Ross McCormack to sign a new contract and be made Club captain before kick off on saturday

I don't think Ross is captain material. I think it should be a midfielder or centre-back.

Well its looking like mccormack going to be our free roll player so you might be right wi saying he will be captain. hes gone from warnock saying he wont get as much game time this season to now been our Taarabt so that is a big turn around .obviously warnock didn't quite realise how good mccormack was

Or simply Warnock didn't get the players he wanted to keep McCormack out the team!

McCormack is quality
not sure about captain but he's one of the first ones we look to for a goal.

Personnally I dont want someone that isnt sure if he wants to be here or not being club captain.. want someone with more commitment than that.

Just spoke to someone who knows Walshy ( Steve Walsh used to play for Leicester and is involved in the back room staff there) Not a chance of Beckford leaving Leicester before the window closes, maybe a chance in Jan but only if Beckford decides he doesnt want to play the squad game. Beckford wont be first choice, but he will play from the bench and start against lower teams.

Which begs the question of why if he is a bencher for them, apart from against the weaker teams, why do we rate him so highly?

Why do so many Leeds fans keep wanting past players to return, move on Beckford is not the answer his ego is too big for the dressing room not a Warnock type, great while he played for us but history now, move on and stop banging on about our former players. Warnock has asembled a squad that will challenge and with an additional forward we will be up there, Piquionne is surely just a squad player, but just the sort that Warnock gets the best out of, Warnock is renowned for signing strikers and likes to have as many on his books as he can

Yeh, i'm not sure either, i presume it will be one year contract due to age. Well Neil is a better judge than me so lets hope it works, if we can add Buzsacky it will certainly be a vast improvement on last season.

He will be awesome if he can recapture the form he had when he was playing in the premiership.

According to stadium plan on OS there looks to be plenty of tickets available for Wolves game. Not surprising given cost of a Cat A game and fact that the game is on Sky.

30000 tickets already sold 4 the game .... better than most PL clubs will get ... js

I think he would be a good signing. Iv got mates who are stoke fans who say he is a good player. He can be a bit temperamental sometimes. He also apparently can be awesome when he wants to. One of my mates said he didnt do alot in one game, then he decided he could be bothered and then got ball, skinned a few players and scored a screamer.

Fuller was not one of them

For free why not, we don,t have no money god knows when the takeover will happen if it happens and we have a very thin squad he,s also better than andy gray get him in i say at least for the short term

Cant believe its true, I watched Fuller play the lone striker away at West Brom and he was awesome. Very strong and worked himself to a standstill however cant see Bechio and Fuller in the same team

Hearts fan here.

I see Leeds are getting linked up here with moves for David Templeton and Darren Barr. Although the rumoured move for Barr seems to be getting less support.

Temps - great raw talent winger we signed from lower league in Scotland. Very tricky. Fast but not lightning. Great at cutting in and a good goal threat. Not sure about his final ball and bringing other players in. Also think he needs to put on a stone in muscle. Wee bit injury prone and inconsistent. But at the same time, it wouldn't surprise me to see Leeds sign him for £500k and sell him 2 years later for £5m.

Barr - also signed from lower league in Scotland. Centre half. But when we signed him we decided he's too short for centre half at 5"11. Strange. Put to right back, terrible. Now in centre midfield as ball winner, looks pretty decent. But don't think a move is likely, might be wrong.

Good luck for season ahead Leeds, would love to see you guys back in Premiership.

Thanks very much for the posts back guys. Leeds is my English team going back a good few years to a cult hero of mine at Hearts - Ian Baird. Fearless battering ram centre forward we got from Leeds for £300k. Was in Leeds for my stag too - great people, great night out.

Glad you appreciated posts. Both players would do a good job. Put it this way, no worse talent than guys like Berra, Eggert Johnson and Kello that left us to Wolves.

As for the one person post. "As if I'm a Hearts fan"? No sure what that means. I only claimed to be a Hearts fan. No an Elf. We do exist pal.

"Too much time on my hands". Well, yes. This is my free time. What, are you just running out of a Board Meeting or a conference call to New York to quickly scribe your response? Isn't everybody on here using up free time?

And the point about "hope you don't sign them". What do you want me to do? Burst into tears. Good players move on. When I watched football years ago we had John Robertson, Gary Mackay, John Colquhoun, Walter Kidd, Henry Smith, etc. for just about their whole careers. Now, a decent player is away after 2 seasons. Fact o life that I've come to terms with.
