mmmmmmmmm, football wise I think Gayle is a great fit, but I have always been under the impression he is a bit of a bad egg and could upset the apple cart, a bit of a Craig Bellamy type player, I'm not 100% convinced we need a player like that.

In a Biesla team the furthest guy forward has a lot of work to do. He needs to be the focal point for attacks. Linking up with the attacking midfielders. From what I have seen of Gayle, he is a little lightweight for that role. But to be honest Vokes looks a little immobile for that role too. Of the ones I have seen (on telly) that have been linked with us I think Britt Asambolonga (sp) is the best fit.

Not sure how much of this is true but apparently Andy Carroll has been offered out on loan to some clubs. Would be expensive but would also be a good signing

Would be a great signing. He should have been at the World Cup. Kinnear has hinted we'll be in for one or two Premier League players on loan and to me that makes much more sense than filling up the squad with makeweights like Mbakogu. However, we won't know who is available from the PL clubs till they've sorted their own squads out. The loan market remains open for a few weeks after the permanent move window closes.

Deal for Blackman set to be confirmed today. I'm struggling to get excited about this one in all honesty. not sure it will help us to strengthen but then again maybe having the right keeper is a key component in Bielsa's strategy and the way he plays? perhaps BPF is just not the right man and we cannot move forward without someone else (I assume if that is the reason it must be down to ability with the ball and being able to play out from the back? ) . anyway, let's get this done and then hopefully move on to some much needed outfield additions. Bielsa looking to land a striker, midfielder and defender before the end of the window by all accounts. Perhaps he is signing the 'core' of the team and the rest will fit around them.
