Davide Somma to make the bench for Friday nights game as replacement for Poleon.

Believable17 Unbelievable66

He's out on loan to get fit at Southend , come on ed {Ed013's Note - what?!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Somma is still at leeds but not quite ready, mccormack will be on the bench friday night

Agree1 Disagree0

Has somma been given a number as yet? He still number 27 ?

Agree0 Disagree1

Sanchez payne no 27

Agree0 Disagree0

Much as i would love that to be true, I would doubt NW would risk him without him having any reserve or closed door match fitness, he's more likely to go out on loan as he's been out for so long.

Agree0 Disagree0

You obviously know nothing about football mate if you think Somma is gonna be on the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

Somma wnt b on the bench but the rumour that southend will take him on loan is pathetic as he would destroy league 2 teams but that aint gonna do him any good for us so if we send him out on loan it wnt b 2 a league 2 team thats for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

Destroy !!!! Have you watched him ? Not seen him win a ball in the Air yet ?
Bit of skill but no pace and heart as big as a pea !!

Agree0 Disagree1

He's not at Southend and number 27 could be free as it says in matchday programmes that Sanchez Payne is number 28 but OS says he's 27 so one is obviously wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post above you will be eating your words when somma is banging goals in for fun clearly never seen him play have you the best finisher we have at the club

Agree1 Disagree0

Pathetic cause he would destroy them? before we started playing him he was on loan to Lincoln. Charlie Austin is destroying Championship teams at the minute should we all sign a petition to get him banned from this league?.. what a ridiculous statement.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think somma is an excellent finisher but I belive his all-round game is quite slack. He needs to work harder during games. He probably does need to go out on loan or do what jack wilshere is doing and play lots of behind closed door matches and build himself up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the one with the pathetic statement.
Go to all home games and half the away ones ! promises a lot in spells but does not deliver much in my opinion. Hope you are right and would love to eat my words , but do not think i will have to though !!

Agree0 Disagree0

All the home games my arse just stick to what you know best football manager mark my words you will be eating yours that is for sure every time he came of the bench he either scored or set one up like i said best finisher at the club still leedsmad!

Agree0 Disagree0

Somma is most effective when used in the Solskjaer super-sub role. Stick him on from the start and he'll do pretty much nowt but, chuck him on with 10 minutes to go and he gets into all the right positions against tired legs and THEN bangs them in for fun. Agree with a few others, his all-round game is not up to a starting place but on the other had, if he's a 10-minute-man, he could easily be on the bench with little match fitness. Doubt very much Warnock would risk him in a game we're chasing just yet but, if we're 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go... He must be quite used to being on the bench (treatment or subs).

brother works over in gulf - just emailed me saying most chatter about TO he has ever heard, stating it will be concluded next week. this is no wind up and its the first time my bro has really mentioned it so i am very hopeful its nearing the end game
MOT TO THE PL

Believable21 Unbelievable57

I live in Dubai ,,and nowt in the papers out here , tell your brother regal plaza bur Dubai Friday night

MOT Aberdeen Whites

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol your funny m8, funny how the 3 weeks that the club said ends in that same week so all u have done is claim to b in the know when all u know is what everyone knows, pathetic

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure that i speak for all Leeds fans when i say this but, we know that its going through, but all the rumours have really made it difficult to hold hope. And i've got to the point where, frankly, i really dont give a s**t. I just go to Elland Rd to support the lads, and leave the politics to the fat cats.

Roundhay White

Agree1 Disagree0

Appreciate your sentiments Roundhay, but it is the likes of you, who cough up week after week, that are holding the club back.

If everyone stopped going for one home game, Bates would instantly sell up, believe you me.

Agree0 Disagree2

Lol so everyone dnt turn up for 1 home game that will make a huge upset on ken bates as ofcorse hes very poor so would instantly sell up lol wat the hell m8. us not going for 1 game wnt make any difference n also by us not turning up dnt look good on anyone that wants to invest does it for god sake. its you ppl that hold this club back believe you me lol {Ed013's Note - I wish people would pack it in with the boycotting talk, Ken Bates wants to go and is willing to sell the club. I understand why some of the stay away fans have done it, but some clearly didn't turn up pre-Bates and won't Post-Bates. I have never understood why some people jump on the band wagon just to cause trouble! Surely supporting the team you love is more important than Ken Bates!}

Agree0 Disagree0

To real fans yes m8 i agree but most are just moaners n its pathetic to think ken bates would leave cus no 1 turns up for 1 game lol do these ppl not know how much ken bates is worth? lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Boycotting games would never hurt Ken Bates, just Leeds United.
A boycott would simply endebt the club creating an inability to keep up with running costs.
Boycott a few home games and we're in a position where the club can't meet monthly costs and has negative cash-flow; tax bills unpaid, players unpaid...
Anyone advocating a boycott is, effectively, wanting the club to be back in the position it was just over a decade ago, when it imploded.
By all means, vote with your feet, if you must... it's your right but, don't EVER claim that you're doing it with the club's best interests at heart because such actions will quickly kill the business... kill the team and STILL LINE BATES'S POCKET as he would still be able to sell the club through insolvency and make a profit on his original investment.
Meanwhile a new business is formed and the history of the club you claim to love is destroyed by your own pointless actions.
Go ahead and boycott, if you must... but, don't think for a second that any good will come of it.

not a rumour fact our site... poleon and thomson join bury on 1 month loan thats 2 more off the bench for friday is there some good news today or nw going to put his dog on the bench
berty25

Believable29 Unbelievable14

Blamewell must have guaranteed he would play them, seems a stupid move to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

And WHICH friday would this be, exactly then??

