Becchio rejecte 20k a week, good to see we can offer players that much. He does deserve mre which we just can't give him. Sure there is lot of striker that would like to earn that we can sign

Does he hell deserve more he scores scabby goals and puts no effort in chasing ball down and helping team mates out and goes down far to easy lets cash in on him and sign someone better

I think 20 grand a week in this division is a more than generous offer. if Becchio can get more then good luck to him as he has been a good player for Leeds. But given what has happend in the past i'm glad to see us having a sensible wage plan and not going above it. Saying that GHF please sign some players of quality soon or you are going to lose hope and optimism that you got when you took over from Mr Bates

I agree its nice to see we can offer that, but I don't think he's worth anywhere near 20k a week, I love the man to bits and he's been a great servant to leeds but he's not good enough for that money. L

Why does he deserve more in this league and team, if he stuck it out and we get promoted then yes pay him more, you end up paying him more and other players then ask for higher wages, catch 22....if he wants more money and he doesn, t want to play for the shirt get rid of him, we are leeds and we are bigger than one individual

The warnock machine rolls on calling becchio a few facts whatever warnock says becchio isn't the top earner that lies with paddy kenny and adam drury both former prem players thsay sre our top earners with becchio and rosco just behind no I hear a lot of roscoe is a better striker lets look at facts las season roscoe scored 19 goals in 47 appearances and this year becchio has scored 19 in half that amount and as for those who say he can't hold the ball up his first touch is poor remember lee champman and his goals this isn't about money at all whatever warnock says its about constantly being blamed for neil warnocks hoofball tactics we win warnocks picked the right team we lose its all becchios fault beccho scores in any sytem warnock picks we passed against palace and huddersfield becchio scored in both games take away becchios goals and and the wins his goals got us we would be relegation fodder

To the person who says if he sticks it out then pay him if we get promoted witgh this pile of crap tactic of warnock doing behave we stand a better chance of signing messi

Aye lets get it right. Warnock has been pulling strings behind the scenes to move Becchio on. Fans in here say Becchio is this and he's that. Becchio doesn't say he it. He just gets on and plays his football. My gut instinct for twenty years has always been that I don't like Warnock. I've seen nothing in his time with Leeds to change that.

Apparently one of the offers for Bechio came from China,,,

St etienne is the club after Becchio apparently, this probably means Gradel will be part of the deal.

Id certainly take that Plus cash for becchio.other way around is a backwards step!

This is a rumour!!

I have heard we have 3 players lined up that are in closing stages of deals... I dunno who many speculate habibou, warnock etc but I think we could be surprised look at tate and thomas out of no where I hope so and I hope becchio changes his mind really do.

Leeds will not be making leading scorer Luciano Becchio another contract offer as he edges closer to the Elland Road exit door, according to manager Neil Warnock {Ed013's Note - He was offered a new 3 an a half year contract on 20K a week. There is nothing else Leeds can do than offer him that}

Yup 3.3 mill wages just over 3 years just aren't enough to live on these days, oh and bonuses and sponsership too, my fkin heart bleeds, time footbalers were brought into line with the real world and with the people that shell out thier hare earned week in week out, 20k a week, i'm sure there are plenty of leeds out there wld love that in a year !!

How do we know they offered that? Warnock over the last 3 weeks has done nothing but slate him. I carn't believe fans think he wasn't pushed to this, so GFH could get funds in.

Its pretty clear to me the players will have some idea about the financial clout of gfh capital and its clear to me that very little money is going to be invested if they were going to add quailty players to the squad not just freebies and loans iam talking about 1 to 2 million pound players I would be in no doubt becchio would have stayed you get 4 or 5 quailty players in and becchio and the rest of the squad think this time next year prem but lets face it its not going to happen

Simple leeds offerd what they could and becchio wants more which is fair as he is 29 and needs 2 move to higher football as he has been our best player 4 along time

Thanks ed, I think the club have offered him enough in that case and his head has been turned which is very disapointing. Becchio won't get much more than that in the prem, Maybe an extra 5k tops.

Doubt it. Not every prem player is on big wages.
Average wage in the Premier League is around 22k and given that the average is skewed by the likes of John Terry and Wayne Rooney, you can expect a lot of prem players to be earning around 15k a week.
Taking that into consideration, Leeds United has already offered Becchio more than a lot of Prem players are getting.
Becchio can do one, as far as I'm concerned.

Becchio leaving Leeds, will be replaced with Bradfords Wells who will be replaced by Huddersfields Lee Novak. i'm not sure how much money will be changing hands with these deals though

So long as wednesday pay up his contract( he is 1 of clubs highest earners) then i'm happy with this deal. I reckon he was on in excess of 10k so to get rid of that is great

It was Palace that ha the fail Adomah bid, not us. We aren't going to be ble to compete with the likes of palace i'm afraid. Why don't we pick up some young plyers from lowers leagues?

Great signing, useless post. Stop focussing on player ages and look at the whole picture. Would you rather they spent £3mil on a young unproven left back who can't cope and gets beat left right and centre, to then be out of the new managers plans come summer and sold for next to nothing? Or get a proven player in on loan with the possibility of signing if he impresses? MOT

I happen to think that bringing Warnock in is a good move for all concerned. Hopefully he will teach Aidy to be a better full back.

Although I agree with most of these comments, would be a decent signing and you can't judge until he plays, but c'mon you can't base his ability on having an England call up......I recall one Michael Ricketts having an England call up too!!!

He went to the 2010 world cup with England ahead of Leighton Baines, not that I'm saying that was the right decision, but Capello must of seen something in him

Where on here or os does it say we've signed s warnock from villa iv just looked and didn't see owt!! and thank god he ain't yet as looking at you ageist bump ties i'm surprised any1 would want to sign for us face it we haven't got the pull we so greatly had in 1990's or even early 2000 no more we are struggling to match or pay what most wages our rivals can stump up there so that's another thorn in our side! warnocks decent player even at age he is look at other teams after him?if and it's a big if he decides our great club over other teams chasing him for gods sake welcolm him aboard see him play then bloody decide.... fed up reading doom and gloom all time life's gloomy enough ...so come back whose brought in maybe just maybe you'll be surprised and some pressure on the team maybe lifted and good vibes may help push us on !
