Leeds Rumours Archive November 19 2012

Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Erhh maybe he's posting because he thinks that's the kind of player we need and was obviously available. We're are in serious trouble at the moment, week in week out the manager states there's 1-2 players hopefully coming in by the weekend, but it always fails to materlise. This takeover is fast becoming a farce and a joke. What other takeover has ever taken this long after all were only a mid table championship side. Man utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, man city were all completed in a matter of weeks. {Ed013's Note - Chelsea was nearly a year}

Believable21 Unbelievable6

What was the one common denominator in the Chelsea takeover that took a year and the Leeds one which seems to be the same amount of time?....Answers on a post card please.

Papa smurf squeezing every penny he can get!

..fast becoming a farce.

Its been a farce for a long time now, otherwise entirely agree.
My view is that its bates parting shot to us 'morons' as he lovingly referred to us. Prevaricating over negotiations. Everyone in football knows what an absolute sh1tehawk he is. Also gfh are coming across as incompetent buffoons. They need to be shoring up the situation and supporting NW with some signings, or at least be instigating some negotiations with agents of NW t'fer targets. Beggars belief whats happening.

LLHB MOT.

ps, ill have to change my signing off tag once the hairy scrotum has gone, a sacrifice i am more than willing to make.

Nothing to do with Ken Bates is straightforward. The guy knew what the wqord shyster meant when nobody else did - because he is a shyster. His shady dealings off-shore and ownership of Elland Road and Thorpe Arch via some starnge companies no-one has heard of must have been like sorting through a mine field for GFH. If they get this deal done in the next couple of weeks and allow us to spend some on some decent loan players, then I might get behind them. If they are not transparent in their ownership, however, I hope that the FA have a good look before they sanction the deal. The fact that they have spent a few months talking to Bates may have corrupted even if they are straight shooting! MOT whatever happens I suppose

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea takes nearly a year, Leeds takes six months and counting. what is the common denominator, yes you have guessed it Mr K Bates. Must say though that GFH don't fill me with glee there is something about the way they have carried out this take over that really concerns me

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea was almost twelve months, and guess who was involved in that!! ken, squeezing as much as he can out of it again!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken bates agian yeah

Agree0 Disagree0

Chelsea was a year because the deal got investigated by the Financial Services Authority. Also, Chelsea was a listed company... a much more complicated deal from the off... this GFH takeover could be stalling because the buyers are being over-cautious (understandably) trying to negate against any possible banana skins from Smurfland.
More likely it's because the corporate lawyers have no experience with the legal quagmire UK football club ownership has gotten itself into... investment limits, disclosure rules blah blah blah, it's all so damned tedious.
Learning all of this stuff is so hard... it takes time and really cuts into the golfing, snorting and prostitue boffing hours that most lawyers might fraudulently bill as working hours.
EVERYONE WHO NEEDS TO, JUST SIGN THE CONTRACT ALREADY

Agree0 Disagree0

You all look stupid now, doom and gloom merchants MOT

Poleons loan extended, if so this is a joke, state of squad, no pace no goals.....I'm a season ticket holder with a 200mile round trip. Cost of fuel + parking, easy decision to make. Won't be at Leicester game or any other until something changes. If the 200 protesting people outside the ground don't get the message across, attendances will - i predict < 15,000 for tomorrow's game. He may have saved us, now he's killing us. Bates out mot

Believable19 Unbelievable5

Season ticket holder don't lie your pathetic, you give us the sob story of 200 mile round trip,I predict 0 attendance tomorrow not even a game, and you call yourself a fan and you don't know when games are.

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be less that 15000 as there isn't a game tomorrow silly billy

When NW took over last season and we finished below than the previous year, It said alot. A good manager can motivate players and make average players good. NW did none of this. all he did was sell or demote all the players and buy new ones half of which are crap. NW please GO with dignity if you have some.

