Source from a former schoolmate who used to play for Leeds (Tom cairney) now at hull reckons he's spoke to Aidy white as he knows him from the academy days and that Aidy will not be sold but leeds are looking to clear out a minimum of 3 players by the end of next week

Believable47 Unbelievable19

I can certainly believe they would want to get 3 players out.
I'd shift Pugh, Norris and Brown.
Pugh to bring a small fee, Norris probably free. Although no one would want Brown so might be difficult

Agree0 Disagree0

For gods sake, if you're going to play aidy white in an attacking role which he has been recently i'd rather just release him on a free he's an absolutely liability.

Potential as a good left back definately but anything else if they get the opportunity to sell please do.

He has no end product in the final third whatsoever and wonder when a manager will realise this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get of aidys back will you the lad clearly has ability and under mcdermott I've no doubt he will flourish

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with david norris would be worth keeping him a lot of fans seem to have short memory when it comes to what manager all these players had to play under hoof ball warnock

Agree0 Disagree0

Aidy White is an average to fair player. What was his highlight last seaosn? He scored against Everton. That is all. Just because he can score once against a Premier League team on the day, it makes him massively talented? The guy can run, but that's all. I'd love to see him prove me wrong, but i'm not wrong. Sorry if you disagree, but that's the way it is. Someone wants him? Sell him.

Agree0 Disagree1

3 - are you joking? Need to clear out most of last season's team

Personally I'd get rid of white myself but that's what he's told my friend. I'd also get rid of Austin (terrible statistics over a season for a midfielder) sell white to derby I they offer 500k or more. Who would you all buy with the funds?

Lot of rumours in manchester Sam byram going to city for £5 million and being loaned back to leeds as this will allow leeds to get transfer targets as they have no money. Also deals are being done to bring money in but will not be in place till after the transfer market and current squad no were near good enough.

You've only stated this rumour because of what Manchester United did with zaha last season. Complete nonesense!

Agree3 Disagree0

I am living in Manchester a Leeds fan and this is a lie!

No one has been talking about this here - unless you've been having a good chat with your goldfish!

Agree1 Disagree0

Loaned back to Leeds!! Absolute nonsense story.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would Man City sign Byram, he might be decent at lower PL standard but Man City need players to compete in Champions league, not ones who are unproven at the top level.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2013 18:57:52
Exactly! And with Micah Richards discussing his future this week regarding rotational squad, I don't think for a second this is true as why would he even want to sign for a club where he's going to be third choice right back? And it's not asif Richards is coming to the end of his career.

Apparantly we have made a bid for Adomah that includes a transfer fee and 2 players. However Bristol are holding out for a fee of £1million

Believable37 Unbelievable36

Hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it unless Byram goes

Agree0 Disagree0

Two players? Crumbs, let's offer them about 5 players. Plenty of deadwood at LUFC thanks to Warnock.

Agree1 Disagree0

I reckon the players would be Pugh and Norris

I see reading are in talks with juventus about taking some of there young quality player on loan for the season. this is what we should do with the likes of Real Madrid barcelona or ac Milan for example get two or three players off them that we are lacking quality in some positions like morata up from from madrid a winger and a centre back and if we can't sell anyone let them out on loan to free up wages for these players.

Believable35 Unbelievable13

Good point sure watford do it the whole time with their feeder club

Agree0 Disagree1

You are correct! Leeds need to posture with ambition, but do so wisely through loan signings. But get some flair for the sake of filling the stands please.

Agree0 Disagree0

Morata lol dream on buddy if anywhere he will go on loan to a prem team

Agree0 Disagree0

You think its that easy? aha, how would any of these players benefit from playing for leeds in the championship. dream on

Agree0 Disagree0

Comment 4. Did u take any notice of the championship last season? Clearly not as Watford did it last season and unfortunately missed out on the premier league through the play offs. (Teletext supporter)

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is though barca and Madrid have b teams in Spanish division 2? So they send them to play for that side. That gets them the experience so why would they need to loan them to a team in the championship that wouldn't really benefit them any more than it would there second teams. Otherwise there would be no point in having a b team. Plus the pl 25 man squad isn't out yet so we can't loan or see what dead weight we can pick off from there either. And we clearly don't have money to be buying quality players. Dan the man

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't Grayson try this approach with Sanchez Watt, O'Dear et al.

Agree0 Disagree0

At least watford make the playoffs not like us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Watford did it to try gain quick success, through a team that is own by the same owners, they wouldn't have had a chance loaning the same player if not for that fact. Also, that's not what leeds are trying to do. we're trying to build foundations for a strong and healthy club which were corroded away throughout the bates era. This doesn't mean loan players in and have no real club assets, we need to build on what we have. I'd love us to take a leaf out of dortmunds or ajax's book.

A CONCERNED Brian McDermott revealed that he was operating a 'one out, one in' transfer policy at Elland Road after Leeds United suffered their third successive pre-season loss. So it looks like no transfers until some of Warnock's dross is sold!

Believable42 Unbelievable8

Dross bein the correct word, most of it mainly brought in by warnock, will be easier said than done getting rid of the likes of brown, tonge, varney, drury, pugh etc.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 16:18:53
Pugh was Graysons dross!

Agree3 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 16:19:46
And Brown wad Graysons dross!

Agree0 Disagree3

Love how you have added the concerned bit to make it sound worse 2 funny

Agree1 Disagree0

Can't understand McDermott's problem - there are so many players that need to be shown the door - just get on with it. The list in the first reply looks too short to me.

