4 goals this season in real life ( not sure how many he's got on FIFA) every time iv seen him he's been bone idle and garbage so its a no thanks from me!

Agree0 Disagree5

Let's not sign anyone just because they are good on fifa! Isn't that what GFH did hence we got stuck with Stewart?

Agree2 Disagree1

If he can dribble with the ball, he just won't fit into this team or, more likely just won't get the ball.
I've defended BMD. more than prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and been shouted down on here for it, too but. Rudy out on the right wing and Tongue tying to put crosses in from the left.
My faith in McDermott hasn't so much been shaken as ripped up, used as a snot rag and shoved somewhere mighty uncomfortable.
My sincere apologies. I'm big enough to admit I was truly wrong. The man's a buffoon.
Bring me Steve Clarke and throw him a slab of cash. I don't even mind if we have to sell Ross to fund a spending spree but, can we at least have someone in the chair that isn't obsessed with playing defensive centre midfielders all the way across the effing park?
Murphy's attacking threat was easily nullified by just forcing him backwards. Our current players just aren't feared because they couldn't spin past a parked bus, let alone a battle hardened defender at the business end of a long season.
I was wrong. Sorry, all. BMD out.

Agree1 Disagree0

He is ten times better than any player we have
Being criticised though even though he isn't here yet?
Makes me think fans want to continue to sign overrated league one players or past ex premier league players
Players like him would rip the league to bits week in week out

Note to Ed: Tried to register with all my usual passwords but your site will not accept any of them for some unexplained reason?

Very strong rumour from a mate who now lives and works in Miami that Cellino is in advanced talks with his namesake 'Massimo' Carrera who was recently caretaker manager at Juventus but is now apparently just coaching there as the manager of Juventus has returned to his post after being temporarily suspended (nothing to do with tax evasion in relation to a yacht I am reliably assured!)Looks like Cellino is recruiting/trying to recruit a top level Italian coach to work with him before getting any new players in. Not sure if Brian McDermott will be involved if that proves to be the case. It appears that Cellino is not wasting any time even when he is spending time with his family in Miami to unwind following the stresses of his protracted purchase of Leeds United! What a player!

Cant really comment if he's a good player or not as I have NOT seen him play on a regular basis, will reserve judgement if and when he comes.
Im ASSUMING and hoping that people who have commented he's GOOD a player have watched him on a regular basis and are NOT guessing he's good.
From now on if we make signings we want qaulity, people that are proven, hungry and have a footballing brain ;)

Victor Ibarbo has said in an interview that he would not rule out a move to Leeds. 'Leeds? We will see what happens' is what he said

Believable42 Unbelievable9

We have a chance with Cellino having a word in his ear
Financially though I don't know how he could do it . Their fans would be in uproar if we got him for next to nothing or on loan .
We love him here though AND his mates Astori and Adryan

leeds to get Moyes.

Load of rubbish but I could think of a lot worse Manager!!

leeds to get pardew more like when moyes replaces him at newcastle

Agree1 Disagree2

With McDermott moving in the opposite direction to Man U ;)

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd prefer Chris Moyles to David Moyes!

Agree4 Disagree0

Great shout. Great for us and great for him to prove that he is a brilliant manager and Man U panicked

Agree0 Disagree1

Tottenham to get moyes!

Agree1 Disagree1

Apparently cellino wants a new chauffeur.

Agree2 Disagree0

Don't think we'll be getting a big name manager. MC wants a coach, either an Italian like Festa or maybe someone like Ray Wilkins (or both?).

Moyes to Newcastle is a good shout tho.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think he would cost too much to release him from MU, for me DAvid oleary with cellinos backing would be my choice

Mickie

Agree2 Disagree7

I think that would be a challenge he would relish.with the right amount of investment, he could get leeds back to the premiership in 2 years and would probably keep them there aswell instead of being a yoyo club. he's the right man 4 leeds. wudnt stand 4 the rubbish which is being served up now. not going to find much better out there with his experience. b4 cellino. have a look at the names banded about as possible replacements 4 Bmc, some of them laughable compared to Moyes

Agree1 Disagree1

Sherwood for me, unless he gets a PL job. Otherwise Karl Robinson.

Agree3 Disagree5

I'd like to see some football played on the ground, exciting football.
Moyes is therefore not for me.
Its difficult to see who will fit the bill if McD is on his way.
Think we'll have to see what MC has up his sleeve.
Roll on next season!

