He Was Bobbins at Wolves this season, the Wolves fans hated him. One of the most frustrating players around

Please no, he was alright in his day
Key word there WAS
Agree0

Plz no, but he is getting into the age range we like to buy
Agree0

Had great potential 10 years ago, as we saw here. His career, like a lot of his runs, seems to have dribbled into a bit of a cul-de-sac, so not sure this time round (unless we cannot get a younger, more thrusting winger -having said which, if Byram switches to wide right, then wide left is where we need to recruit). Ryan Hall and Aidy White offer some options on the left. I know a lot of Leeds fans think White is a full back but, he's just not. White could be coached into proper touchline winger with Hall coming on when you want to cut inside, more.
Even if Byram is shifting up-field a bit, think we could do with another option on the right. We're hardly blessed with an abundance of good right-backs. A utility player would do.

I hope not, average player, lots of off field baggage. no thanks!

Rumours of Jay Tabb to Leeds are wide of the mark:
Jay Tabb, who is out of contract with Royals this summer, said: "I've had four and a half good years at Reading but sometimes a change is a good thing.
"I'm 29 now, I've got a few good years left in me and when I look at what I want to achieve in the rest of my career - I want to get back into the Premier League.
"When you look at the Ipswich manager's track record, this is a good place to try and do that.
"I'll assess the situation in the summer. this is a great club and I'd like to think I can end up here.
"If I'm an Ipswich player next season I'll be very happy. "
McCarthy added: "I know he's on a free and I'd like to sign him.
"I told him that.
"He's really added something to us. "

(OP hear) before you click unbelievable why not do your research and check what Jay Tabb told the national press on Apr 22nd 2013.

Old article. Of course he would keep options open. We are bigger than Ipswich
Agree0

Its not a comment he made 5 years ago he said this 22 days ago, its not about him keeping his options open that is him stating his desire to play for a club and manager.
as for we're bigger than Ipswich this is the year 2013.

So he won't move? Ha, ask his agent
Agree0

Not a chance tabb coming to Leeds, he would love to play for Leeds but doesn't want to play for BMD

Hope we don't sign Tabb, he's a poor player, we need better!
Agree0

I know Jay Tabb, he has said he has signed a contract with Ipswich. It will not be confirmed until the end of the premier league season.
Also he is not a poor player. He works very hard and can play a very good pass. A battling player who probably would be very suited to the way McDermott likes to play

Hearing McCann And Tabb are heading for elland road
Believable19
Unbelievable44
Haha Tabb not a chance, I really can't see McCann either.
Of recent times Chris McCann has not been the player he was before his injuries he is also a really high earner at Turf Moor and he has struggled to impose himself on games and influence them.
Does that mean he is a poor player perhaps not but he hasn't reached his potential can he be re-energized & re-focused if he joined us that's an unknown factor.
He's a high earner with injury problems and has been off the boil hence why I dounbt him joining.

Leeds not to sell byram, BMac to build around academy players and maybe get 1 or 2 out of luck Reading players.

Yes we will build around the academy, however we won't be bringing Reading players in.

Matt Mills seems to be the only true rumour floating around
Believable55
Unbelievable16
Not sure that it is a true rumour, tbh it's sounding more likely that his sports agency have put this story out with a hope to create interest in the player. I would be very surprised if Leeds did actually bid for the player.
Agree0

The internet/newspapers seems to clinch onto one story, and publish it a thousand times over various websites, until social media picks it up and everyone starts repeating the same rumour.
Normally these things have a tendency to blow over after a few days. I haven't heard anything on Chris Humphrey for about a week now, and the Billy Sharp rumours seem to be fading as well.

