Former Olympique Lyonnais youngster Sebastien Faure is on trial at Leeds for the time being. He is a centre-back who played in the 2 - 0 victory over Alfreton Town on Saturday night. He was rated as a decent prospect at Lyon and has also represented France at every level up to the U20s even playing in a World Cup semi-final. However he broke his toe in the January of this year and has not played since so Lyon decided to release him from his contract. Personally I think this could be a good move as he has played in the Lyon first team and he is on a free but we shall wait and see.

Could be an awesome signing potentially

Rudolph Austin's team were not willing to let Austin come to Leeds until after another match delaying his move by over a week, but this has been sorted out because Austin got his sixth yellow card in the most recent game giving him a one match ban, that will not carry over into English football, he then went on to score a goal during the rest of the game a superb lob by all accounts even though I have not seen it myself. His current coach was not very pleased with Austin after the game as he thinks he only got himself booked to speed up the transfer to Leeds United?. Looks like the guy really wants to come to Leeds sooner rather than later.

martin

Believable3 Unbelievable15

Blah blah blah same old same old fed up of negatives!! still got a squad still in a better position than many!!happy days ahead...mot....x leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter rubbish.
Everybody knows which land is owned by the Council and any competent person can check this through the Land Registrey.

Agree0 Disagree0

Love this to be true, but I would think that would be relatively simple.

Agree0 Disagree0

Garbage... you mean to tell me that they don't know who owns which bit of land...this is a complete joke poster..

Agree0 Disagree0

100% no chance that someone who works in the shop knows anything about the takeover

Agree0 Disagree0

So Warnock doesnt know what is going on yet nor the players, for example if snoddy knew he would have made a decision on his contract... Yet a guy that works in the shop knows? :s

What takeover? There isn’t one. I’ve heard the investors pulled out a week last Friday due to ownership issues on pretty much everything at Leeds from the car park to the stadium. Everything is registered to different companies (up to about 15 I heard). The due diligence period is over and Bates has apparently granted an extended period to try and get them back into talks.

Believable8 Unbelievable17

Lol another doom merchant. Go on then for humour reasons, what's your source? I think anyone knows the ownership of Elland Rd and Thorp Arch are an issue, but that would not be unknown to purchasers. I would imagine one of the biggest stumbling blocks would be the fact that Bates owned 72% of the club whilst unknown investors from Switzerland own the rest...would you buy 70% of you house and not know who owns the other 30%?

Agree0 Disagree0

If the takeover ad collapsed wy would warnock say that theyve sed his job was safe u no nothing same as the rest ov us so give it a rest n just wait n see

Agree0 Disagree0

If the takeover was off I think something would have leaked out in the press by now pretty much as it does over most transfer deals. The fact is Mr Bates business affairs probably take more fathoming out than anyone else so it just takes a longer period of time unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the second poster has hit the nail on the head for why it is taking so long, but some of what the first guy said is right too, not the bit about the takeover collapsing though.

There were some questionable deals put in place when Bates took Leeds over for the second time, with land and buildings being bought by unknown companies, plus as you said some investment by unknown backers from Switzerland. All this will take time to process and check that everything is above board. The takeover will happen, just that KB has shot himself in the foot if he wanted a quick sale with all his dodgy dealings that need to be checked.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont listen to these persons , takeover is happening ,money already been given to warnock to make these signings, bates is out

Criag Mackail-Smith and Ross McCormack set to swap sides
Jul 22 2012 Sunday Mail

SCOTLAND stars Ross McCormack and Craig Mackail-Smith are being lined up for a swap deal between Leeds and Brighton.

Elland Road boss Neil Warnock wants to snap up Mackail-Smith and is offering McCormack as part of the deal.

But Brighton – who paid Peterborough £3.5million for the 28-year-old hitman – want some cash up front as well.

McCormack, 25, is also a target for Huddersfield and Leeds could choose to cash in on the former Motherwell star instead.

He scored 19 goals for the Elland Road men last season but is now in the last year of his contract and can leave for nothing next summer.

Believable6 Unbelievable9

I believe it was printed, but think it is not going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find the cash adjustment is the other way round. Ross is 3 years younger and has a better goalscoring record

Agree0 Disagree0

No, MacKail is more highly valued. Chapel A

If the supposed take over is anything to do with Bahrian as rumoured its not going to happen the countries on the brink of civil war so the last thing people with money/power are going to be thinking about is buying a football club.

Where is the information about the press conference?