Agree1 Disagree2

Ed -How come my comment on this topic over an hour earlier was put into banter?
Not bothered by it, just wondering- as I see Rumours as the 'main site' whereas banter is a bit more 'secondary'? Either way, great site- love it- Thanks Ed

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - because it was deemed as something to chat about rather than a rumour mate}

Dont really want at our club

Agree1 Disagree0

Wouldnt mind moyes but would never happen, I still want gus or eddie howe although ray wilkins and tim sherwood would both do decent jobs. watched the game yesterday and brain has to go, no clue with tactics and changes things for no reason then can't put things back. Also I know football is a matter of opinion but whoever put david o'leary is just plain wrong no debate about that, O'leary had a great squad (the best players brought in by howard wilkinson) and great youth players then ruined it by bringing in average to s+++ players. tatics were average at best and I know he says he didn't have say in money but anyone who let's someone pay more than a fiver for seth jonson should be shot also did nothing at other jobs as he was found out wanting. also before someone puts it no to Steve McClown

Agree with you bermondsey I think the guy talking about DOL forgot to sign off properly it should have said mickie taking!

Agree2 Disagree1

Eddie Howe won't leave Bournemouth, but otherwise he would be an ideal candidate. What about Richard Naylor? Has he got his coaching badges? Think he'd be perfect to bring on the youngsters and has the passion and leadership to be a top manager.

Agree0 Disagree2

He did a good job at Everton, ferguson was a hard act to follow.I wouldn't say no

Agree0 Disagree1

Poyet my nailed-on first choice -think he and Cellino would be a match made in heaven with their shared passion. Otherwise, Eddie Howe is a great call. I'd be a bit concerned about Karl Robinson not having managed at this level before -might be a move too soon for him. Wouldn't mind Lambert if he gets relieved of his Villa duties (he has worked well with youth). Hughton has an excellent record at this level. Wilkins is a definite no-go -has failed before (and look at Fulham, where he is now). We could do a lot worse than Moyes -but I suspect a team like Newcastle or Spurs will take him on. He might even prefer Celtic to the Championship as a route to renewing his reputation, given how difficult the Champ is to get out of (the experiences of Erickson & McLaren will act as a warning) Chapel A

Agree2 Disagree0

I would like us to go for Eddie Howe, Steve Clarke Malky Mackay Zola, but the best coach who would come to us is Paul Clement at Real Madrid. He is young hungry and highly thought of. I heard him interviewed and he said he would love a mangers job back in the UK

Agree1 Disagree1

Dan petrescu available good coach better than Moyes

Agree1 Disagree0

The only coach we'll get, will be a clapped out old leyland

Agree0 Disagree1

Moyes's contract expectations prior to his sacking, would have been around the 2.5 million a season, mark.
He inherited a very poor squad, this is true and he didn't get the obvious preferential treatment from referees that Ferguson could guarantee but, it was perhaps telling that Leighton Baines didn't want to follow him to Man U at any price.
He'll be on gardening leave for a while until the severance is worked out for his 6 year contract so, there's genuinely no point anyone posting guff about Moyes to Leeds. It's just not going to happen unless he takes a massive pay cut.

Agree1 Disagree0

Moyes to Leeds?
Have you lot not been paying attention . Leeds signed Moyes exactly a year ago and sent him out undercover on a secret mission to destroy them lot across the Pennines, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED DAVID, now onto your next mission GO TO CHELSEA and do it again

Agree1 Disagree0

no manager goes from managing chelsea liverpool arsenal or spurs to Leeds (in their current state)

Agree1 Disagree1

I have said this after Grayson left and I still think kenny jackett would be great- proved it this season too. Think he too loyal to leave wolves but his sides are tough to beat and he never had money really

Agree2 Disagree0

Agree with teeth and ghave also said jacket before, did wonders with millwall with no youth or money now look at wolves, would do great job at leeds if not think wolves will be real force this season or next

Agree2 Disagree0

I like eddie howe but if I remember he went back to Bournemouth due to family issues. I don't think they could settle up north so i'd doubt he'd come. I like the idea of poyet. Maybe get his son. Good young prospect. i'd like a team who play attractive football.

Cellino to sit down with McDermott this week to discuss summer targets apparently

Personally I hope massimo tells Brian he won't be in charge next season as his signings for us so far have been abysmal! He never changes formation or tactics he's your real life mike basset.

