Just been speaking to Snodders, he left for Norwich because there is no takeover at Leeds but KB selling some of his shares at inflated prices(the investment that is talked about). Less than £1 million for player investment this season including what has already been spent. Mc cormack will be sold in Jan window now he has signed a three year deal KB will get more for him, a lone player will be his replacement.

Believable16 Unbelievable145

Absolute rubbish the new owners were there on saturday (i went to the game and saw them there).
Also Mccormack has a very young family and is settled in Leeds and refused any interest prior to his contract.
the take-over is on and NW will spend real £££.

Ask snodders if he had a good debut

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Snodgrass would give out information like that wouldn't he, get a grip ?

Agree1 Disagree0

Awwh poor likkle huddersfield fan taking his angers out on us :( :(

Agree2 Disagree0

Utter nonsense. You were speaking to Snoddy and he told you all this? Yeah right.

Ross to be sold in Jan after signing a new deal and saying he loves Leeds and doesn't want to love away. Yeah sounds like a guy who wants to move and uproot his young family in mid season

Why lie?

Crmd

Agree1 Disagree0

Were you at Craven Cottage or Letsbe avenue? Seems very unlikley that Snoddy would stop and talk about financial investment to a fan of his old club. He got an offer from a Premier League team and didn't want to wait or didn't think we had the quality to get there. I wouldn't put it past ken bates to try a pull a scheme like that with Rossco but I highly doubt he much clubs will be in for him if they have to put a few mill on the price they could of paid 5 months previous. Snoddy is gone but overall I feel we have a better squad than last year. Stop all the gloom and doom that us Leeds fans always seem to have. Maybe just maybe Rossco signing a new contract is good news and that we have the team to grind out wins.

Agree1 Disagree0

U didn't see the new owners at all just because there was someone different in the box doesn't mean there the ones who are going to waste there money buying this has been club get real! It's going to be investment not a takeover

Agree0 Disagree0

Pub quality rumours. Got no-one fooled. Standard term condition of snoddy employment agreement not to reveal secret club info. Apparently he just did that. Breach of contract. Maybe you will be cited in the claim. Litigation against the might of 85 billion coming my club's way. Nice move bro.

Agree0 Disagree0

I smell Colemans Mustard....envy is an ugly beast. We sold you our clapped out motor now you want your money back. No refunds, no returns I'm afraid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha ha yer spoke to snodders as well, he said you talk utter rubbishe :)

Agree0 Disagree0

We Have a quality squad and Diouf, when was the last time you see Snodgrass take on three players and not lose the ball never. He will get relegated with norwich just wait and see also Johnson and howson brilliant midfield haha.

Relegation fodder might even have a bet they don't win mire than 8 games this season

Agree0 Disagree0

What a load of crap, why make up rumours that you can tell by reading them that they are wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

I was talking to Lord Lucan yesterday and he told me, in strictest confidence you understand, that he rides Shergar each day on the beach at Blackpool. Honest!
Chris

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow how can you call yourselves a fan when spouting out pessimistic rubbish like that?

Agree0 Disagree0

I chatted to snodders on Sunday, he said he already regrets leaving Leeds and the team he plays for average conceding 5 goals a game and score none. He concedes that relegation is a certainty. Get it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Only thing i willsay bout norwich is i hope we pass them on the way to prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

I take it 'snodders' is your teddy bear ?

Agree0 Disagree0

On many different levels, this is nonsense. Number one - how would, possibly, Snodgrass be privvy to this information and not Ross? Cos he would receive a good amount more money going on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

As if he wud tell u,n why wud bates tell snodgrass anything about takeover, just cos u lost 5 nill back to championship for u lot prem for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish, this is complete nonsense.. why make something up like that, you are a disgrace to Leeds fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been speaking to Ken Bates, he said he was visted by 3 ghosts last nite and he has learnt the error of his ways and will now go on a wild spending spree whilst upholding the true spirit of football always in his heart

Agree0 Disagree0

This lad must be thicker than a whale omelette, i'm sure the players wont know whats going on with the takeover either, especially Snoddy!

The D man

Agree0 Disagree0

Ken Bates here. No wonder you morons can't afford to buy the club off me if you spend all day talking nonsense on this site!

