LEEDS United boss Simon Grayson is intensifying his efforts to bring in new recruits for Saturday's home derby with Doncaster and has been linked with a move for Birmingham City's highly-rated teenage midfielder Jordon Mutch.

Leeds linked with Barry Bannan (D Mirror) and also Jordon Mutch (Brum) who recently had a succesdful spell on loan with Watford. BUT we don't need more youngsters in midfield, we need a big, strong, ugly experienced defensive midfielder to protect the back four, can read the opponents game and willing to put his foot / head / body in the way, e.g.Younes Kaboul (Spurs) isn't getting many games, and he fits the bill

Leeds want Aston Villa's talented midfielder Barry Bannan to lead their bid for a Premier League return, reports Mirror Football.
Simon Grayson is keen to take the Scot on loan for the rest of the season, with the 21-year-old struggling for first-team action at Villa Park.
Bannan is hoping for a FA Cup recall against Manchester City tomorrow, but should Villa be knocked out, a switch to Elland Road would certainly appeal to the youngster.
