Been told now that finances have been given to BMD, he will look further into a deal which will bring Gary Mackay-Steven to Elland Road. Would be a great signing
Believable10
Unbelievable22
Would be great but we've signed 1 player which as cost a million doesn't mean they will spend any more big money if they do than great if they don't atleast we signed 1 decent player. MOT
Agree1

So hope this is true!
Agree1
Disagree0
God please he would be a fantastic signing just the type of player to get the crowd excited
Agree0
Disagree0
Vastly overrated player, GMS should stand for "Give Me Strength". A few showy tricks, with very little end product in a league bereft of real quality. If you want any further proof, I give you two words of warning, "David Goodwillie".
Agree0
Disagree0
This lad is terrible. he's got a few tricks but he's hardly set that league on fire and that league is a worse league than the championship so he would just fail
Agree1

Heard about this rumour alot, hopefully BmD can pull it off! Quality young player and apparantley fancies a move to the mighty whites!

I worked at a youth football tournament in Sutton at the weekend, a Leeds scout was there and I pestered him for info (tried to bribe him with coffee and a bacon butty). He wouldn't spill any beans but when I started reeling names off he grinned when I mentioned Reece warbara. Might be nothing but thought I would share.
Believable21

Did he announce himself as a Leeds scout? Or did you recognise him from the club website page I. e our scouts

gradel and matt mills in talks with leeds
gradel 3.8 mill
matt mills 500k
noel hunt free
luke murphy 1 mill
great week mot
Believable27
Unbelievable71
Let's not get carried away. As much as I'd love Gradel to come back, I can't see it. Especially at that ridiculous price!
Agree3

There is no Gradel deal at all and Mills will join on loan if he comes at all (which I sincerely hope he does)
Mr Happy
Agree1
Disagree0
How much did we actually get for gradel? was it ever disclosed?
Agree0
Disagree0
Love to see gradel back but not at 3.8m. what would his wages be at that price.
Agree0
Disagree0
Matt Mills I would sign, solid defender and would do very well with Lees. I agree that Noel Hunt will join but I hope not maybe Kevin Doyle would be a much better option.
Hopefully we will now sign another goalkeeper and a pacey, skillful winger. Adomah, Gradel would be perfect.
Agree1
Disagree0
Deluded! £3.8 million for Gradel. Your off your rocker mate. There are better players out there for a fraction of this. Post something that is remotely true or accurate.

i previously replied to the Gradel rumours having spoken to the Chief scout of the Mags who was looking at some other player. he said that Gradel was so much improved as a player, cutting defenses to ribbons. I think he is out of our league (sadly),

Luke Murphy on board. Our first £1m signing for years. No more Bates. More quality signings on the way. How does it get any better than this.

It's upsetting after many a year of Alan Smith being seen in the car park that he hasn't been seen this time. Come on guys, let's bring back the Alan Smith rumours lol.
Agree1

I seem to remember price for Gradel was around £2. 25m but we only got £1. 75m of it because of sell on fee paid to Leicester and fees paid to football league
Agree0
Disagree1
Gradel is now 2 good 4 us and that price is about right for him tbh. he's another level above the championship now
Agree1
Disagree0
Total fan fantasy, no way have we got £3.8m to spend on a single player. Mills would be a stretch as well, though loan remains a possibility. A seriously deluded post.

Agree0

Norris wnt b going anywhere, he's been 1 of our best players
Agree1
Disagree0
I agree think norris deserves at least another season at the club to see what he can do
Agree1
Disagree0
Id definitely get rid of tonge, drury, brown, ashdown and kenny and maybe austin unless he actually does his job and passes as he's a good ball winner but fed up of his long range shots every game go miles wide, but it would b a shame as he's good in other ways but just needs to pass a lot more. I think we should keep white or sell for 1 mill plus and then buy 4 or 5 players and then i'd b happy but whatever you do leeds dnt sell ross he's clerly been our best player in the last 2 years and with a better mid he will get back 2 his scoring ways
Agree0

Norris is ok as a sub and squad player, as for tonge if we have the chance to get rid let's hope there are intrested clubs, his best days are long gone.

