know a few people who are close to leeds players and the news coming out of the camp is that paddy kenny is a virtually done deal, he has gone under the spotlight recently but has been everywhere with warnock!
Can't honestly say that a new keeper would be a top priority! Bit of a wasted transfer fee?

I've heard a rumour going round that Danny rose and Fabian delph could join on a season long loan in July. Clint hill is apparently a target, as well as header helgusan and Rob hulse. Warnock likes a lot of strikers st his clubs. Joel ward is a target, paul green, Dave norris an Sasa papac
These would be good albeit unlikely signings. Rose and Delph definitely.

"fine prowess in front of goal", would it not benefit Leeds more to have someone who can score goals, rather than show bravery and skill? He hardly set the world alight at Ipswich. I take the ball it the net every time.
Oh, and the Warlock has said he wants to leave Leeds with something to build on when he goes, so that would indicate that loanees are likely to be few and far between.

Surely Tom Lees has got to be in there somewhere. Definitely a player for next season, thought he was class the season. Really stepped up to the mark!
Tom Lees is a good prospect, but he's no first team regular. If Warnock gets his main targets, then Lees will be a good sub to bring on, & to cover injuries/suspensions. The boy will grow into the role, but it's unfair to throw him in at the deepens like Grayson did.

SKY SPORTS WEB PAGE...NW is an admirer of clint hill, who according to NW is one of several players on a bosman...he said hill is the man that has kept qpr together this season, and would like to have him. there are another one or two to arrive in the next week. hill would do us with proud with the new singning pearce. what you think ed. {Ed013's Note - I think he will be a good signing for a season. Throught we were after young hungry players is hill not 33 {Ed013's Note - hungry with a combination of experience. Why can't someone still be hungry at 33! some players play til nearly 40}
Even if he's offered a new deal at QPR, he isn't guaranteed to sign it. He won't get many games for them and I can't see him being happy sat on the bench all the time at his age. {Ed013's Note - Agreed}

Original poster here, I can honestly see some kind of swap deal with Leicester for Adam Clayton but god knows which player we would get? Hopefully Beckford to be honest and could drop wages slightly to come back to us rather than another championship club mainly becuase of the fair play rules.
Jason Puncheon is definately a target as Warnock snole him from under our noses to take him to QPR and we do need someone on the left hand side, most likely to replace White.
And Hudson or Luke Chambers would be good alongside Pearce.

Leeds looking to bolster there defensive prospects next season, to ensure this Leeds look towards out of favour leicester CB Sol Bamba. Bamba ,27, has been out of the leicester squad now for a while and is said to be unsettled at the club. Bamba would be a great addition to the Leeds defense and would certainly get a first team place alongside Jason Pearce. Unlikely to get him, but he is really good. Against Leicester he was the best player on the pitch by miles.

Bundles highest payed player in prem was less than what clayton is asking for per week so he would not be going there and burnleys traing facility's are like a public park compare to thorp arch so can not see ward liking that.
I genuinely find that very hard to take seriously. People are looking for reasons for Ward's delay in signing -stop fretting, these things take a while sometimes!
I can see us sneaking this Ward guy ahead of Burnley. Can't understand why Warnock is letting go of Clayton and keeping Brown. For me Clayton was player of the season, really proved himself and deserves a better contract, albeit not 45K a week or whatever it was. Brown is total rubbish, old, slow and too over the top with tackles, he broke someones leg this season! Shows exactly what he is about! Keep Clayton and get rid of Brown.

Incredible if true but where would the money come from? Pay as you play would be good for getting the likes of Owen and Hargreaves as it would indicate ambition, persuade the better players to stay and possibly attract a higher quality of new recruit for the next season.

Owen has stated he won't drop a division. He wants to remain in the Premiership.

Beckford will return to Leeds on Friday For a straight swap for McCormack, apparently Beckford has fallen out with Nigel Pearson and he wants shut. Leicester will also pay 3k per week towards his wages for the first 12 months.
Can't really see this happening, especially with Leicester paying towards his wages. I would love it if it happened though. McCormack has done well for Leeds but lacks pace which has cost us goals at times this year. Beckford has massees of pace.
McCormack has had the most shots on target in the championship this year, unlucky not to have converted more. Would rather have both than one or the other.

MCormack has better finishing and I for one would not trade. Beckford didnt deliver, despite pace at Everton and didnt deliver either at Leicester. He ended up being a bit of a donkey just before he left us and whilst I like what he did for us, I also remember how he failed to deliver on numerous occassions

I would bite their hands off! Beckford is the real deal, whereas McCormack, though he has good ball skills, has been a difficult player to integrate wherever he has been. He isn't big enough, and doesn't hold up the ball well enough, to be a target man, and he's not really quick enough to play off one. Lack of pace also makes it difficult to play him on the wing. I would trade while his stock is high.
McCormack is better than Beckford, so this would be a bad deal.

According to Phil Hay, the team that are in for Clayton are Burnley, although they haven't as of yet made an official offer
I just wonder if the rumours of 600K are accurate or not. I kinda feel he's worth at least a cool million. We shall see. We'll never find out the true amount anyway as Papa Smurf will not disclose details.
We'd never get a million for him. Not that he's not a decent player but he's only had one year first team experience, one year left on his contract, and we are actively looking to sell. Half a mil maybe a bit more is about right given the circumdtances.
Well if we gonna let him he go that cheap id rather keep him for our promotion chase and let him go on free or if we get promoted let him decide if he wanna stay i rekon we could use him till jan and get 500k for him

We'd only be able to push the price up if someone bids and we reject it. If we acept for example half a mil from burnley then let clayts speak to them, anyone else only had to match that figure not better it to speak to him as well. I just think realistically in championship terms we will not get near to a million quid for clayton nor do I think we expect to.
