Mike Grella to sit down and discuss his future with SG tommorow. Expect a mutual termination of his contract and Grella to move to a team of out a selection of Carlisle, Doncaster, Huddersfield, and Watford in time for the weekend

Heard on the grapevine that Leeds United want to swap Mike Grella for Gary Roberts at Huddersfield
Would be a good move for Leeds United

Grella just have some pride and leave , you have'nt got the quality pal

I live in carlisle and love ta c mike here i think he was quite good in league 1 always caused problems for carlisle when we played leeds jp trophy northern final defo made the difference when he came on :) (leeds fan from carlisle)

Hmmmm very strange how he plays for the 1st time and they manage to win and even stranger how we won a much higher percentage of games last season with him in the team than without him, best player we had by far

You really need to give your head a shake if you think we can afford 5 million Beckford would be detrimental to the team too with his attitude and how many chances it takes for him to score. 1 goal in about 6 chances and it's not as if he makes up for it with his work rate like keogh.

i think for West Ham Grayson will go with the 5 man midfield again, with McCormack in for Gradel on the wing.

Nunez can count himself unlucky after a good display against Hull, the fact is we are away to west ham and need to think a bit more defensively. I just cant see Grayson leaving out Keogh although i would prefer McCormack up there. MOT

I would keep the same team to be honest .... Why change a winning team?

The only change will be Howson for Nunez, unlucky for him but it's unthinkable to leave out the club captain.

I would personally stick with the 4 4 2 from the win against Hull....i would drop Brown and Nunez and bring in Howson and Gradel. Brown hasn't shown much in the games so far so should give way to Howson - and Nunez played well against Hull and can count himself unlucky to be sat on the bench - but he doesn't have the Gradel touch of class.

If you leave Brown out you're leaving the defence very exposed

We played the 5 man midfield against southampton and it didnt work, 442 is our best formation, we dont have a big strong skilfull front man who can hold it up

Should be exact same line up as hull game as it is the only line up to have performed this season , but grayson falls at the feet of captain invisible howson and really he's crap

Now I'm no great big Ken Bates fan but I do think in the present climax, sorry climate, he is doing a good job in keeping the club's head well and truly above water with Larry, in my opinion doing a superb job on a shoestring budget. Time will tell.

Whatever you think of Ken - he was the one who put his money where his mouth was way back when....remember that....and without him stepping in...who knows where Leeds Utd would be today???....i can see sense in his rationale in making the ground capable of bringing in revenue other than just on matchdays....saturday/midweek monies won't have the tills pinging....but the revenue that greater facilities brings in will hopefully start pulling in a few quid... and that can be put into the playing squad...yeah as fans i know we have to hope that happens....after all it's all well and good putting the money into the commercial side...but if you have a poor football team on the pitch....who is going to want to have the "cudos" of coming to elland road??....a team which is successful makes ER far more appealing to businesses and visitors etc... to use the facilities....just my thoughts.... Not really.....just because we haven't done a Leicester....doesn't mean our current squad is bad now ....which i don't think it is.... so....if the building of the club continues as it appears to be doing....the long term investment that comes in from the commercial side will allow us to build on the field even better than we have now...by that i mean Premiership squad.... so my comments about pulling in the commercial market and customer is more a long term vision than the here and now....Rome wasn't built in a day

To be honest I think that the newspapers made up the Santa Cruz story because they were short on material. At not one point in the interview with Santa Cruz' dad does it say that Leeds are interested. His dad (and rightly so) says:

"The second division is very competitive in England, with powerful teams who were in the top division and have huge stadiums, like Leeds United, but the future will be decided by Manchester City."

He says Leeds are a big and important club but doesn't say that we're interested in signing him. Tbh I'm not sure we need strikers at the moment with Keogh, McCormack and Forssell on trial. That aside though, I wouldn't grumble if he did come

His father obviously does not know the Leeds wage stucture.

Leeds and Man City have a good business relationship,So anything is possible in football,even at LEEDS

I have it on good authority that the demo against Bates has got to him more than he'll admit.
His management team have finally stood up to him and told him his programme comments were ill-advised.
My understanding is that at a post-game meeting last night, Bates threw his toys out of the pram and suggested that he's going to resign his Chairmanship and let Harvey & Co run the show if they felt they could do better.

My source is a senior manager in one of the club's key sponsors who spoke to Harvey last night.