Whilst McDermott has said he won't be raiding his old club Reading for players, he's certainly looking at a number of players who are either there or were at the club whilst he was involved.
Kaspars Gorkss, Matt Mills, Stephen Hunt, Noel Hunt, Kevin Doyle and Jay Tabb have all been contacted about a potential move to Leeds. And from what I hear, all are interested. Deals are a long way off however, but from what I understand Noel Hunt and Jay Tabb are all likely as they are both free transfers and on a relatively low wage.
Another line i'm hearing is that McDermott has expressed and interest in Jack Cork, however this possible deal will heavily depend on Southampton's transfer dealings in the summer and is a long way off from even discussions, but watch this space. The same source also tells me there has been no interest shown from Leeds in Billy Sharp, despite reports.
From what I hear at the club ( and despite the summer break, there is plenty of discussion ) any ' big ' money moves are likely to be delayed until later in the summer. GFH are actively looking for what has been described to me as ' significant investors ' to provide the transfer funds. From what i'm told, the club hopes to have this ' sorted out ' by mid August. But unfortunately, no guarentees. Let's just hope the ownership issues at the club are dealt with as soon as possible this summer, allowing us to strengthen the squad, but I get the impression there is a significant amount of uncertainty around the club as the search for ' significant investors ' continues.
And just to finish off, Zac Thompson is interesting Preston. That's all i've got for now.
Believable34
Unbelievable16
Ties in partly with what i've heard. Know somebody working at Reading who told me Tabb and ( Noel ) Hunt to Leeds is as good as done.
Agree0
Disagree1
If I'm pretty much mistaken Jack Cork has done incredibly well despite his injury this season. Cost a pretty penny to get him to Leeds.
I'm struggling to understand how we could even fund a move like this and begin to show interest if we are still awaiting "significant investors"?
I can't see Leeds even considering any deals for Zac Thompson, until after pre-season. I think he will get a fair few chances in pre-season, as he did pretty well out on loan.
Rumours about Billy Sharp is that Reading and Forest are the front runners for him, which if Reading go in for him, i'm sure the Le Fondre rumours will begin to circulate once more.
Agree0
Disagree0
For they are all Social Media talk and that's it at the moment. I don't believe for a scond that McDermott will be looking to sign known quantities, he will be using his scouting background to unearth gems.
Agree0

So we're pretty much in the same position as last summer then?

Great insight, sounds positive, I hope it all pans out. MOT South Wales white.

Cannot see Jack Cork leaving the Prem -he has made a decent impact there, and is well regarded. We need to find the next Jack Cork. Chapel A

Dwight Gayle, has been rumoured to be in talks with Leeds United. BMD is interested in pace upfront and is keen on the young gun
Believable43
Unbelievable20
Obviously never going to buy him. we have pace with morrison but as its not fifa its not a huge thing with a striker, need quality ahead of pace that's 4 sure
Agree0

Queens Park Rangers are already preparing for life in the npower Championship and have targeted Peterborough United's Dwight Gayle as their first summer signing.
Agree0
Disagree0
I disagree, pace is essential. You clearly never go to many games. Morrison isn't quick. he's a great forward when fit but we do need that tricky player. He tormented us at home and I think he would be a great assett.
Agree0
Disagree0
We have pace with Morison?! Haha. We have lacked pace all season in all areas, we need pace he would be a great addition
Agree0
Disagree0
Are you serious? Pace is a huge aspect of football. Morison is awful, and hardly any pace at all. Gayle would be quality.
Agree1

They reckon his price tag is about £3-4 million. I think he looks like a very good player, but I don't think he is quite worth the price tag.
Agree0

Too expensive. next

Gayle is not interested in moving up north. Shame.
Agree0

His transfer value is in the region of £650. 000.
Agree0

Gaylel would be a tremendous asset, and can only get better. Should be a no brainer, investment-wise, as he his value should only increase. Has played less than 50 league games, so current price should not place him out of reach. Chapel A

I work for Leeds United (unfortunately I can't say what roll), I was informed by my fellow colleagues at the Brighton game that Motherwell midfielder Chris Humphrey was at the game and he has signed for Leeds. Don't know if was true or a load of bull.

Speaking to Peter Lorimer last week, who confirmed Billy Sharp will sign for Leeds this summer. Been on the fringes for forest all season. He's a good player, top finisher and adds a little bit of pace too.

Billy sharp is a sheffield united fan and hates leeds, this was seen in his attitude when leeds played forest at the s***ty ground this season. he's a good finisher but cannot create and relies on bits and pieces to form his reputation.

Leeds, Reading, Spurs, Arsenal, Sunderland & Liverpool interested in George Sykes from Barnet.
However, the youngster is keen to keep playing 1st team football and developing. So, Leeds & Reading maybe favorites to capture him at the moment.