Its true, there is no takeover, but I have won a £50 bet against Susannah that I wouldn't actually hire actors to pretend to be billionaire Sheikhs. But don't worry, the £50 is going straight into Neil's pot for some new players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we finished 16th last year coz Snodgrass played as bad as he did for norwich on sat, he was just a better bad player in our sqaud last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you Fitzy in disguise?!?!

Agree0 Disagree0

You just spoke to snoddy all of a sudden and never said anything about when we wanted him to sign. So i believe this like i believe, we are about to sign Messi. Funny that you never left a name. Ed, did this come through with a email address mate? What do u think ED, real Macoy or real MAb=llsh=t?

Josh mceachran or thorgan hazard of Chelsea would be ideal for us as backup players both could be available on loan could do a job till the take over is completed when ever that is would also give us cover in midfield

Believable42 Unbelievable24

Don't think Josh Mc would be cover, he'd be the best player in the league!

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would they send them to us if they will be on the bench again....

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Mceachran is good enough to be in the starting line up not sure warnock will be interested though

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a bad (loan) signing. why should we go back to how it was when Grayson was manager loan signing after loan signing. NO! we want players who are committed to the club.

Agree1 Disagree0

Heh why not take Eden instead ;)

Ive been going to Elland road for quite a few years as a season ticket holder this season was going to be difficult money being tight. Renewed friday before shrewsbury so glad I did couldnt imagine not seeing the boys this season or any other. I know moneys tight for everyone but 23,000 not good enough we need your support guys so does the team forget about Bates one man should not put you off being where you belong. Remember 27,000 turned up first day in league one and we averaged that all that season..............so for the boys and the manager come back where you all belong. Philbramley

Believable57 Unbelievable24

Think there will be more fans there when the game is not on sky

Its because it was on sky, when the takeover is complete it be happy days and a packed stadium.......kevlufc

MOT!!

Agree1 Disagree0

I think the telly had a big part to play, the crowd will grow

Agree1 Disagree0

Its because the game was on sky, there will be more at the next home game mate MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said.
As a fellow season ticket holder i was appalled by the size of the crowd. We`re Leeds United for goodness sake and should be averaging 27,000 to 30,000 in the championship.
NW obviously working around the clock to turn this super tanker around. Some good buys on show yeaterday but clearly a lot more work still to be done. Respect NW.

Agree0 Disagree0

With the game been on Sky they should have made it a cat C game, then we would of got a 30k + crowd. Also why don't we have concesions in the west stand? £36 / ticket...far too much for 2nd tier football. Nearly 24k, early ko live on tv might be such a bad crowd & was actually the 2nd biggest championship crowd of the day...MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Phil not seen your name for a long time on anywhere ( used to see you here n there) if your same guy that is as enjoyed reading your banter with a few others welcome back hopefully see a few more of you comments ....assuming your same chap
Wingy Mk Leeds for life ..mot .....

Agree0 Disagree0

I respect the fact that they want a big crowd but not everyone can afford it. Me for example, catergory a game-£30 then £25 petrol plus anything i need whilst there. Thats £60-70 a time. Its hard when ticket prices are so high.. And the cost of bloody petrol!

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sure that Sky had something to do with it, but it is also still holiday season. I am still on holiday, unfortunately the only time we could take it. But I will be back for the next home game, I wonder how many others are still away? - JH

Agree0 Disagree0

Have some respect for peoples circumstances, I would love to go see every game this year but with my wife on reduced hours and me not having a pay rise for 4 years, i'd rather feed my family than go watch footy. I don't think Bates is the reason that so few people turned up, I for one arn't that petty, it's just that it's got too damn expensive to go anymore (and thats everyone not just Leeds). Maybe football clubs should do what a lot of the rugby clubs in this area have done which is realise that people can't spend as much to go out as they did a few years ago so they have reduced the price of tickets to increase gates, which will probably lead to more beer and food being sold so more money into the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the above post, i would love to go to ER every game. But for the cost i just can't (as the missus wants to come with me every time!) so that is roughly aroung £150 per game. I am hoping though to get to most games, but when it is on sky the cost from £150 goes to £10 (beer money!).
L3EDS

Agree0 Disagree0

You have just answered your own question by sayin money is tight and its on sky.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simply it was on tv! and the ticket pricing of papasmurf!i travel up from derby by train (dnt use the car)strangely its not so expensive? KEA

Agree0 Disagree0

As everyone else has stated, the match was televised and therefore had a significant impact of the attendance, alway has and always will.