Agree0 Disagree0

If your not going to the games would it be cheeky of me to ask for ur tickets. I live in beeston so I'd only be wearing my trainers out walking to the ground. With the money saved from petrol and parking u could also buy me a beer and a burger but I am only ten so It would have to be cola and candy I suppose.

Agree1 Disagree0

Erm no game till saturday mate, prob good idea to not do that round trip... Bit of a waste of time lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha, this post cracked me up yesterday, acting like a hard done by season ticket holder that don't even know when a game is on, it's palace next by the way, you posted this a week to early, if you posted this next Monday when we actually do have Leicester the next day you would have looked less like a fool.

Zac Thompson and Dominic Poleon have had their loans extended. They'll stay at Bury until 1st January, with a 24-hour callback clause. (Source: Leeds and Bury's OS)

At least there's a call back clause...we need poleons pace up front desperately

Sky reporting that Leeds are lining up a loan deal for QPR defender Clint Hill.

Believable25 Unbelievable7

We don't need more old players esp defenders we need a creative central midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree with the first reply, one of the many things we have needed since day one of this season has been a experienced defender that doesn't make youthful mistakes.

I am really happy with Byram and Druary as our full backs, but Hill could offer us much needed experience in the centre.

By the way I do agree we need that creative midfielder.

LUFC-Bob

Agree1 Disagree0

He might allow us to reshape the back four and push byram in to right Mid

Agree1 Disagree0

Might as well sign Clint Eastwood (82).

Agree0 Disagree1

Hope we sign benny hill aswell

Agree0 Disagree1

Harry Hill more suitable. We are a joke at the back after all. Maybe his big collars can stop the free headers we concede.

NW spoke at length to KB last night in a ' Back me or Sack'

He needs funds now not in Jan, we need to start to pick up points

Believable40 Unbelievable19

Why would Ken give him money? He's off soon, hopefully!

Agree0 Disagree0

What good are funds now when you can't sign anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

To second reply,he would need money to pay a loanee's wages, panic signing before thursday!!

Agree0 Disagree0

You must have been there then, please tell us more

Agree0 Disagree0

You need funds to bring in loan players aswell

Agree0 Disagree0

Believe it or not, I think Bates's is being hard done by, on this one.

We're in limbo at the moment. The chairman, the manager, professional footballers, fans... all know this but, most importantly of all... AGENTS know this and any agent worth hiring, representing any player being approached by Leeds (which includes our own players holding out on contract signing, such as Diouf) would be advising their client to wait for the takeover to be completed.

Players we look at on loan with a view to permanent signing just won't come unless there's a decent proposal on the table.

Bates can't commit to this, knowing that he won't be in charge in January... unless you preferred he promised the earth, in writing, knowing he wouldn't be the one to have to honour the agreement.

I am certainly no fan of Bates but I'm a huge fan of rational perspective.

If Warnock goes, I won't be unhappy in the slightest. The team he put together is proving my low expectations entirely accurate... some of these no-marks have been signed on two-year contracts and we won't be able to get shot of this much deadwood in a hurry.

As for next manager; Owen Coyle would get my vote.

Agree3 Disagree0

We have been in 'limbo' for last 6 months its an absolute joke of a club at the moment

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the case wave Neil 'Bye Bye'. He won't get anymore funds, he got a very substantial amount in summer and wasted it.

Agree0 Disagree0

2 mill to buy a team is nothing Forrest payed that for 1 striker and people think a team worth a strikers going up. Plz. it was a fail from the end of the transfer window.
2 mill! Because everyone knows 2 mills a lot in football. ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he need funds now when you can't buy anyone until January???

It would of been better to start with some youngsters, Dawson, Sancez, the Turners and had a sprinkling of good players to them. The team are low, Neil's lost the plot, and the fans are disappearing faster than 1980's radio1 DJ's.

It's going to have to be an amazing second half to the season and some money spent

Believable45 Unbelievable7

Lol what the hell the fans always come to our games n apart from a few ppl trying to make a pointless stand they all come. n as 4 warnock losing the plot, who are you 2 say that? our youth would have also failed.
