Wages big stumbling block.

Wages believed to be around 50k a week at hamburg if rumours are correct even a 50% cut leaves him 10k a week over our budget so can't see it happening not sure if I even want him to stay hasn't brought enough to the party for me

His lack of skill should be the bloody stumbling block not his wages! If he was that good he would be wanted back home with them happy to pay his wages! We get to many cast offs that no one else wants, it’s not very often we get a player from a club who wants him to stay!

I think he is doing ok and will get better as the season progresses - remember that he is new to the Championship and spent a bit of time on the sidelines. He is getting back to fitness now and starting to have more of an impact. can't see him staying though cause we have signed another, similar striker due to be completed in Summer whose name escapes me.

In our last 5 games we have picked up 1 point, only Burton have the same record, no one is worse. If this continues over next 16 games do you think 47 points will keeps up? Happy Valentines thought for the day? #just saying

anyone opposed to a sensible, sustainable, progressive 5 year plan needs to give their heads a shake

Don't get why so many people are opposed to radz '5 year plan'. I'm sure a lot of people will be eating humble pie when we're a strong side in the prem in 5 years, I know I'd much rather have a 5 year plan than a one hit season in the champ and get annihilated week in week out next year in the prem and end up in league 1 two years later

So good to read a sensible post, totally agree O’Leary just posted something similar saying we are in a good a position as we’ve been for many a year.

Totally agree. Too many people want instant success which sometimes is acheivable but rarely sustainable. I have so much admiration for Radz plan and his strength of will to persevere. The more it goes on the more I feel that when we do go up it will have longevity.

In all honesty Leodis I think some people on here including me are fed up of waiting, we build up for a new season and then it’s a no show again, It’s been a tough few years, we had MasterBates who nearly wiped us off the map, then that other lot who just used us for gain and who I believe have held us back! MC came in and although he got us on a stable footing he was a mad head and then Radz who has done a fantastic job, the only bad thing is he brought Orta in! It’s hard to remember that Radz has only been with us for just over half a season so in terms of club progression he’s doing wonders but impatient fans like me forget that! I love the fact that Radz owns us and I know he wants to succeed and he knows he will make mistakes, that’s in reality but myself and many others crave that success we had with O’Leary, this time though we want to have it properly and not recklessly, but and again we want it yesterday and not tomorrow! Negative or positive we all want the same thing! Good post O’Leary, 92 and Leodis.

Instant success? We didn't get relegated last year we been out of premier league for over 12 yrs so to say people want instant success is potty.

Class - couldn't agree with the essay you wrote on the banter page more, wish I could give it two thumbs up!

Leodis - Completely correct on the longevity angle. Build the foundations first.

Mike - Completely appreciate where you're coming from, I know you've come under a bit of fire recently but it's nice to see you're still able to see it from other people's perspectives too!

Martyn - Sticking with theme of perspective, you could say it's been X amount of years since the old glory days and people are getting impatient but bare in mind we were in league 1 more recently than the premier league. Without Radz and even MC stepping in we could still be a tax write off for GFH today with absolutely no chance of major improvement, that is why I think Radz deserves at least a chance with his 5 year plan. Sorry for delayed responses. Living in china ATM, the time difference and firewall does not help! MOT.

Leodis - the most frustrating thing is to be in the dark. I've always said if the chairman shares the plan with us so tat we can see how we are doing against a goal people will be more patient and happier. if we don't know where we are going or how long it takes the journey is much more difficult.
