Last week Leeds made an enquiry for 22 year old Brentford winger Harry Forrester. The players current deal with Brentford expires at the end of June. Brentford are reportedly going to hold talks with Forrester this week regarding a new deal however a deal looks very unlikely as the player feels he can take the step up. The highly rated wingers situation is being monitored closely by Leeds and Ipswich and if the player were to leave, the club would only have to pay compensation.

These are the type of signings we should be aiming for young and hungry players with the ability to improve.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 year old and a winger. sounds good to me

Agree1 Disagree0

As much as I do rate the lad and would like him at ER, I live in Ipswich and heard strong rumours McCarthy is taking him there. Hope I'm wrong lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldn't have to pay anything actually because he is an ex Chelsea youth team player and was released. So in essence this is a load of garbage.

Durham white

Agree0 Disagree1

Ex Aston Villa actually

Agree0 Disagree0

You may not believe it but I got talking to a Leeds scout at a Brentford match in Feb/March time and he said he'd been sent to look at Forrester - who only came on as a sub second half - crowd (such as it was at brentford!) chanted his name and he looked fast but that's all I know

Agree0 Disagree0

If Leeds made an enquiry it was to his agent because the lad is out of contract and not likely to play for the Bees next season

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right, we are also signing Beckford on loan along with Becciho, Robinson, Woodgate and Howson!

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry Forrester is now a Doncaster Rovers player.

As regulars on here know, I predicted the Matt Smith transfer long before it happened as I have good contacts from within the club. I also have just been given some news today on the next transfer. Leeds United FC are lining up and hoping to complete a deal for ex England and Leeds Goal Keeper Paul Robinson to replace the departing Paddy Kenny. MOT.

Believable50 Unbelievable69

Yes you have fantastic contacts inside the club. On the 4th June you posted that Leeds were discussing terms with Johnny Russell and he would be signing. (gone to Derby I think)

On the 6th June we were ready to announce Jermaine Pennant (signed a deal with Stoke City)

With contacts like that mate you might want to forget the Paul Robinson deal.

Agree7 Disagree0

Aren't you getting confused with your prediction that Alan Smith was coming back as player/coach in April? I can only remember one person predicting Matt Smith and I can't see that predition in your history.

Berty

Agree1 Disagree0

Isnt he out injured till october?

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing Paul Robinson would not be a good move for the club in my opinion. Nigel Martyn was a world class keeper and after his departure I thought Robinson looked short of agility and fitness in comparison. He will occasionally make a great save (as all keepers do), but his positioning is poor and he's always looked a couple of stone too heavy!
I'd much rather see us give a chance to a young promising talent or if we do go with experience then choose someone with proven class. like Mark Schwarzer.

Not sure on this one but Paul still lives closeby in North Yorkshire so I'm sure it would suit him. Less travelling and a return to a club he loves.

Agree0 Disagree1

Don't see this happening. Pure speculation.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hes out injured for at least 6 months so he'd be an unlikely signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh no not you again. didn't you also say recently that Titus Bramble, Jemaine Pennant and Matt Killgallon were also siging? Should we expect more rubbish from you IMMINENTLY?

Agree6 Disagree0

Just like you said Titus Bramble was joining?

Agree5 Disagree1

That would be a great signing!

BUT.
Isn't he trying to get over a major health issue (think it was a blood clot)

Agree4 Disagree0

He had an operation in April, will be out untill at least october, not worth the risk in bringing him in now.

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I know, Paul Robinson is still recovering from a pulmonary embolism

Agree0 Disagree0

Just checked your previous posts and you have predicted nothing about Matt Smith

Agree1 Disagree0

Could be true Ashe loves the club. The game against Blackburn at the start of the season showed it when he went round clapping the Leeds fans and hitting the crest after he swapped shirts with paddy kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Injured and out for a while, why don't you list all the players you were wrong about and add this one to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon your contact's pulling your leg mate, either that or he's imaginary. Why in hells name would we sign Robinson now, the poor guy ain't well enough to play for a long time.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you predict enough events then one will probably come true?

. keep predicting, this one won't!

