10 working days for the paperwork to be put in and the FL then normally take 5 working days, the paperwork is just a list of question that you have to answer they look at it to see if they think what you have put is correct and take it from there
Agree1
Disagree1
The 15 days includes 10 days to submit paperwork. Therefore IF we have now submitted all the correct paperwork it should be no longer than 5 working days, albeit the answer given at that point may not be definitive, it could be a request to submit more paperwork
Agree1

Yes and Harvey and co will make sure it does take maximum days aswell mate . Mot

Simon Lenighan has gone to Halifax on loan for a month. Happy to see him go out and get some experience, though I would have hoped for a higher level. Wish him good luck though.

Hi Ed, can you put this on the rumours site so the votes can be counted?
Who thinks Teak Commercial Ltd, the owners of ER belongs to Bates?
True = Believable, Not true = Unbelievable.
Let look at the evidence for it being true.
1. Teak Commercial are based out in the British Virgin Islands where the majority of Bates's companies are based.
2. It is illegal to disclose the owners or shareholders names of companies based in the BVI's, so no one can ever find out the true owners names.
3. Teak Commercial Ltd bought ER from a Manchester based property developer the same month Bates took over LU.
4. Why else would Bates loan some money to GFH after they sacked him for his dodgy dealings.
5. I smell a rat, still with links to LU.
The evidence against.
1. I'm struggling to come up with anything.

I have thought all along that bates is behind gfh buy out too because nobody would deal with him. It makes sense that he has he is also in owns the ground.
Agree0

And what difference does it make who owns it?
Agree0

Bates does own ER
He installed the New hospitality boxes in the east stand & even applied for a loan to do so
You would not add a conservatory to house you did not own, would you?and pay for it yourself?

I've thought about this long and hard and my answer.
I really don't care as long as we buy it back
It's completely irrelevant and past history which I have no care for what so ever

I myself has always thought Master Bates owns the ground, how many owners spend 7 million of season ticket monies developing a ground you don't even own.
Agree0
Disagree0
Jacob Adler bought ER from Krasner and Co and Jacob Adler put it into an offshore co.
In a few months and after secret negotiations Massimo's company will have bought the ground back.
SIMPLES
All the rest is make believe.
However I don't understand why Master Bates lent Gfh £1,000,000 unless he was offered a healthy return.
Agree1
Disagree0
Totally agree with survivor, people want to believe he is still involved because things haven't been great at the club and want to believe it must be bates still behind it. I don't believe he has anything to do with it and i'm sure the loan he gave us will have been down to his ego, i've no doubt he'll have charged an enormous amount of interest and made it worth his while too

Your running before you can walk, your forgetting one MAJOR issue here.
(IF and its a big if) BATES is behind teak commercial ltd and DOES own E-R he can ask what EVER price he likes?
£50 mill
£300 mill? >>>>>
Agree0

Bates giving money out on his ego LMFAO its papa smurf we are talking about, you must be on about Jeremy Bates lol
Agree0
Disagree0
Of course he has a hand in that pot, he's not rich by accident, he's been humping the club and supporters for far too long
Agree0
Disagree0
Andy MOT - even if Bates was involved - who cares? Whoever it is cannot demand £50-300 million for the ground because the repurchase price is stated in the lease and is around £15 million.
Agree0
Disagree0
Food for thought. What if Cellino doesn't want to play these silly games with EL and finds a different location for a new build ground? Bates will hold land but his property will be worth bugger all, apart from new homes development site. He's worth £800m and has already taken Calligari away from their ground because of probs. I think its a dangerous time ahead for all

It's all happening today.
FL will announce next week Massimo has passed the fit and proper rule.

To the last poster. Do you really know what your talking about, I think not. Either your m farnen or you talk out of your bum mate, cellino is worth more then any owner we have had before, but its his family buying leeds and together they are worth well over a billion pounds and that's not including what they earn from other investments

"There is no way on gods earth LUFC will play in Champions league in mine and your lifetime."
Happy little soul aren't you.
You are obviously a very, very, very old person then, unlike the rest of us.

