Michael Johnson will come in on loan ONLY IF he doesn't make Man City's 25 man squad. same will happen with Smith.
Believable8
Unbelievable16
Smiths available on a free it's a foregone conclusion that Newcastle want him out so why wait til then? don't expect smith to come back though
Agree0

Yet more news on Smith.......It isnt gonna happen. I dont think Johnson will either, if it was gonna happen it would have happened by now.
Agree0
Disagree0
Micheal Johnson cant keep playing in reserves and developement teams at city. At 23 he needs to make some progress and get in the spotlite. Would be nice if he got his career back on track at Leeds
Agree0
Disagree0
Smith is a freaking mercenary and isn't coming back, full stop.
Agree0
Disagree0
As far as I, M aware Michael Johnson will not be able to play for the reserves as they have been disbandedso a loan move is on the cards it just needs the finances sorted out Leeds to pay a portion of his wages

No big surprise here but Stockdale will join Leeds on loan Tomorrow / Tuesday and will play against Rochdale. Leeds trying to persuade Fulham to cancel 24 hour recall which has caused the delay but Fulham will stand firm.

leeds will sign next week......smith :-( , quinn and stockdale(loan) watch this space, also a very small chance that micheal johnson will also join on season loan with veiw to permanant next season
Believable18
Unbelievable18
Smith will be a quality signing, forget his past who wouldnt of ditched us? look forward not backwards
Agree0
Disagree0
Smith would be a poor signing injury prone hes too overweight and hasnt scored a goal in four years and hes crap in midfield wheres the logic
Agree0
Disagree0
Put smiths previous connection with the club aside can you honestly say he is good enough now? If the answer to that is yes then you must not know anything about football. He's never been the same since his serious injury he's not good enough.
You say look to future but the only reason that you would sign him is cos of his past with our club.
Agree0
Disagree0
If you ask me he's got the heart and if he puts in the work he can be a great CM player hes got strength and can get goals
Agree0
Disagree0
Who wouldnt of ditched us?
A self proclaimed ''fan''?
Just a thought, you dont sound much like one yourself with that comment
Agree0
Disagree0
It wont happen, your all setting yourseves up for a kick in the teeth, he wont drop his wages, and Im thankful for that. Hed be a complete gamble and one that most likely wouldnt come off
Agree0
Disagree0
No he obviously couldn't stay with us because of money id love to see your opinion if someone like ferdinand had a chance of coming back im sure you wouldn't care about him ditching us, just an opinion i'd love to see him back 75% wages paid not much of a gamble if thats the case
Agree0
Disagree0
Work and passion alone dont mean s**t Otherwise we'd all be premiership footballers........
Agree0
Disagree0
It is, for OUR wage budget moron, we arent a prem club anymore. And the 75% is merely a rumour fool. As for ferdinand would never happen. I think your fooling yourself into thinking that the only reason people dont want him back is the move to Manchester, your HIGHLY mistaken.

Gradel is goin to newcastle my m8 works in club shop at st James and the word is the deal will include Leon best and unfortunately a deal that will see newcastle pay 75% of smiths wages allowing him to re join the whites.

I wouldn't worry as whoever posted this rumour is clearly smoking crack Maybe he buys it from his 'mate' in Newcastle's club shop under the counter {Ed045's Note - Yeah why would the employee in the club shop know about transfer details, wages and part exchanges.

Leeds set to sign Melbourne Victory hard man Kevin Muscat.Muscat is seen as ideal to sure up a leaky defence.

Kevin Muscat....the one who played for Palace and Wolves, surely he is about 40 by now not having that.
Agree0

More nonsense, he's 37 - not even Leeds are that desperate, unlike you for posting this pure fantasy. I know this is a rumours site but there surely has to be some partial truth or realism in them?
Agree0

Kevin Muscat is a thug. If he signs for Leeds I will rip my season ticket up in front of Simon Grayson and Ken Bates. {Ed032's Note - i think that your season ticket is safe

Too old & slow. digraced himself with a horrible send off at the end of the a league season in oz

He plays for a non league club in Australia now and is assistant manager at Melbourne Victory, hardly likely we'd be signing a non-playing staff member of another club to come and play in the "leaky" defence.

