It would now seem that GFH are NOT looking to sell Leeds in it's entirety, but to invite additional investment - same as it ever was?

Seems a lot of people have jumped to the wrong conclusion here?

Thing is this was stated when they released there records in jan, leeds were "held for sale" but its only because its an investment not like when they buy a bank. Too many conspiracy theories in this club, I hope they prove us all wrong and show there intent shortly

GFH have always been looking for investment, but I think they would sell a controlling share if the right kind of offer was made. I think the'd happily sell a 30% share for £10 - £15 million, to put towards wages and transfers for next season.

Agree0 Disagree1

No doubt they would sell if an offer came in that gave them a profit. After all their business is to make a profit

The Middle Eastern owner of Leeds United has signalled that it is in talks to sell the former English Premier League soccer club it bought only in December.

Dubai-based GFH Capital purchased the club from majority shareholder Ken Bates at the end of last year after negotiations that lasted for several months.

GFH Capital board member Salem Patel told a news conference at the time that it would not spend "crazy money" to restore the Championship (second division) club to the elite Premier League.

Accounts published last month by GFH Capital's parent, Bahrain firm Gulf Finance House show that the new owner is preparing a swift exit.

Lets hope this time we get owners who genuinely care about the club and will spend money, not just want to make money. I feel sorry for Neil Warnock, working under owners who don't have the club's welfare at heart

Agree0 Disagree0

Spent more time in negotiations than they did actually owning the club. Farcical

Why is everyone getting excited about this rumour now? The accounts were published on 21. 02. 13 and I believe GFH said they wanted to attract investment then.
The only way to make sure our club remains stable is to support it ourselves by buying season tickets and other items. We will get the strength of team we deserve and not on the back of someone with (or without) money who sees Leeds United as their latest toy

Agree1 Disagree0

If this doesn't tell all those bates supporters that he truly is a rogue then I don't know what will, remember all the statements while the neogitaions were going on, we need to make sure the new owners have got the long term interests of LUFC at heart. etc etc. yeah did a great job there didn't you Bates. All along you were talking to them aboiut how they and you can make a quick buck. please leave our club now BATES!

Agree1 Disagree1

To the third poster, in Feb GFH were looking for investment, now they are looking to sell up, that's the difference. I posted some months ago now that GFH were actually looking for a quick turnaround and making a fast buck, this is why I believe the FA should put a stop to this practise, any monies that were put into the club will be leaving when GFH leave, this is not good for a club or English football in general, we as a club shouldn't be here for companies to line the fat cats pockets or just a plaything for the filthy rich.

Agree0 Disagree0

I will always admit when i'm wrong and it seems I might of been a bit hasty with my earlier comment, I will take GFH's word and trust them with our great club. That's my problem, always a little premature.

They have got rid of a barrier to selling - Bates, so they feel they can create more of a seller's market for the club.
Also, according to GFH, they are not desparate to as Bates was, so can hold out for a better price.

Agree1 Disagree0

Im glad, let's get owners who want to invest in team, take leeds forward

Agree0 Disagree0

To 2nd poster. Yeah fair point forgot about that

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not fuming mate. This as Bates wrote allover it.

New owners with KB out of our club, the fans will come back and we can all MOT.

Agree0 Disagree0

So poss leicester, middlesborough, blackburn, reading along with prob a few more and leeds all competing for the best managers available. If it comes down to money expect leeds to end up with mark hughes hairstylist! Futures bright lads

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Think you'll find we'll have to sell the club yet again before we get any new manager or players.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest i'd rather have the hairstylist than Mark Hughes, he's an absolute diamond with those curls.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes but he's crepe with the Grecian 2000!

Davo

Agree0 Disagree0

Well competing with blackburn won't be hard, they're near the bottom of the league and they sack there manager every 4 games so why would any manager in their right mind go to a club that have done that to previous managers.