We were fed the same line 3 days before we paid £1m for Murphy. Where did that suddenly come from. As far as people leaving, it is not as simple as saying you, you and you can go. These 2nd rate squad players are on damn good money that they know they won't get anywhere else, so what would you do? see out your contract on the bench for £10K or move down a division to play regularly for 3 or 4K. These people are mercenary and it will cost a fortune to pay them off.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jul 2013 20:15:16
Morrison left on loan!

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't believe the lack of respect some people give to some of our players. Even if they are not good enough for our team its still disrespectful to call them Dross. They are human beings with feelings as well as being proffessional footballers and don't deserve people that have never played at that level insulting them. They were brought here by various managers played in our white shirt and as such are Leeds players till they leave, when its best for them and their families, that's what being a Pro means. Not every player can be a Leeds legend.

Agree7 Disagree1

22 Jul 2013 20:36:09
getting rid of the so called dross ain't going to be easy if we can see they are poor any Manager worth his salt must be able to see that

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown was Graysons signing but Warnock helped out his 'mate' by playing him repeatedly and thus activating his contract extension into this year. Drury was a weird one as he is decent but was never used. Pugh was never going to be a Gradel replacement so was on a loser from day one. Varney and Hall are journeyman not fit to grace the shirt and Warnock bought the paceless Tonge and then never played him. In summary, a few years of shambolic transfer business mainly as a result of Bates' frugal running of our club and the dross we are forced to endure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hall a journeyman? Isn't he only 24?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fully agree with scoops we bought a player after same speech and all players are contracted so unless they go out on loan on same money or sold and paid off then they will rightly stay

Daily Express journo reckons Manchester City are preparing a £4.5m bid for Sam Byram after Maicon finally sealed his move to Roma last week.
Will be in the paper tomorrow apparently.

Believable16 Unbelievable32

What a load of rubbish you are coming out with! Sam Bryam was in pc world at Clifton moor York the other week and my friend who works there said that he asked him about any transfer speculation and he made no comment on it apart from the fact that man city will NOT be his next location

And everyone please stop whinging

Devon

Believable23 Unbelievable3

Hopefully this red bull deal will happen, the club is crying out for it.

Agree3 Disagree0

Real madrid were playing in white at bournemouth last night?

Agree0 Disagree1

Same colours as our new away strip

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats their away kit, their home kit is White and red. As is that of Red Bull Salzburg, RB Leipzig & Red Bull Brasil. They all hace identical badges too! As soon as they get involved with a club they change the clubs name, systematically remove any trace of the clubs individuality, history & soul. I'm gobsmacked that anyone would think 'linking up' with these people would be a good idea. don't get seduced by the idea of their money, they would have no interest in our club other than turning it into a giant advert for their revolting sugar filled drink!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your a glass half empty kinda guy aren't ya!

Agree0 Disagree0

They are not rebranding anything. They might do this if they complete a full takeover but its just investment being spoken about. They will just advertise with stadium and training ground names. don't worry

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not a 'glass half empty guy' I'm a realist and judge people on their words and deeds and in the words of Red Bull themselves "we do not sponsor and never will' (taken from a letter to fans of Salzburg who expressed concern over the their rebranding) They are only 'investors' at Leipzig as German league rules don't allow companies to hold more than 49% in a club, however they still managed to change the name of the club, the club colours & badge to fit their 'brand'. I know we need investment but not at the cost of our heritage (They also told Salzburg fans that the club history was irrelevant) If it's a stadium naming rights only I have no problem with that but history would seem to point to fact that it will not end there

Agree0 Disagree0

But when they took over the MetroStars, they rebranded and kept the history, so nobody knows what they'll do SHOULD this happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if they do agree to acknowledge our history do you want the club to be 'rebranded'? Surely that takes away the clubs identity. I am surprised that any Leeds fan is not worried about the possibility of a 'Red Bull Leeds' franchise with the carbon copy, corporate i'd which has no connection to the city of Leeds. My hope is that there are football league rules limiting how far they can take 'rebranding'. Only time will tell.

Heard from a source at the club that we are offloading both David Norris (Bournemouth) and Danny Pugh (Preston) in order to secure a permanent deal for Matt Mills. This is expected to happen within the next fortnight.

Believable32 Unbelievable9

Graysons a fan of pugh having brought him back here, so could well be something in that, norris ok for a sub/squad player but that's all.

Leigh Griffiths of Wolves chosen for Scotland ahead of Ross McCormack. perplexing

Believable18 Unbelievable3

Leigh Griffiths is quality look at his scoring record. Ross is good don't get me wrong, but their goal scoring records speak for themselves, even if Griffiths was playing up in the scottish league. I'd have him at leeds any day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really bothered re: international call ups, as long as ross is doing well for us then i'm happy.

Agree1 Disagree0

I don't know how miller is in the squad?

Agree0 Disagree0

Griffiths was only scoring because the Scottish league is bad! Mccormack much better and also versatile

Agree0 Disagree0

I can understand that as strikers need to score goals and Ross isn't scoring at all, poor last season and no goals in pre season against poor opp.
We need a 20+ goalscorer, too many forwards that are not strikers.
Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha! I work in Scotland and I know a lot of hibs fans and apparently Leigh is not the talented striker everyone thinks he is and that he couldn't lace Ross's boots. Why do you think he has gone back to a league 1 club and not been signed by a championship club. Plus who is genuinely bothered about a Scotland call up? The scots hate us and I hope on the 14th we give them a proper stuffing
