Not sure if this is true but reading in the papers at the weekend and apparently GFH are giving bmd a good bit of money but as I said I read it in the papers so might not be true nice if it is though.

GFH will give BM just enough money to keep any promotion challenge going in January. They will not give him a lot as he shouldn't need it. The real outlay will come next summer. I can see significant sums being spent whichever division we are in but obviously much more will need to be spent when we reach the Premier than on getting there. Once there large expenditure will be required to keep us there!

GFH do not have money to give -hence the constant search for investment. Things will rumble on like this for as long as GFH hold the reins. Chapel A

BMcD will be using the january window to get rid of some more of the dead wood in the team (Varney, Norris, Hall) and possibly some of the older high earners who he doesn't see a future for (Diouf at the head of this list). Some players will come in but these will be on loan with BMcD using youth players to patch up the squad for the rest of the season. Then in the summer there will be a lot of new permanent signings of players BMcD wants, the money provided by a large investment that will unfortunately come too late for the january window, but player values are over inflated in the january window so I don't mind too much as long.

You talk as if you know this is the case, whereas, it is simply your opinion!
Its a fair opinion and would be good to get rid of the 'dead wood' in the squad, but don't talk as if you go drinking with BMC on a Friday night and he tells you of his plans.
Did we not expect a large amount of activity this summer? What makes you think next summer will be any different?

I wouldn't say varney was dead wood, he's good for back up. if it was me I would get rid of Norris, White, Hall, Brown, Drury, Diouf (diouf was really good last year, holding the ball up)

Agree2 Disagree3

No player that is under contract is going to leave without being paid a settlement unless a club make an offer for them which is highly unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of the players under contract will be offered to clubs on a free transfer to get there wages off the books. A lot of the dead wood in the team we will struggle to get a fee for but Leeds are going to cut there losses and give them away to get them off the books or they will be sat in the reserves till there contracts run out. Admittedly I think most of the players he would probably get rid of we got on a free in the first place so we wouldn't be losing much.

OK Rob - Harrogate White, how would you have phrased what I put to make it sound different, do I have to specifically state at the start of each post that this is my opinion only? No where have I put that I am in the know or I drink with BMcD's second cousin on his wifes side or anything like that. This is my opinion but it is based on evidence I have seen from BMcD's previous transfer dealings in the Jan window plus the quite well publised fact we need to get players off the books to bring players in at the moment. As for the investment, that is a bit of speculation but there have been a lot of rumours recently about investment so I hope it happens

Just that old boy, put 'In My Opinion, I think that BMC will use the Jan window bla bla bla'.
You clearly put BMC WILL use the Jan transfer window to get rid of 'dead wood' and some players WILL come in, and in the summer there WILL be a lot of new signings!
That's why I said that your post implies you know exactly what is going on, and not what your opinion is! If you know then great, but I suggest you don't and it's all guess work?

Giving a player a free transfer does not mean he will agree to end his contract

Agree0 Disagree1

Rob (Harrogate White) stop being a knob mate, the poster is just giving his opinion. chill out, it's not serious tabloid news on here and that's why it's called a rumour site.

The poster is giving an opinion BUT he is pretending he has insider information. As such he deserves the criticism. If it's your opinion - and to be fair in this case it is one many of us probably would hope to happen - say it is an opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry didn't realise that I had forgotten a site rule that I was supposed to put that a post is my opinion. I have now realised that everybody else on the site always puts that at the start of there posts, oh no wait they don't! This is how I write, if it came out like I was in the know then sorry but that is my style of writing.