As you will see below, I "called" this over a month ago ;-)
29 May 2013 21:34:52
Looks like we could be having a new third kit guys!
Its still black. But it has a yellow stripe start on the right shoulder going out into a v-shape to come back in to the right hip. The material inside of the yellow V is green. Its mainly lycra, and has the typical keeps-you-warm-in-the-cold properties.
The pitch entry music is also changing to "I can see clearly now the rain has gone".
This is all subject to us signing Chris Humphrey and re-signing Jermaine Beckford, both of whom will, as Rodolph Austin has, be given a bobsleigh as their mode of transport!

Disagree, play football to the feet using good wingers who can put ball in to net, with Luke murphy breaking to latch on to the defended ball. Need a good towering centre back to defend all the other hoof ball teams with quality of lees next to him BMc knows what he is doing. I see leeds playing 3 at back with two wing backs White and Byram, Austin and green, murphy playing just behind McCormack and smith for the crosses knocked back or forward. I think is frills come just need a keeper, as I do not rate Kenny any more. Just an opinion, we got remember we all leeds, let's be positive

You don't need tall defenders and midfielders to play hoof ball. and a tall striker doesn't necessarily mean we will play hoof ball either. Peter crouch is pretty decent with the ball at feet for a 6 ft 7 guy

I work in Qatar and yes, you won't believe me blah dee blah dee blah, but the consensus over here is that Nooruddin (new chairman) is close to some wealthy men in Doha and that he promised to "bail out" GFH with finances for some strong new signings in return for the chairman's seat at ER.
He gets the job, we sign a player for a million quid. Looks like the consensus is correct.

We are currently in the process of a MAJOR shareholder coming on board if I said who it was this post would be ignored. A cash injection of around 4.8 million has been made available to sign players. Hopefully Brian's principle targets Kevin Mchattie, Matt Mills, Gary Mackay-Steven, Tommy Rowe, James Vaughan and Nahki Wells will now choose Leeds, there is a lot of interest in these players but we will now be very competitive for their signatures.

The un-named club in for Adomah is now named as Wigan, they had 2 bids turned down. Would love to see someone like Adomah but we can't compete with Wigan for cash although I didn't think we could compete with anyone when it came to actual £ sterling.
Agree0
Disagree0
Mills and Fryatt in the frame? Why, what are they accused of?
Yes, we do need two strikers. one with serious pace and an experienced backup.
We have a big lump CF in Smith, a skilful striker in McCormack and a hungry young player in Poleon.
To complement that, we need a pacey striker and an experienced utility forward as backup. Noel Hunt fits that bill nicely.
BMD knows what he's doing so I expect Noel Hunt and either a pacey striker to come in or an attacking mid/forward who can play on the wing or up front.

I'm hearing that there is a huge press conference for Leeds tomorrow. Big news on new Chairman, Investment and transfers. Salem Patel has tweeted tonight for the first time in months. Journalists are a buzz with rumours of Leeds saying "big week of news for the club". I'm praying that this is correct and that we actually have something to drown out the noise from all the negativity. I'm excited by next season and I purchased my first ever season ticket a few weeks ago. I live 85 miles away from Elland Road and work 50-55 hours in retail every week. So it was a huge decision to buy my season ticket and a hell of a lot of travelling. MOT LUFC!!

Great post mate. You are just the type of supporter we need. I also am excited about the new season ans although I live and work in SE Asia I have bought my membership and will travel home for as many games as I can. The owner of my Bar over here is also a Leeds Supporter and shows every Leeds televised game. So anyone over here in Pattaya on holiday, you are welcome at the I Rover Bar LK Metro Pattaya. A big Leeds support over here ( not a big club anymore ) Joke.
