Just been looking at a list of Championship players players that are currently out of contact this summer as we all know that Uncle Ken likes a "freebie". Fancy any of these?

Jay Rodriguez, Grant Leadbitter, Robert Koren, Matthew Bates, Adam Hammill, Robert Green, Tomas, Kuszczak, George Elokobi etc.

Believable22 Unbelievable10

Its out of contract premiership players we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought we needed good players to get us and keep us in premiership!! Korean ,lead better, Rodriguez , green are good players !! So good post guy who posted info!id take half of them at least ! Then get Neil's rest in !! THE NOW IS WHITE THE FUTURE is BRIGHT Warnock will get the players who will fight for this proud club at long last!MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriguez is definitely worth having a look at. Green is good, but I think we already have a solid keeper in Lonners.

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont want green the ball is like a bar of wet soap for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Green will be in premiership with west ham next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Jay Rodriguez and Robert Koren are exactly the kind of players we need, along with a few ex premiership players

Agree0 Disagree0

Leadbitter would be worth a risk and so would rodriguez. Elokobi is not out of contract and Bates is way too injury prone. Kuszczak would be intersting as long as we can get a decent fee for Loners

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriguez, hammill, elokobi and bates would be good. Leadbitter has apparently signed pre-contract to boro. The rest would be worthy signings but unrealistic

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think these are a good list of players, especially bates, rodriguez, koren, leadbitter and hammil

Agree0 Disagree0

4th poster, your and idiot. Green is a right keeper, yeah he made a mistake in world cup, thats history! hes a qualiy keeper. better that lonergan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodriguez is not out of contract in the summer. Hammil & elokobi will stay with wolves

Agree0 Disagree0

Half of these players are not out of contract, however their loan spell ends at the current club - it doesnt mean they're out of contract, hammill, elokobi, kuszack are all on loan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jay Rodriguez is attracting interest from the likes of Newcastle, Leadbitted wants to go back to the North East, Green would draw premier interest, & Hamill should get a regular place with Wolves next season as Championship is about his level - Kuszcak, Elokobi & Tamas are potentials though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes rodriguez is out of contract in the summer but would require a fee due to his age and can't see uncle ken spending a large fee as for Jordan Rhodes-no chance would cost too much {Ed003's Note - Jay Rod has another 12 months on his contract }

Kyle Lafferty to sign from Rangers, as they are struggling to keep the top players at the club!

Believable20 Unbelievable27

Top Players? He's struggled to hold down a place in their squad and would have featured even less had Jelavic not been sold and Naismith not been injured.
Could be a decent player, but I can imagine he's be on quite a penny at Rangers, or mebbies would have been before they hit the s**t

Agree0 Disagree0

As a 'Gers fan too, would be nice - but I can't see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Be a very good signing, if i remember him correctly from his Burnley days

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he a top player? id say pretty average. wouldnt improve our front line.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is still going to be too expensive for bates,so think again if you think he will sign for leeds!!

Simon Cox is set to hold talks regarding his future at W.B.A. It has been reported that he'll be avaiable to leave for around 3m, any chance of us making a bid? Would show massive confidence to Colin to allow him to spend so much on 1 player.

Believable9 Unbelievable36

If you knock the M off the 3 and add a P then i think Bates might sanction that kind of deal

Agree0 Disagree0

...Had to hit the "Unbeliveable" button as I think £3m is just too much for Bates.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems a bit dear for someone that hasnt really played for the last 2 seasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt pay 3 mill for him, however i thought it says on SSNs that his contract is up in the summer so he would be on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure he's a free in the summer so wouldn't need to make a bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's contracted until 2013, so he would cost a fee

Agree0 Disagree0

So the fact that hes leaving on a free in the summer makes this rumour totally useless and no possibility of being true. even if it wasnt on a free id only be willing to get him for 750k

Agree0 Disagree0

Again, contracted until 2013, this 'fact' that he's a free in the summer is nonsense. 3m is probably too much, again there are reports that he's valued at 3m, I havn't just made this up.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's still perfectly possible that WBA could agree to terminate his contract in the summer in order for him to find a new club.

They would probably only do that if they don't think that a fee that they would gain is anywhere near enough to cover the costs of paying his wages for a year.

Personally, I can't see them cancelling his contract, so it'll be a fee Leeds can't afford.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty ignorant original poster. firstly for calling Warnock "Colin". Dont people understand how than name came about? Why call our manager that?

Secondly, laughable that LUFC will spend £3m on a player!

Agree0 Disagree0

With regards to the latest poster - Leeds fans need a sense of humour, you best get one or you will be pulling your hair out (if you have any left at this stage)

Agree0 Disagree0

Original Poster - I do know why he's called that, and I use it because my opinion of him hasn't changed just because he has been appointed as manager, but then some of us aren't as fickle, if somebody asked me what I thought of him 6 month ago I'd have called him a w****r.

My point was that there was a quality player available and that if Bates allowed us that sort of money to spend on one player it would prove that he does back his manager.

Leeds and ipswich intrested in signing millwall midfielder josh wright who is coming to the end of his contract

Believable13 Unbelievable18

I'm sure Jewell just looks what we are after and signs them lol i'm surprised Leicester aren't in for him as well lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't Josh wright come through the Ipswich youth?

Agree0 Disagree0

No he came through Charlton youth. Not sure what he is like Im sure he had a bad injury at the start of the season

Warnock has agreed a deal for a player to sign at the end of the first week in may. It is believed that this player has never played under warnock before. Source: Phil Hay Yep Twitter

Believable32 Unbelievable7

Who do we think it is? i thought it was Bothroyd, Derry etc but they have played for him :s all i can think its clingan ?

Agree0 Disagree0

It'll be CB Clint Hill, he coming to end of his contrat at QPR. QPR will be looking to strenghten in this area in summer so may be surplous to requirements there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Darren ambrose or has he played under warnock

Agree0 Disagree0

Clingan was the first name that sprung to mine as his name has been floating around a while, with coventry (probably) going down. similar player to michael brow but yougner and better and not quite as stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

2nd reply - Can't you read? Not played under NW before give you a clue? Clint Hill does not meet that criteria does he? Whoever it is has got to be an improvement on the circus clowns we have at the moment!

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be alan smith, he hasnt played under warnock and a possibilty of a signing

Agree0 Disagree0

That ain't a rumour! You seem to know a lot apart from who he is? He hasn't played for Warnock before, well that narrows it down a bit. Messi hasn't played for him, nor has Ronaldo ! Come on we want names.

Agree0 Disagree0

It wont be Alan smith. He's playing very average football out on loan in a lower league.

My money's on Darren ambrose, never played under warnock, contracts almost up, and warnock tried to sign him at QPR. Would fit on the wing or in the free role Neil likes so much

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt ambrose play for him at palace?
Chorley white

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a feeling it could be Jason Pearce of portsmouth.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would say it would be a player from the bottom 3 teams as they will need to sell if they go down . i think it will be a player from doncaster as warnock knew they would be selling

Agree0 Disagree0

My monies on a full back, probably the lad from pompy Pierce (Pearce) ...unless it's a goalie cos we are bare there

Agree0 Disagree0

Relegated teams don't need to sell when they get a bloody great parachute payment of about £19M! Some may want to shift the biggest earners, but they are hardly going to join us on a maximum of about £15K a week are they?

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm thinking Jason Pearce, when NW first commented it was clear Pompy were going down. He said he wants to build from the back and now O'dea has been released chances are he has his sights on a CB.