Also we have to remember kids are still off school and many families will be abroad enjoying their holidays.

I'm sure Blackburn will attract a much bigger crowd and will no doubt bring more fans than Wolves did (i thought there turn out was poor too).

Finally a winning team will breed confidence in the fans and those currently sat on the fence (shall i, shall i not spend £31 of my hard earned money on a ticket?, will hopefully soon be sat on seats in ER. People are more likley to part with their cash if they think they are getting value for money.

WibseyWhite

Agree0 Disagree0

It is a shame we couldn't have had a bigger crowd, but I think most people know why. Early kick off, live on Sky so in the current economic climate a lot of people are going to watch it on tv!
I live in Leicester anyway so it's very difficult me to get the time/money to get up to ER. You're probably talking £65 before I've even had my first pint!
I think attendances will be larger for non-tv matches at 3pm.
Keep the faith! - JamesC

Agree0 Disagree0

Know the feeling wish i could get to more games but its a £100 day for me after ticket, petrol, food/beer. Hopefully will go to Blackburn game, so excited for this season just have the gut feeling we are going to put in some great performances and Im sure witha couple of additions will we be up there.

Bates talks on Official Site of potential investors not of a takeover. This means that there may be investment but he will be running the show and you can bet, controlling where the money is spent.

Believable11 Unbelievable43

If it was just investment, there wouldn't be any need for confidentiality agreement trust me it's a takeover and it will happen we just need to be patient........kevlufc

Agree0 Disagree0

What and takes 3 months to invest some money. It's a full buyout of bates 72% shares as stated by him shaun Harvey sky sports espn and lust.

Agree0 Disagree0

Selling 72.85 % shares is not an investment it is a sale.
Buyers want the lot !

Agree0 Disagree0

I know he says that on the OS but when it was announced the exclusivity period had ended he said he was happy to take to other interested parties about ultimate ownership (takeover)

And warnock mentioned in his column in the independent its a takeover, bates cant keep his mouth shut and he wouldnt just for investment.

from the os
United chairman Ken Bates has confirmed that talks with potential investors are continuing.

With speculation continuing apace about the position of the talks, the United chairman says talks are ongoing and are bound by confidentiality agreements.

"The real problem is that rumours have abounded inevitably," he told LUTV.

"We are in negotiations with a party. We signed an exclusivity agreement to give them time to do due diligence, and we're continuing negotiations.

"We're also bound by confidentiality, so we can't say anything, and in the absence of being able to say anything rumours abound.

"It's basically pub speculation that's being put out to a wider audience. I'm sorry for the fans because there's nothing more I can tell them at this stage, but when we can I will."

Does anybody else have any worries about Aidy white ?
Was really worried watching him slip several times, and he worries me when he gets beaten a bit too easily.
I am not slagging him off, just think he needs more time Gj

Believable36 Unbelievable16

I agree mate, i thought him and varney were the weak links in our team. Thought he bought drury in as first choice LB?

Then varney, he worked hard, but doesnt look much of attacking threat.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just think he needs longer studs

Agree0 Disagree0

I Agree
I feel Drury should be at LB and White at LM with Varney subs bench. I would like to see Rogers get a bash at LM at some point I feel he has something to offer

Agree1 Disagree0

Aidey White is not good enough at this moment in time, needs to work with a defensive coach every day untill xmas then let him go if no improvement.

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree he needs to look up more when on the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

I fully agree - I had my heart in my mouth a few times yesterday; generally when the ball was anywhere near Aidy in a defensive position. He's fine going forward, but I'm not sure that he's a left back

Agree0 Disagree0

Looked to be out run several times yesterday and he's supposed to be our speed merchant
His defensive starting position looks suspect which gave their winger the jump on him several times

This caused him to panic and he slipped once to let his man in and got caught wrestling on the edge of the box several times. Easy to give a penalty if he does it too often.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon he needs to be made to spend all his ballwork in training crossing the ball after he has been made a LM, he aint looking much like a defender at the moment. whereas young Sam does, looked a litttle shaky first half but grew as the game went on.

