Bamford is an interesting case. He had a goal scoring spree two seasons ago and we finished in the top half. Before that he he couldn't buy a goal and I never thought of him as a goal scorerer. In fact in the main put him in front of goal with the ball or let him take a penalty and he would miss. In fact I never believed he would score when fans were jumping up in anticipation of him scoring they were usually disappointed. Then he had his 17 goal season and it looked like he had been transformed. The injuries seem to have put paid to that. He still leads the line very well but if he can't score we are in trouble. There is no one else that will do it regularly. Rodrigo seems to have improved in that respect but his overall game is nowhere near as good as Bamfords. We have no midfield scorers so we struggle. In cases like that the opposition invariably get a chance even when they've been under the cosh and score. Late goal conceded against Accrington, Goal conceded against Forest, 4 late goals in two games against Man. U. The Spurs game. The list goes on. Our only salvation I think is if Ridrigo comes back scoring, the Koch/ Wober partnership continues to improve and Rutter and Firpo start to justify their transfer fee. Too many teams at the bottom are starting to come good and we are in danger of been left behind.

Is Rodrigo prolific enough.
The fact is we are wasteful up front and giving in defense.
Recipe for disaster.
If our midfield chipped in then all good but realistically with the threat and pace we have we should score heaps more. Last pass and blind alleys to blame which is players decision. Not management.
