Florists pursuing a loan to buy for Barcodes' Chris Wood. For me, that would be a signing to help them stave off relegation, tho how they will get away with such an extravagant 12 months, in the 3 yr scheme of fair play, and continue to build, is beyond me.

Read a little about ffp rules, weird as he'll.
If you sign a player for 80 million and give him an 8 year contract. Your hit to the accounts that year is 10 million.
Sell a player and all the sale immediately goes on the books (even if you get paid in installments) .

Sounds a wee bit twisted to me that Canada, but about right for any football association, be it national, European or global.

Amortization is the name of game Brights, all spread out over length of players contract, they probably will be ok, . obviously clubs accountants have been doing the numbers,

Forest will now full well they are ripe for the picking if the numbers do not stack up with amount of new faces there

Good manager is Cooper though.

Conté my hoop,

It’s called UK GAP…all completely standard accounting methodology in all business. Assets are depreciated over the period of “use”, in this case, a contract and profit cannot be sand-bagged across multiple years and has to be recognised in the year it is received. Businesses pay tax on profit, so you can’t spread a profit to realise a loss as an avoidance of tax (though clever accounting is often used to mitigate) .