The Cellini's are multi billionaires mate, don't be so ridiculous. Cellino wants a team to own in the prem. He clearly sees Leeds as the goldmine it is and is taking the reigns. We are a massive club and unlike Saints, Swansea etc once we go up we will do as Newcastle did and compete for Europe IMO.
Agree2
Disagree1
Let's not rush or build our hopes up for a quick fix. Let's take it steady and do it right. That's one of the reasons why we ended up in a mess for the last 10+ years. I'm all for the PL and all that goes with it, but steady as she goes please.
Agree1
Disagree0
Really can see us promoted in next 2 to 3years dispite being an alleged multi billionaire on 22 years he has failed to take calgiari to regular champions league football in 22 years he has admittedly spend 78million pound on players but has also sold 96 million pounds worth of players fact he runs calgiari as a selling club who says he won't with us
Agree1
Disagree2
Cagliari have no stadium (yes technically we don't) and attendances of 6k
They have no large fan base or commercial potential
We however have potentially everything
He has run their club very well to keep them in Serie A consistently without the turnover of a big club and credit must be given for that
I'm sure if he had got their stadium sorted he would have invested further
Agree0
Disagree0
I would say some years ago. think wimbledon. punched way above their weight for several seasons. that's the comparison I would make with cagliari. mc has done an amazing job keeping that team in serie a. and no way have fan attendances and merchandise revenue kept the club going. he knows with lufc back in premiership any player on the planet would only be sidelined from signing for lufc by maybe 5 or 6 other clubs in europe. he knows he is buying a good apple. and I like how he has said he will purchase er and ta and invest in the academy. just hope he throws some money bmacs way then we can judge. I would like to dream for a while, and picture in 3 years time milan barca and madrid playing rainy nights in yorkshire?
Agree0

His quote saying not enough money has been invested in players and also more quality less quantity has sold me
That is everything we have been lacking summed up in one sentence
Agree0

Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words as they say. So, the family are "Billionaires", how many "Billionaires" were on the board of QPR?. There are a host of clubs with very wealthy backers ( owners ) some are achieving some not. Money garentees little, only that probably the day to day bills are paid. Oh and just in case you forget, FFP applies, so an owner cannot simply throw money at a club. 8 million overspend can mean 60 million sanction. Good Luck.
Agree0
Disagree0
£60 mill sanction?
Unless you do what man city done and write £50 off to your parent club as a loan ;)
THINK ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE look at wet spam and QPR 2 clubs with average gates and spending silly money.
Agree0

But they have either recently been promoted or relegated from premiership, therefore have effectively have a 60 million pot to play with.
Agree0

Yep, price of failure = more money than the whole Leeds set up would cost you.
How fair is that then.

Cellino, the owner of Cagliari, will look for progress with the Football League during that period having attended a meeting with the governing body about his takeover on Wednesday. The Italian initially anticipated that his 75 per cent buy-out would be ratified there and then but the three-hour hearing – held at his request – was used to instruct him about the documents and information the League requires to make its decision.

Things have got to change, BMD has got to go, he is clueless, how can you play McCormack as a lone striker against two centre backs who tower over him, and then play hoofball up to him? And then there's the signings he's made! Kebe was the worst player on the pitch last night ( and there was a few ) our worst player we have ever signed was fortunately back at Hull ( Stewart ) then there's over the hill Hunt, Murphy! Well say no more, Wooton, and Zaliukas??? WHO and Smith who is an o.k league one player, our best game of the season came when BMD was sacked!, Speaks Volumes, one of the worst managers we have ever had, Warnock had a better record than him. So why is he still here??? WHY? Mr Nice Guys don't win football matches.

Its obvious that Bates owns Elland Road. When you remove all the smoke and mirrors why the hell would someone like Bates who would cut a pea in half then keep both halves invest a single penny on a ground that he did not own? Get real this is Ken Bates we are talking about not santa.
Agree4

A number of people have done some digging and it's widely thought that Bates has no connection with the club or ownership of Elland Rd at all. seems to be people wanting to believe he is somehow trying to stiff us still and its not the case, people need to move on!
