I posted on this page two weeks ago and now imam going to say exactly the same thing. How come we play sensible passing football playing away from home yet when were at home we appear to have only one play. Lonnergan collects the ball that he never releases quickly allowing the opposing team to get back and in position then kicks the ball long hoping Bechio to knock it on to McCormack who is never in the right position to collect it, and thet repeat that and repeat it, and honestly can understand why it doesn't work probably because the opposing players know exactly what's going to happen and van easily defend it. WTF is going on. If I can see it stood in the stands if your on the pitch you must laugh yourself silly at us............here's a clue watch Swansea and copy if you have no bloody invention of your own.

For some reason yesterday only Robinson wanted the ball when Lonnergan was in possession, and 9 times out of 10 he hit it long.Maybe something to do with the poor C/Hs in front of him.your right though it only seems to happen at Elland Road.

Saturdays performance was very very poor.
we looked like a league 1 side again, possibly league 2 side.
even teams in these leagues play football starting at the back. all we are doing in punting it forward is giving possession away and the visiting team knows this and defend against it very well, especially a side like watford. why doesnt warnock take a seat in the west stand so he can see a proper view and get a better idea of the the game. we missed odea on saturday, but we also did not use snodders and aidy white enough out on the wings. but both of these players, when they get the ball, want to come in wards, and not get the the byline to cross for becchio+ross mc. when they come back in to the centre rather than go for the byline we crowd the middle of the park and we get tackled and lose possession as we are pushing up. we lose possession, we get caught on the break and the rest is history. we need two descent wingers who get to the byline and cross the ball. did not help on saturday that brown and clayton did not turn up, cos if they do not turn up, we lose our grip on the game, putting even more pressure on our depleted defence!!

We need a big nasty centre half with pace and and general in midfield ,we are far too nice as a team ,we were called dirty leeds for a reason

Agree0 Disagree0

Watford bullied us in every area of the pitch. They were far stronger than us to a man - we looked liked the local 13 year-old chavs taking on the nightclub bouncers.

Snodgrass - Captain. Indispensable.

Clayton, McCormack, - Good first teamers. keep.

Lonergan, Becchio - lacking in real quality, but would make reliable subs. keep.

Lees, White - not starting XI level players yet, but promising. keep.

O'Dea - worth signing as an option. keep.

The Rest - (not counting youth players) sell to the highest bidder.

Now that's a lot of dead wood to shift, and replace. next season won't be much different i reckon.

I don't think White is good enough for us, his performances seem to be deteriorating.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your having a joke mate. Becchio and Lonners are as good as McCormack and Clayton. Nunez and Somma are also good players that seem to have gotten lost in the shuffle in Graysons mismanagment of the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good post ... It's not rocket science but I think snoddy, McCormack, white and clayton will be off!

Agree0 Disagree0

OP. yes probably harsh on Somma since he hasn't had any input this season. although look how the injury affected Paddy. and Nunez has flashes of ability, but isn't intelligent with the ball and doesn't look strong enough for English football. let's face it the squad needs an overhaul and the ones i mentioned are the only players worthy of a Premier League aspiring team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snoddy is one our better players. Is he indispensible? Definitely not. I have seen all of our home games and most of the away ones. He has his good moments which fans remember but there are too many poor games when his lack of pace, defensive frailties and lack of vision let him down. He can also miss some sitters (see Watford). NB. He scored at Middlesborough with a scuffed shot helped by a goal keeping error. He can look very good at times in a poor team because his good spells put the other very average players in the shade. He also could do ok in a good team because the workload could be shared and he wouldn't be expected to carry the team. All in all would not want him to go and he was part of a much stronger team if Warnock can bring players in but if several million came in and was invested on more, better, players, and not hotels, it might not be as disasterous as it might seem at first. Lots of 'ifs and buts' Warnock is paid to make the decisions. I hope he can influence KB then bring in much better quality than Grayson managed to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Snodgrass is without doubt our best player. i agree he puts other players in the shade when he plays well, and with better players around him he would look even better. if warnock can land a (big) handful of good players next year, snoddy will catch the eye even more

Agree0 Disagree0

Warnock needs a star captain and snodgrass is the man. He had taarabt last year and will have snodgrass this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree - the times Snodgrass looks good are when everyone else in the team are actually doing their jobs. He looks weak when he has to do everything for him. If he was in a better team, where every player around him was consistently doing what they should be, there is no reason why he can't go far in the Premiership (and hopefully with us).

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccormack as been alot better than snoddy over the last few months

Agree0 Disagree0

Somma lost in Graysons mismanagent? SHUT UP! He's been injured all season you div! And apparently has suffered another set back so I would think getting rid could be a smart move.

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Somma? we could have done with him this season? Keep for definate!

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally feel that top three on the list are the players we need to nail down and keep at the club. Obviously Snodgrass, captain, quality player, can't help but feel he might just leave in the summer, some prem teams are on the hunt for him. Clayton, can't get enough of him, top quality CM for this league and feel with a decent partner could be even better. Finally, McCormack, goals record speaks for itself, never rated him before this season, but he is certainly a quaility championship striker. Agree with the rest of the post, realistic and true.