Agree0 Disagree0

Robinson no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol school boy error, if you have contacts within the club why would you predict? lol

Agree0 Disagree0

No I was the one that said it before anyone when smith rejected a new contract from oldham

Agree0 Disagree0

Make your mind up, is it Fielding or Robinson to replace Kenny, oh yea, neither, muppet

Arsenal have made a bid for Sam Byram believed to be in the region of 12m.

Believable33 Unbelievable88

As much as he is a great prospect and would give off the wrong signal ( Selling Club ), we would have to accept this but don't believe Arsenal or anyone would make such a big offer!

LUFC KEK

Agree2 Disagree0

Spending 12m on a right back would give Wenger a heart attack!

Agree3 Disagree0

Just hope this isn't the way Shaun Harvey and David Haigh will be looking at financing BMD's transfer targets.

Agree1 Disagree2

Would be expensive for Wenger but he wants someone to fight Sagna for first team spot that isn't going to expect first team football straight away. He see's him as his replacement for the following year as he knows Sagna isn't a reliable option. Will also help his English contingent

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was / is £12m that would mean that we'd get a lump sum upfront of say £4m (reasonable) the rest would be paid over 3-4 yeras term. For £4m or so upfront really doesn't mean we could bring in a great deal of quality as that would have to fund the players fee, wages, agent fee etc

So does it make sense to sell our prise assett. ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would snap their hands off - the kid is good but a full back is not going to win us the title: also it's a hell of a lot of money for one good season. Need the funds to buy mid field & strikers who can get us up

Agree0 Disagree0

As good as Byram is I can't see any prem club spending £12m on a unproven premiership player. Zaha went to 'that lot' for £10m and to be fair that's an expensive gamble. I do genuinely believe Byram will give us another season. If he plays as well next season and we don't go up then he's as good as gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Would bite arm off for that and I hate arsenal almost as much as I love leeds but anything over 5 m would be great butvess for an ok player who stood out in a average team. Byron is not that great from what I seen

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is worth 12 million now, surely letting him develop one more year at lufc would boost his value even further?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would happily sell byram for 12m he's not work that much however the money wouldn't be spent on new players which is why I would rather keep hold of him see if he has another great season

Agree0 Disagree0

In response to the guy who says that he can't see any club spending £12m on an unproven Championship player. I agree 110% but Arsenal have a history of spending big money on Championship players. Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain 2 examples so you never can tell what is true and false with rumours like this.

If it is true and they have bid £12m I would personally sell now and have part of the deal him staying next season on loan. then pumping £12m into our team to get us promoted to the Premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

Take the money not even worth half that

Agree0 Disagree0

£12m up front plus add-ons, e. g. international appearances at any level would be a good deal. anything less, take a run at yourself Arsene and your beloved Arsenal and be prepared to pay double that if he has another good season and LUFC don't make The Premiership. if they do, then simply forget it.

JDC

Agree0 Disagree0

Would have no qualms with him going if we got 10-12 mil, even better if we could get him back on loan for the up coming season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt it they won't pay 10 million for williams so why 12 million for Byram

Agree0 Disagree0

For evryone moaning about selling byram for 12m you need your heads checked. 12m for an acadamy kid that got a year in the championship would be an unbelievable bit of business. Unfortunitly i'd guess the post is complete BS. But if it were true. Imagine what 12m would do for our squad! C'mon there's only so much influence a 19year old right back can have on a game. 3-5 m spent on a midfield general would serve us a lot better and still leave a lot of change.

Eirewhite

Agree0 Disagree0

No they haven't

Agree0 Disagree0

£12m? Who made that up? For a start he's worth about £2m at best, and secondly, Arsenal have got Carl Jenkinson as a long term solution to Sagna.

Leeds have made a loan offer for Danny Graham from Sunderland. Having failed to impress boss Paolo Di Canio since he took charge Danny Graham has been under the spotlight with a potential loan deal being his escape route.

Believable30 Unbelievable69

Not going to happen he is staying at Sunderland at least for the near future. Sunderland are already short of strikers and with Wickham looking very likely to be going out on loan they will be keeping Graham unless they suddenly get 2-3 new strikers at the club which I doubt will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh my god not Danny graham, we had him once and he was worse than barn door billy. don't want him back even if he pays us to play

Agree0 Disagree0

Graham should have stayed at Swansea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't he gone hull?
