Leeds have been unable to agree a contract extension for Diouf. Other championship clubs are waiting in the wings. Sad state of affairs really and a blow but if we cant agree a long term deal for him we need to get some pace in the side.

So you don't think that it is his agent playing silly buggers to get him what he wants.

It's only the first contract he's rejected, I'm pretty sure that talks will continue.

Don't think we can really afford to lose him at the moment, but hopefully Ryan Hall will prove his worth.

Our best player by a country mile.
If we cant keep him happy with a decent contract , who are we going to sign ?

If we lose EHD - it will be a crime!

According to the alleged rumour Diouf took a massive wage cut to join us!! Does this mean he is paying LUFC to play for them as he was only on £2000 a week at Doncaster last season!

Diof is currently on £5000 a week. He wants this to increase to match his worth. This would still not make him the top wage earner (becchio brown £15000 a week). It is believed diof is looking for around £8/10000 a week. Maybe even as low as £6000 with big bonuses for goals matchs etc {Ed013's Note - Brown is not on 15 grand a week!!! Im also told that Ross is the highest paid player}

Didn't Diouf's agent say something similar last month. I doubt there have even been any negotiations.

So, takeover happening, plenty of money in the wings? But again we give our best player by a country mile a derisory contract offer and let him go elsewhere. What the hell is going on? It all points to Bates staying put.... {Ed013's Note - Its early stages, Leeds have learnt from going in with an outrageous offer to start with. I expect he will get a better offer soon. He has already said that he doesn't want to be the highest paid, just better paid}

Its Willy McKay playing his games, leaking confidential information so it alerts others. The management at leeds are not daft they know he is a valuable assett so i am sure he will be signed over the course of the next few weeks

He's going to want an increase to match the money he missed out on by taking just 1000 a week the last few months, and i can't blame him.

That guy who posted Brown is on 15K. Well reported that his wage offer was halved this summer. And he wasnt even on 15k before that. Wasnt Snodgrass offered 15K a that would have made him the highest earner at the club. Do the math.

Remember what NW said about EHD's agent. He's full of it. Plays games. It's all just to stir the pot and get as much as he can.

Warnock told the YEP Diouf has turned down the contract. Ridiculous state of affairs, and I for one blame Warnock, who has been blabbing on about what a wonderful man in the changing room and on the training ground Diouf is - clearly this doesn't help.

Let's keep perspective. If this ruddy takeover FINALLY goes through then we won't have to worry - I'm sure Diouf will stay.

Not what ive just read, although he's rejected the first offer, warnock has been promised he has money to spend in january on whoever he wants within reason, and so warnock will want diouf tied down first !

Diouf will be sorted. Is just a case of his agent and the press playing silly buggers

His agent is just trying to drum up other ridiculous offers and alert other clubs. So many agents are not representing their players properly, just look at how Beckfords agent messed things up for him when we transfer listed him.