Bring in festa I say, he was a top defender in his day and knows English football well and he can't do any worse than mcdonut

Also if I had my way the whole squad will be gone apart from Ross who has shown passion this season, I know it's his first good season but this is the first time he's been played in his natural position instead of on the wing!
Build a team around Ross and use him as the spine of the squad!

Cheers DM

Believable27 Unbelievable30

Totally agree, new manager new team keep Ross & Matt Smith he's a real handful, we dominated when he came on against Forest, but rest of them can willingly go, but who the hell would want them? The likes of Hunt, Stewart ( the worst player ever to wear the shirt) Diouf, Brown, Tonge, Wootton, Zaliukas, Kenny, Lees, Drury, White, over rated Byram, Pugh, the list goes on.WHO Would want this list of deadwood???

Agree6 Disagree1

Totally agree.!

Just a one question. Where are the Taylor Twins and Zak Thompson?

BeestonWhiteBlue&Gold

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't let McDo anywhere near next season's budget - Massimo - get rid now - no idea either on tactics, just stands there bleating all the excuses & arms folded on match days - absolutely no motivator - spare us all more misery & sack him

Agree2 Disagree0

Are they not out on loan mate?

Agree1 Disagree0

Think murphy, mowet, pearce and lees could all stay in a you will do capacity but not really as out and out 1st teamers. Brian has to go, imagine this as a headline leeds get 20 million war chest then they let brian spend it?!?!

Agree1 Disagree0

FYA. Bermondsey White!

TOM LEES!. Cannot read a game, Cannot defend, Slow as a boat horse. However he can hoof a ball up the field to the opposition. And gets a start every time. He’s one of the first I’d ship out.

BeestonWhiteBlue&Gold

Agree3 Disagree1

Ross not that good last 6 games done nothing 2 missed penalties as for the rest rubbish 4 players saturday over 30 good way forward hence no pace the player get ball pass then stand still like there job done or its a big boot up field the back like lees and pearce stop on halfway line what been told not to cross unless corner

Agree2 Disagree0

I think Tom Lees is the perfect example of someone who's had their talent and confidence coached out of them by the Warlord. Under Grayson, he was looking like future captain material and played for England u21s. I think under a passing manager, he will get better.

Agree1 Disagree2

SG90.

. Come on. No Excuse. However, he’s only on approx. £15.000 per week. What can you expect.

BeestonWhiteBlue&Gold

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with the last point about Lees -under the right manager, he has potential to improve again. I would put the consistently mis-managed White in the same category.

My keeps would be Mac, Pearce, Byram (the big 3); and I would also give Mowatt, Murphy, Smith, Lees, White & Dawson the chance to prove themselves under better management. The rest can go. Chapel A

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree Sir build the team around Ros but the only others I would keep are Murphy Byram who hasn't been fit this season Mowatt and maybe Smith as an option from the bench. I just hope BMD brings in Quality not players like Strwart or Wotton. MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Do not disagree with lees and can see why people say keep and get rid, I would give him half a chance at center back but with cover as for me jury is out so can see what beeston is saying

Agree1 Disagree0

Tom Lees only player I have seen with a threeepenny bit head as well as threepenny bit feet.

McCormack will shun Premier League offers to stay at Leeds on the other hand Sam Byram will be heading to Leicester in the summer but I'm sure Cellino will line up an adequate replacement.

Brian McDermott will be relieved of his duties by Cellino as soon as the seasons over because Cellino wants a coach, rumoured to be Gianluca Festa a former Inter Milan, Middlesbough and Portsmouth player who is currently manager of Italian club Lumezzane and used to be the assistant manager at Cellino owned Cagliari.

Cellino promises Leeds promotion to the Premier League in just two seasons, so good times ahead.

MOT!

Believable10 Unbelievable41

{Ed001's Note - you need to register mate.}

McCormack looks as if he will stay if Cellino gives him another (better) contract. It looks as if he is angling for a pay rise which I suppose he can ask for on merit this season as it's him who has kept us up.

As for Byram, yes he is a good and up and coming player but he is not irreplacebale and has not had a good season and I would personally take £x million fo him.

Agree1 Disagree2

Ross and Murphy in Halo last night, Ross saying he wants to stay but Cellino is showing him the door

Agree0 Disagree5

Why two years each year it gets harder with clubs coming down

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Pearce's commitment this season cannot be questioned either. And Byram has never let us down, even when not fully fit -I would go out of my way to keep him for as long as we can. Chapel A