4. Birmingham
5. Middlesborough
6. Burnley
7. Reading

Agree0

Personally i feel we will be about 5 places south of there mate, not enough strength in depth and a lack of quality signings will see us pushed out of the playoff spots, we have absolutely no chance of the top two spots with are squad atm.
Agree0
Disagree0
I dont fancy Leicester at all, Sven is a joker. He always rocks up at a club, spends loads of cash and then gets out of town. West Ham will be champions i think. Best we can hope for unless there are significant signings is about 8th-10th i think.
Agree0
Disagree0
Agree... we will finish outside the top 5 and look towards mid table, sorry guys would love to be proved wrong - but still time for some quality to come in
Agree0
Disagree0
We have improved season by season under SG, last year it was all doom and gloom when Beckford left and we had a great season, yes it tailed off at the end b ut most of us were thinking it was a season to consolidate and stay up. I for one have faith in SG and think we will be right up there with the automatic spots however tough the competition. MOT
Agree0
Disagree0
Can't see 'boro or burnley above us. There squads are weaker than ours. All this talk about Leicester, Sven is hardly a proven winner is he? Spend, spend, spend doesn't win you leagues, passion does. You only have to look at last seasons top two to see that. Watch this space.......
Leeds aren't we.....
Agree0
Disagree0
We will be lucky to stop up never mind finishing in the top five if we dont bring some quality player in very shortly
Agree0
Disagree0
I tip Ipswich to do well. Made a few good signings so far and I rate jewell as a manager, as much as I wish Leeds would be up there I just can't see it, we need more depth n class and NEED a take no sh#Â defence, can u all see that happening? I wonder if players let max, snoddy and luciano will play as well as they did last season, whatever happens I'll be there cheerin the lads on neway {Ed032's Note - good attitude - get behind the boys
Agree0
Disagree0
We finished 7th last season and to be honest once our defence is sorted we will make the play offs. We dont need quality signings we just need to improve our team moral and up we go. {Ed032's Note - and we need to get behind the lads and make elland road the fortress it once was
Agree0
Disagree0
Wish all the arm chair and pessimistic fans would stop going on about "quality signings" it's the championship, grit, desire, passion and a belief is what you need in the team. Whatever signings come on will be right for Leeds united........have faith and stop promoting other teams in the championship before us Were Leeds and proud, I doubt burnley, 'boro and Leicester fans are saying were going to be better than them.
Leeds aren't we..... {Ed032's Note -
Agree0
Disagree0
I wouldn't bank on Leicester being up there - Eriksoon's an idiot. He also spent millions last season and did eff all. Leeds won't do better than last year if we don't sign at least 4 more good quality players.
Agree0
Disagree0
If we finish top 10 I'll be happy. Too many good teams this year, we missed a good opportunity last season. Still I'll be 100% behind the mighty whites
Agree0
Disagree0
My thoughts are that you're crazy... 5th? We missed out on thr play-offs last season with a much better squad
9th/10th - at the very best.
And I think West Ham will walk the league
Agree0
Disagree0
I strongly disagree with the above comment. We have only lost Killa and Johnson, and at times i wish like many johnson didnt even have a left foot. IThe arrival of Brown will strenghten the middle of the park. And in terms of Kasper, we are heavily linked with Stockdale on loan who is a better keeper. For the back four we have the return of Kisnorbo, although uncertain of how he will respond to his injury, was a rock in league 1 for us. Although i agree with some that we need a few signings to strengthen the squad, we are linked with good players that will enable us to surpass last season and push for the play offs. Also i expect players such as Nunez to take off this season.
So lets get behind the lads instead of comparing them to other teams.

