This is reported in a National newspaper today:
Everton are ready to fight Manchester City for the £10m capture of Leeds ace Sam Byram.

Gets reported a lot, that's what papers do, means nowt if we don't wanna sell and sam doesn't wanna go

If Citeh offer 10 mill, then he'll go end of story. If we are willing to sell our top goalscorer by a long way for 1/4 plus a lame canary then no way will we be able to resist that kind of money.

We had to sell Becchio. Warnock didn't understand what he brought to the team. Odd, considering a high work rate and limited talent is usually what Warnock sides are all about.

Great player but if £10m is upfront then it would be good money to have to add to any GFH put in for McDermott to build a team with
Our problems are too widespread and we need to fill a lot of positions. IMO a £10m player is a luxury we can't afford in the Championship

I agree 10 Mill is too good to refuse. I'd love him to stay, but Leeds United is priority and 10 Mill up front would buy some seriously needed new additions

Everton don't have the kind of cash to fight man city or even to match that valuation so I wudent read too much into this just remember everton had to sell their top scorer not that long ago to fund jelavic I don't think they're in the position to have that kind of luxury either

All Prem teams will be much better funded to the tune of around 110 million more than his year. The new media deals kick in. That's why there's been a real scramble for the Prem, this season. Certainly more so than usual. Everton will have plenty of cash to fight it out for 10 mill players

with EL Hadj Diouf out of favour with Brian Mcdermot Leeds are preparing a bid to bring back Max Gradel with El Hadj going the other way

Who said he was out of favour? We won't get Gradel back, he's far FAR to good for this league and will want European football next season, if he's not still injured.

You clearly don't read reports. BMD has said that he wants to use him behind RM as part of our forward line!

Wondered how long it would take til the gradel bandwagon started rolling in2 town, get a grip!

Gradel currently has a serious knee injury which has ended his season. I doubt we are negotiating his return.

Beckfords run the course, now its gradel, soon be howson and becchio, people have no imagination

I can say honestly that the only player I would take back that is still playing now is snodgrass, even gradel crying like a big girl he was homesick, doesn't wash. i'm afraid he burned his bridges, (ahh bridges now there's a striker).
