years in a row, the same story, any 5 year old could see that we need defenders who can defend and Goalie who can get to a high ball and inspire some confidence in the defence that can defend. Kenny has no presence whatsoever. We are too light weight. We are too slow but we ain't all that far away from promotion. January will be crucial. Defenders please. We are 9th with -3 goals. The only team in the top Dozen with a negative goal difference. We'd, we need to sort the defence and goalkeeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes a NEw Goalie , couple of backs an two wingers r&l .... We have the forwards .....
Why mc,crmk not getting matches ?

Leeds are set to sign Dexter Blackstock from Nottingham Forest for £700,000.

Believable9 Unbelievable74

Said in after match interview.."honor to play 4 forest"

Would love him, but not 4 700,000k...nope.

Apparently Bolton after becchio for 3 million I doubt it he will go

Believable18 Unbelievable35

I know he's banging a few in lately but for me that would be good business..hold out for another half a mill-1million and I'd take that. Much as I love Becchio and what he's done for us, he's not the type who can make a goal for himself, curl one in from the edge of the box etc...All his goals are tap ins or 3 yard headers that have bounced about in the box for a while. We need someone like Lambert who can do all the above and score a 30 yarder. Lamberts better than Becchio for me.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Dec 2012 14:28:24
did you miss the goal against middlesbrough that wasn't a tap in or an header .

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Dec 2012 14:32:17
becchio worth 6 mil so 3-4 mil would be poor business as we would struggle to find another player as good . you dont sell a top player if you cant get quality cover and still have cash for some other player

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not about doing spectacular goals it about being in the right place at the right time. just look at his score tally. bechio is a poacher, its not all about players who can create chances its does who can finish them.
mot!!

Agree1 Disagree0

To the first reply, did you not see his first goal against Middlesborough?

Agree0 Disagree0

His first goal against Middleborugh was inside the box, just what the first poetser was saying

Agree0 Disagree0

100% of his goals inside the box, and 90% of them inside the six yard box......has he ever scored a goal outside the box, thats what we need a striker with pace who can belt one from 20-25-30 yards away...

Agree0 Disagree0

Before his recent run of a few...yes a few games scoring, i was worried he'd gone off the boil, overtstayed his time at Leeds and we'd missed cashing him on him, now he's hit a few in a few, yes a few games, nows the time to cash in as he'll soon go off the boil again...

Agree0 Disagree0

Would take it. Becchio maybe a poacher, but the rest of the time he runs around like a headless chicken.

Lot's of technically better players we could get for that money.... Billy Sharp, Danny Graham, Blackstock, Austin (maybe), Morrison, K Jones etc etc

Agree1 Disagree0

How many goals did Allan Clarke score from outside of the box? MK

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would have have...Becchio, maybe going to Bolton or Ngog already at Bolton.....Ngog for me....

Agree0 Disagree1

Ngog? are you serious? Hes bloody awful..........

Agree1 Disagree0

I'd take that kind of money, cos he aint worth that much. Becchio has a knack of getting in the right place to score goals, a true poacher, but if we aint gonna play a system where we play to his strengths, then get rid of him. He has no pace, he has no first touch, but he can head a ball. We either get another fast winger to supply him or use McCormack who we can pass to his feet.

Agree1 Disagree0

What a crock. Bechio just got in top ten all time scorers and you want shut. does it matter where he is when he scores as long as he does.talk about never being happy

Agree0 Disagree1

The pirror (m) reporting becchio could be in his way to Bolton for 3mill and we are after dexter blackstock from forest for 700,000

The daily reflection saying Bolton after becchio for 3m and were after blackstock for 700 k as much as blackstocks got pace I don't think he is the so called icing on the cake MOT