Reading to finish above West Ham? lololol
And where's Boro?
Agree0
Disagree0
In a better position than forest, cardiff, blackpool and Birmingham who have lost the majority of their teams and havnt signed anyone decent as of yet
Agree0
Disagree0
West Ham have lost allot of players and have a manager who style of football is crap i think persionally they will do a Boro
Agree0
Disagree0
Just want to say most people have ignored the fact blackpool have the same team that got them up last year so expect them to be up there. As for the mighty whites i see us finishing 4th the likes of aidy white and nunez i think will come through this season especially nunez he played top class in pre season scotland. Would agree need another solid defender, midfielder and possible striker cos paynter not up 2 standard and becchio with his hamstring is risky. WE have the quality, the believe and the passion get behind the team MOT {Ed032's Note -
Agree0
Disagree0
The fact that we have only lost a couple of players (At the moment) is not the point. Other teams have strengthend, some big time. The teams coming down I believe will be there or there abouts. I'm a mad Leeds Fan, but I'm not stupid enough to think we will finish top 5. We missed out on a cracking chance last season. If we have an indifferent start to the season like last year we only have mid table to look forward to. I HOPE I AM WRONG {Ed032's Note - so do i
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm strongly behind the lads at Elland Road - I really hope we're all wrong with our pessimism
I just find it difficult to see where the results are gonna come from An above poster says we've only lost Bradley and the Killer. We've lost Somma for 6 months or something and we've let Kasper go.
We NEED to get Lichaj back - he was quality.
It's all good and well that we have all these midfielders, but they can't all play Nunez has looked awesome in pre-season, but where's he gonna play?
Are we gonna switch to a 4-4-1-1 and play him in the hole? In which case, who's gonna be the midfield?
You'd assume Maxi and Snoddy on the wings and Howson and Brown in the centre... And Brown won't be able to play twice-a-week at 34... that's the problem with the more experienced players in this division. Experience is all good and well, but it's no use if you've got no proven cover when the older guy is knackered after a Saturday
Last year we won one mid-week match all season... ONE That's terrible And we have MUCH more strenght in depth
I strongly disagree with an above poster's criticism of Bradley Johnson. He was absolutely outstanding last season... proven when we were on a good run, only lost to Cardiff (twice) in something like 22 matches and then I was there at the Liberty Stadium, watching Swansea walk through our midfield because of no presence Without Bradley, our central midfield had no defence whatsoever
I really hope I'm proven wrong here.
It's brilliant news that we look to be keeping Maxi and Snoddy. And we have cover for them in White and Sam.
Having Luciano back will be a plus and I think Rossy deserves a chance. I always liked Nunez, he was quality for Scunny - so that's a plus. I love Paddy, so that was a key contract negotiation.
Aside from all the nagativity, we can battle - but we'll be overachieving if we make the play-offs {Ed032's Note - good post.

Ex Stockport County and sh&te... we really need to be looking at better than this... we surely can't be skinters anymore, uncle ken's steadied our ship and has got all his money back that he put in. with some effort and a little investment he could double what he bought us for by getting us into the prem. would like Stockdale but wouldn't be impressed with smithy coming back as I just think his legs are shot.. fingers crossed we get some players in soon.
Stockports ONLY Leeds fan.. leeds, leeds, leeds.. {Ed032's Note - hows the weather in stockport?

Hahaha, strange you ask Ed.. I left twenty years ago and spent ten years in Aberdeen and ten years in the Hague just to get away from the rain cloud that sits over stockport.. note to the scouts at Leeds Get over to the Hague and take a look at some of the talent in their Selectie (Semi Pro) Leagues - Technically very, very, good. I manage a team over here so if you fancy tipping someone off in the club tell them to get in touch with me through Wilhelmus V.V.

Snodgrass to Newcastle 6 million (gutted leeds fan )mot.
Believable11
Unbelievable40
At that price hope so provided money is spent on players. Snodgrass not that great last season for whatever reason
Agree0
Disagree0
I agree for 6 million we could buy 3-4 good midfielders or defenders or a winger twice as good as snodgrass but i odubt it will come off as we slapped an 8 mil price tag on him when norwich wanted him
Agree0
Disagree0
I would take that with a little regret providing 6m was spent on replacements. As previous post said we could get 4 good quality players with that
Agree0
Disagree0
Would rather sell Snodgrass than Gradel, we need to offer Max a good deal to stay.
Agree0
Disagree0
He is quality . gutted to loose him . i agree maybe he did not score enough goals , but , if he was not helping to defend so much , we would see so much more . he is a 10 out of 10 team player .

When will people learn that most of the things on here are rumours with no truth? 6m after bates already said he's valued at 8m Get real
Agree0
Disagree0
Snodgrass is a good player. You would ideally want to keep him, but at 6 mill that would be a good deal. The reality is we would sell him for 4.5 i think. And would all the cash be re-invested with the Colonel at the helm?
Agree0

I would rather keep the players that are committed to the club and get rid of the ones who are asking god for answers about their future tbh

Call yourself leeds fans snodgrass won player of the month 5 times last season and set up too many goals to count he was one of our best players except the dip in form towards the end of the season. Losing someone like snoddy could leave a massive gap in the team MOT

Ed do you think that Lichaj is the problem to our Rb/Lb defensive problems? Also his long through could get us a goal or two when things aren't going our way. What do you think? {Ed045's Note - I am assuming you mean solution and, I think he has proved himself perfectly capable of being our Rb in this league, he has pace, a good tackle, and has time on his side(he's stick quite young), I would like to see him permanently though.
Believable16
Unbelievable2
I think lichaj is ok but to be honest i dont see him as a solution to anything. We have a very big problem within our team.... And its not individuals... But i was at every game last season home and away, our problem is the gulf between our midfielders n defenders. When we dont have the ball we look so exposed. I think the signing of brown will help that though. (i hope) {Ed045's Note - Yeah i agree, with a solid Def Mid player, we should be able to stop a leaky defence.
