Im a season ticker holder and I'm sick because I cannot understand why we are still getting such a poor attendance. Bates is no longer......despite his program notes .....after 21st he no longer has a say. Cash was just as tight when We were in league 1 yet we still averaged 27000
If you truly can't afford it that's fair enough, but if you can afford it then turn up and show the team your support.......cos at the moment we only have 19000 l Loyal supporters, Which pains me to say we can no longer call ourselves a big club #stayawayfans

Believable83 Unbelievable22

We aren't a big club anymore i see city and chelsea shirts everywhere in leeds and wakefield

Agree2 Disagree0

In fairness I believe it's because we have 3 games in a week most people cannot afford all 3. I think people are slowly coming back

who is the chairman enough said big mistake

Agree14 Disagree2

Said the same thing a few weeks back, it is really painfull. people of leeds are really skint?

Agree0 Disagree3

I too am a season ticket holder but i fully understand why the fans havent come back,
im sure if GFH invest in january as promised and when bates leaves at the end ov the season and only has the president title.
the fans will be back.
if GFH dont invest they will loose even more fans and i for 1 wont renew my season ticket

Agree10 Disagree0

Not until bates has nothing to do with the club! So many lies over the years, need proof that its not his club anymore. Top players recruited and not sold plus ticket prices to reflect the league we are in. The new owners have to give us something, ie bates head on a plate and the way he ran the club!

Agree11 Disagree0

I think they have to show ambition or they will be thought of as a skint outfit out to sell the club at some point for a profit, or worse still in some murky business way still involved with bates.

Agree10 Disagree0

All about the team mate, if were not playin well and gettin hidings offa mediocre teams no wonder folk won't want to see that keep the good results going and build a team that can show the fans they mean business and folk will reappear, thow tbf I think out attendances r ok compared to others in the league?

Agree0 Disagree0

There's 3 games in a week followed by Xmas. Last night's lottery jackpot was less than £4million. Think it says more about peoples priorities with their cash than loyalty to LUFC. Also think this poster is trying to suggest he's one of the only "true" fans, bit arrogant there!

Agree0 Disagree0

Prices are too high guys. I'm a single dad and just can't afford the price. I would go regardless of anything else if I could

Agree7 Disagree0

Snodgrass, Gradel, Beckford, Howson.... - Players that you enjoy watching, even in L1. If you sell your best players and don't replace them people will not pay money. It'll take time to get the fans back. A good result on Wednesday will help. Oh and Ken Bates is still the Chairman, until the 21st.

Agree8 Disagree0

Hit nail on head it makes me laugh all these stay away fans will turn up for Chelsea game and can afford that only want to no when we playing big teams or doing well I turn in week in week out I had just watched us lose to Watford 6-1 first thing I did was buy palace ticket I live in Birmingham go every home game and most away so what is everyone's excuse

Agree0 Disagree3

£31 a ticket + beer tokens =£40 per person at least three home games before christmas....

Agree0 Disagree0

Excellent posts guys, frank and to the point. If its a toss up between buying family xmas presents and attending mediocre championship football, most sane people will choose the former. We desperately need a big name in january to show the fans and everybody else we mean business. It pains me to say that unless that happens ,the paying leeds public wii continue to prioritise there hard earned cash. Mrc1919.

Agree3 Disagree0

This kind of post always raises its ugly head. granted there are stay away fans for whatever reason, wheter it be bates, financial insecurity but saying there are only 19000 LOYAL fans is disrespectful and winds me up. am i not loyal for sticking with my club through ups and downs since i was 4 (now26), am i not loyal that i pay for flights/hotels/taxi/bus/food running into the hundreds of pounds for every match i go to, which is quite a few throughout the year. to say i am not loyal because i dont contribute to every attendance is laughable

Agree1 Disagree0

The only way to bring the fans back is to put a winning team on the pitch. I do not think all the stay away fans are Bates boycotters. Yes we have new owners but the jury is still out on them!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the Bates excuse has run its cause hes gone or going.I genuinley think we have been out of the big time for so long people have defected to support a Prem Team

Agree0 Disagree0

It's impossible to buy tickets if your not local. Only way I can get tickets is if I'm actually having meetings in Leeds. On line system is garbage as you have to buy membership before you can buy tickets on line. It's too hard to get tickets...that's why nothing else. Plus we do need a marquee signing

Agree0 Disagree1

The atmosphere was dead on Saturday :(
Think it was due to the Chelsea game Wednesday, (which I wont be going to) I'll be there Saturday when Middlebrough come to town. We need 3 points more than a Cup win!! MOT

Agree1 Disagree0

To be honest I was a season ticket holder for years and eventually gave it up this season, as the club treats its fans so disgracefully. Im enjoying my saturdays now, and itll take a lot to tempt me back long term. Sorry mate, but Bates is to blame, and you dont just rebuild Rome in a day, hes doen a lot of damage.

Agree1 Disagree0

I am a leeds fan, i have 2 kids and can afford to take them to elland road whenever i want. i wont though, because leeds dont give a toss about its customers and need to try a lot harder. its not always about the cash, its sometimes the attitude. leeds utd have just milked the fans for all their worth over the last 3 years and i dont want to be part of it. lots of other championship clubs recognise that they have to entice fans to the games and leeds just dont bother cos they think they will get business by default. thats the real reason we dont get 30,000 at elland road anymore, coupled with the fact that the football being played is very hit and miss and bates has sold any places fans take a shine to. when the club has representatives who give a toss then i and many others will start spending money at elland road again.

Agree0 Disagree0

MONEY: Pretty obvious why were all not attending. I'm also saddened seeing 19,000 at a game when we really should be seeing 25,000+ especially since Bates era has ended. The club has simply priced out fans and new owners need to lead by dropping prices a few quid to realistic levels. That alone will go along way. I travel 3hrs to a game and 3hrs return. I dont eat or drink at the game and try not to stop in services. Why ? Simply the extortionate costs involved. Ticket fuel and parking alone will cost £120 a game. 'We only have so much money' and I'm not giving blood yet !

Leeds chairman Ken Bates warned in his programme notes that there would be no January window spending spree despite the proposed completion of the club's takeover by Dubai-based Gulf Finance House Capital next week. Maybe this is a smokescreen in a bid to stop clubs inflating the prices for any players we are keen on? Or more worryingly is he being honest?
MOT! Good 3 points vs the tractor boys today

Believable29 Unbelievable7

Why should it have anything to do with Ken Bates what happens in January if the take over is completed next week, after what Bates has done in the last 2 years we need someone to show some ambition to bring the crowds back, an extra 5000 per match would pay 2-3 good salaries. If gfh don't show any ambition they won't get people back.

Agree3 Disagree0

And when as Bates ever told the truth, its nothing to do with him after hopefully the 21st December.

Agree3 Disagree0

Also if GFH dont invest in january then they will lose more of the pathetic crowd we have at the moment...
if theres no investment in january i for 1 wont be renewing my season ticket

Agree5 Disagree0

They have to invest cause apart from the crowds getting even less the team at the moment isn't good enough to get us up Karl mot

Agree5 Disagree0

I would ignore this comment by Bates. He is probably trying to stop Leeds having to pay inflated prices in January. All Warnock has been saying is how he needs players in January, and GFH are in charge, not Bates. I can't imagine there being no transfers in Jan.

Agree1 Disagree0

Has any one considered its 2 weeks before Xmas people have got other commitments and with the Chelsea game Wednesday I know which I'd rather pay to see if I could only afford the 1 game

Big al

Believable12 Unbelievable19

Could be true as he has been on fire for Coventry during his loan there. No doubt florist will want extra £££££`s though.