Agree0 Disagree0

I trust Warnock - if he thinks putting his dog on the bench is a better option, I'm ok with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not the original poster here, but i think that he means this friday against Sheff Wed where we ae going to be missing 2 people who could be on the bench... i personally think this is a good move (it will only benefit them playing competively for a month)

L3EDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Friday 19th oct Sheffield Wednesday away, that's which Friday.silly comment

Agree0 Disagree0

In Warnock we trust, after all he's done so far there's no need to doubt him on anything!

Agree0 Disagree0

To OP. very good point makes me think warnock may have something up his sleeve b4 fri? but who knows? trust neil!
LtKK

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that green and norris are both avaliable again though why he is loaning poleon when mccormack has a bit to go makes me agree something is up

Agree0 Disagree0

He would only let them go out on loan if they aint gonna get a look in the 1st team over next month so in my opinion hes 99% sure of better players coming in

marc 7

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently somma is returning!

Had good knowledge to say the T/O should be complete by Friday, not sure on the accuracy but just a through the grapevine thing.

AntW

Believable8 Unbelievable48

No, we not had a statement yet, saying so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not had one of these posts for a while :)

Still about two weeks to go according to most reports and also what my friend tells me. Finances have been transfered just waiting for the payments to clear and last bits of paperwork to be tied up and it will be done. New owners to announce the date of there first press conference soon, until then the confidentiallity clause is still in place so no further news will be coming out of the takeover talks.

Source : someone close to the talks, what I have said above is pretty much all they can tell me

Agree0 Disagree0

AntW = WAnt the takeover to be completed by friday!

Your freudian slip is showing my dear..

LLHB

Agree0 Disagree0

Well of course I WAnt the takeover to be completed by Friday, but my name is Anthony Ward, hence the AntW.. back onto point though, I had a certain Tw**t come through that sourced me.

I hope it IS correct.

AntW

Agree0 Disagree0

Sooooooooooo ... Let me see if I'm getting the hang of this one. There might be a takeover by Friday. Or maybe not. Hard to tell. Nothing definite.

Oh well done. I'm well informed here.

Zac Thompson gone to Bury on loan along with Dominic Poleon, umm bit surprised Poleon going but I ll bet NW has someone else coming in.
MOT IrishWhite

Believable24 Unbelievable3

This could be good news. Both players have been substitutes, you would have thought that at least one player is coming in.

gradel back to leeds in jan

Believable49 Unbelievable53

I hope not. Massively overrated by a lot of Leeds fans, in my opinion.
Certainly wouldn't cut it in the Prem (when we get back there) so would be a bit-part player in our remaining Championship tenure and then an expensive bench warmer.
Doesn't offer anything over White and we've already got that option. Would you want White displaced now, with the form he's been in?

Agree0 Disagree2

I hope not the guy ran away as fast as he could demanding a move away on the eve of the transfer window i may add he a mecianary who we could do without but i have to admit the man would do a great job for us but cant see where he will fit in as it looks like hall will be taking up the left hand side spot

Agree0 Disagree1

What form !! Scored 1 good goal and basically cannot defend for toffee. White not in the same league buddy !! Gradel would be a good addition.
Lets get up first before we think about who we are going to Keep !!

Agree0 Disagree1

An Ivory Coast international that plays for a top French league team, has now played in the European cup and scored 23 goals from the wing in the championship wouldn't cut it in the Prem?
Gradel makes White look like a non-league w**ker, he knows how to use his pace and pick out a player with a quality cross. Also you need to remember we need to get out of this league and a player of his calibre and age has a lot to give.
Secondly, he only went to France because he needed to support his younger brothers more as he was their only financial support whilst at Leeds

Agree2 Disagree0

There's no doubt Gradel would be a great addition in terms of ability.

But I'm dismayed that so many of our fans have such a short memory. This is a player who told Simon Grayson he didn't want to play for Leeds anymore. We shouldn't forgive or forget that, unless he comes back and gets us promoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who as said they hope we wouldn't bring gradel back is not a leeds fan so go back to your own site .

Agree0 Disagree0

Gradel refused to play for us. Disgraceful. You can't tell me that you'd have him back but not Alan Smith, who didn't want to leave and was forced out. Gradel insisted he went.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Oct 2012 19:20:46
Would love too see him back what a player

Agree0 Disagree0

Welcome back if its true

Agree0 Disagree0

Would welcome him back -great goalscoring record in this league. White is also a tremendous asset in my opinion -and can play on opposite flanks, so not a case of either/or. For information, he never 'refused to play for us.' This turn of phrase has become an overused cliche in the past couple of years, and seems to be used whenever a player moves on -ridiculous! As we all know, Max would still be here, but for the club's eagerness to cash in... Familiar story? Chapel A

Agree0 Disagree0

All the people slagging gradel off ha av u seen him play gradel would rip the chapionship apart er ivory coast stand out player in african cup of nations when uv the likes ov toure and drogbas