I doubt very much that 300 people out of over 22k leeds that were at the match would worry bates at all. Its water off a ducks back so i would say you are ill informed.

What board meeting? I am unaware of any meeting held with Mr Bates or other members of the Leeds Utd board since early August, so this story is false. As for Mr Bates not being happy with the Leeds Utd supporters who have expressed their thoughts on his ownership, I think he stated what he thought of them & anyone else who joins them, as required.

The meeting was not described as a board meeting - It was just an impromptu after game get-together

The threat made by Bates was (I'm told) exactly as described - an impromptu meeting where a conversation started about the wisdom of his programme notes.

Montomery possible, but why Simonsen?, Lonegran looks good in goal and Rachukba fine as back up if needed

Ed, didn't see the game. How did Lees look, could he be a proper LUFC central defender in the making? O'Dea was untroubled and solid for most of the night. Won headers, tackled well and played some great balls out wide towards Snodgrass. Unlike most of our previous centre backs, and maybe this is because he is used to playing left back, he managed to pass the ball around to the midfield and use the wide men really well. He played really good {Ed007's Note - I wanted to keep him at CFC this season, I rate him better than Majstorovic (the big baldy Swede on TV to you guys probably). I'm glad he got off to a good start, good luck for the season lads. Play-offs at worst for you I hope. Thanks for the info as well.}

Went to the game last night, the entire back line looked really solid, O'Dea played centre, and Lees played RB, White played LB. O'dea seemed to have a much better game at CB which apparently is his natural position. All were exceptional. Lees was unlucky under pressure when he scored the own goal, but a cracking strike to even it out. But their chances were really limited to half chances and Lonergan was amazing when needed, came for crosses, had an idea where the ball was going to land...a far cry from Schmeichels flappings.

O'Dea looked a lot more assured at Centre Half, with Paddy alongside him we
looked a lot stronger

Funny how most of you were slanging O'Dea off when I told you all how good he was oh and most of you were slaging off lonergan compared to kasper now you beginning to see how good they really are and without Gradel, Becchio, Somma, Howson Bromby, the list goes on. Kill ken said morons whodont know football

People slagged him off as a LB not as a CB, and a couple of the goals were faulted by Lonergan in all fairness mate, the thing that riled me was people all over Graysons back

Mate they flagged him off before he even played tell what goalkeeper in the world would have stopped any that he conceded because the goals against Southampton were in mersons words worldies as for boro nothing he could do be lucky it wad not kasper or we would be worse off.

Was at game and didnt notice him doing anything different to what he does at end
of every game- thanking the fans for their support

So does that mean everytime a player waves at his fans for anyone at anygame they will be leaving. I don't think so otherwise whole squads would be leaving at the end of every season (lap of honour around the pitch)

I spoke to one his mates and he said he will never leeds and he took his time coz he was so proud to play for us and sed the fans are amazing and the team are proud aswell and grayson said the players have to give the fans a proper applause because without them there wunt be a leeds

Think Brown should be replaced with JH come Sunday.. However think Nunez looks better than Gradel and we should keep the 4.4.2 with Gradel on the Bench - Keogh was excellent upfront and his partnership with Ross Mac will be explosive now the confidence is there.. Lonergan what a signing them saves off Matty Fryatt were world class

Very happy with the performance last night but i do think gradel is better than nunez gradel's work rate is immense and especially against west ham is waht we will need against a quality midfield. brown had a good second half last night but i do think grayson will drop either mccormack or keogh for howson and go 4-5-1 at west ham

Howson isn't as good as brown in a 4-4-2...howson can only play in the one position which is the free to attack position from midfield...he isn't as affective when in the standard 4-4-2.

Agree SG will revert back to 4-5-1. He should bite the bullet and go 4-4-2. S**t or bust is what I say

Forest and Leicester trying to negotiate a deal for beckford, forest have offered 3.5 million which may look to get the deal, but also look to have got yakubu, I think witth there quality of the strike force they will only get one so cmon Leeds show some ambition and let's get beckford, surely you have 3 million Ken

You dnt need noar want beckford back if he wanted leeds he would of signed new contract but he never, just a shame with these millions being talked about for him leeds didnt c a penny

Beckford will not be for sale, Everton needs goals, and even with a handful of starts and sub appearances he stikll got double figures last year it will take 7 + mil for him and I dont think even Leicester have that and Forest definitely do not
