The FL can't block this takeover for many reasons but the main one is there is an appeal ongoing if MC wins that appeal they are liable to be sued by MC'S lawyers if they reject him!

That's a very good point and the fl would look very bad if mc does win the appeal and could lose a fortune if they reject him

The FL can most certainly block the TO. The appeal has nothing to do with it. Nor does the impending cases involving the Italian for other monetery offences.

Can they postpone their decision(10 days notice)until his appeal is lost/won.
So they delay the T.O even further!

Can they do this and keep Massimo waiting?!!

But they could delay it until the appeal is heard which could take upto 1 year

He was found guilty! There is sufficient evidence for the FL to question whether Cellino is fit and proper. I doubt Cellino could successfully challenge the FL if they rule against him, and would he want the bother in a year's time?

So what's happening then thought we were getting an answer off the fl today regarding the takeover?

Found guilty but with a right to appeal, so in the eyes of the law, still innocent. If he wins an appeal, by what the last post says, he's still guilty. Fact is no he's not

What the FL might do is just sit back and wait for the appeal to finish because leeds can't last that long with the current owners so gfh would be forced to cancel takeover themselves and try find another buyer . FL have got us backed in a corner and there's not much leeds can do

Would be just like them to do that to us, first say decision within ten days, then do a u turn and wait for appeal to finish, well spotted above poster!

Fact is he is now guilty unless he wins an appeal. An appeal must be lodged within 90 days and the appeal itself can take twelve months to arrive in court. Just pointless in blindly beleiving Cellino will be approved. The man is a proven crook. Move on for goodness sake. there is no chancehe can be approved by the FL.f

Wow the last two answers actually have some common sense in them. If the FL say yes Cellino can takeover now and then in a years time he is still found guilty then we have a convicted tax evader in charge and there is nothing anyone can do about it. One of the earlier post said he is guilty with the chance to appeal so is still innocent at the moment. Look at this another way if someone was found guilty of taking pictures of kids, would you leave them in charge of the your children till their appeal was heard, by your logic they are still innocent so they aren't a danger. After the first decision he is guilty until he can prove himself innocent

Yes I agree he is convicted and guilty. There are lots of people in prison who say they are innocent, but they are not let out pending an appeal. Once found guilty they are guilty and Cellino is.

Food for thought.What makes everyone think the fans will be the first to know??Surely there will be an announcement to the stock exchange or the bourse by GFH which is how we will get to know about any decision.

Apparently the club are demanding an answer today on the take over. Have the F L ever done anything in our favour in the past.

Can't help but think we've shot ourselves in the foot here. I have thought all along that league are trying their best to pass MC, but this might force their hand to say no. Hmmmm, let's see.

They need to know whos going to pay this months wages; Cellino or Pounds2Pocket. Joking aside it could mean that they have another buyer waiting in the wings

The FL have done nothing wrong. They didn't ask GFH to do business with someone shady. We want the correct decision for the long term. Demanding the outcome today is absurd, since the FL are due to give a decision within a week by their own deadline. GFH are a joke. The big question is why is buying a club like Leeds less attractive for higher calibre buyers than some of the other clubs that have been sold recently? It suggests that better buyers detect something fishy or overcomplicated.

This is a bad sign, gfh demanding an answer from the FL by the end of the day, they are starting to flapp and it's all their own doing iff you ask me, what a mess they have got us into probs no money to pay our players and staff!

GFH are panicking because they do not want to pick up any more bills. they are a bunch of chancers who never should have bought us in the first place.

They said 10 days a week ago. 10 days is Sunday. I could understand if they had gone 10 days without response, but this is all al little silly if you ask me.

Dont do anything to aggravate the FL if you ask me!

I think the reason that quality buyers are not interested in Leeds is that;
We don't own our ground
We don't own the training pitch
We are paying high rent for the ground and training pitch
We have sold revenue from future season ticket sales
We are at least £20m in debt with high interests rates being paid on that debt
We are losing £1m each month.

Sounds about right, for all those "master bates" supporters, please read the above, I rent a house atm but i'm going to spend 25k this summer improving it, just so it looks nice and I will and hope the landlord "who I don't know who it is, or who we actually know who gets the rent? because its a bank, hmmm where I bank off shore too but don't know then?" approves