Maybe if we merged the 2 of them, hmmmmm Byram with whites pace would be special imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have aidy on the bench at moment and use him as an impact sub when needed his positioning need to improve if he is to be first choice left back

Agree0 Disagree0

AW is a good player going forward. Can`t understand why Drury not played yesterday with White in forward position instead of Varney. Totally respect NW decision though !

Agree0 Disagree0

Aidy white slipped twice in the first half because they watered the pitch just before kick off, if you were there you would of noticed this, plus he wasn't the only player to slip several wolves players, norris and byran slipped at times in the first half. Also you are forgetting that wolves had 1 shot on target all game. Id say the whole defence including white had a great game.
JC

Agree0 Disagree0

One game, one game in the season and your worried, yeh he didnt play his best but give the lad a chance we were playing against one of the better teams in the league, if warnock didnt think he was good enough he wouldnt play him, after one game we should be getting behind the team ALL OF THEM

Agree0 Disagree0

I completely agree with that, i think he may be more useful on the left side of midfield. Give him time and i'm sure he'll improve though, but i just dont find him reliable in the left back position.

Agree0 Disagree0

Back to front it should be:
Kenny
Peltier
Byram
Pearce
Drury
Green
Austin
Norris
White
Becchio
McCormack
This is the most probable team in my eyes
to do most damage.
Varney was greedy yesterday, white buckled at LB, Austin man of match real machine

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad AW signed a new deal, and liked him at RM towar end of last season showed promise. But disagree with everyone about Varney i thought he ran his socks of and did well going forward even winning a few of them long balls he will score goals like in pre season and imagine he will get above 10 ! Also like to say how well ithought diouf did very impressed and also will only get better in time looked a bit sluggish but still did a good job !

Agree0 Disagree0

He was shocking on saturday and was skinned every time by the winger, he is to lightweight and not a left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf is technically one of the best players ive ever seen in a leeds shirt for years. never looses the ball and knows how to slow the game down. white wasnt great at shrewsbury either and to be honest, he is only good where he can see the game infront of him so the wing is pointless for him. he looked out of position last season there. his pace gets him out of alot of trouble but now as we have pace in the side again I dont think he should be an automatic pick.

Believable26 Unbelievable10

anybody think that tom soares could provide cover in midfield? primarily a cm but under warnock he played on the right. james mcfadden is another player who could bulk out the squad and have a good role. hes a winger by trade but likes to get forward in more of a strikers role. both are free agents so would be in our current budget!

Believable6 Unbelievable29

McFadden would be good on the right side of midfield and could be played up front if there was an injury.. I agree he would be a decent signing and Warnock got the best out of Soares at Palace although he has not done a whole lots since. David Bentley might be a good loan signing. He won't get a game at Spurs and would fill the right wing spot

Agree0 Disagree1

I would like Tom Soares, he was supposed to be the next big thing to come out of Palace and then after he went Stoke he went off radar and ended up in SPL last season. McFadden would be a decent edition for this division but just depends on what he want's other then that I would be happy with them two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you think we want more average players who no one else is showing a great deal of interest in. Maybe another 500k CB as Knisboro is finished but after that we want one or two real top calibre mid twenties pedigree. Like Jarvis who yesterday stood out a mile in a struggling team

Agree0 Disagree0

To the last post all im going to say is: needs must. mcfadden is 29, relatively young for a midfielder, premierleague experience. soares is 26, strong and under rated. warnock can bring the best out of any player. diouf a prime example. top quality signings will be made when we have money to do so, until then its all about finding the best quality that no money will bring!

Believable24 Unbelievable99

No money till the takeover happens we couldnt even buy a bacon sandwich were that skint.

Hope if/ when takeover happens it doesn't take as long to buy players otherwise won't be till next season.

I think if take over is going to happen will have to happen before the transfer window shuts to get a few players in otherwise a few injurys we could be struggling unless we can bring some of the youth up and do what ferguson /oleary did
