It doesn’t please me to be saying this but I think the writing is on the wall for Jesse Marsch, Radrizzani’s American dream looks to be going very sour, so who would be the best replacement coach for him? and keeping it realistic.
I think if I were In Radz shoes I’d be on the phone to tell Carlos Corberan to hold fire on joining relegation bound West Brom in the Championship and join Leeds United in the Premiership as our new coach.
He knows the club and the system we play, why they didn’t target him when Bielsa departed I don’t know, as I feel he would be the ideal replacement.
As far as I see it any coach will be a gamble so why not Corberan?

Is it too much to ask for Leeds to be actually good or even quite good?

Good post OP.
I think the probable answer to your question regarding Carlos, would be that he and the Huddersfield hierachy thought they would be swapping places with us last season.
I think JM will be with us for longer than we expect, purely because he wasn't fully backed financially during the summer transfer window and the cracks that were brazenly ignored, have quickly surfaced (LB and striker, plus decent competition for Meslier)
The funds will be made available and hopefully the 3 Amigos will buy suitable additions to improve the squad and move us up the table
It's never an easy ride being Leeds fans.

We will not move up the table cause even if they splash to cash which I doubt what decent player will join a team destined for the R.
I’m flabbergasted he hasn’t been sacked already. It is as clear as day he hasn’t got the experience or tactical nous to compete in the prem. Anybody that plays Harrison central needs sacking on that decision alone.

Leeroy, JM does probably have a genuine vote of confidence but how often do we see that in football, realistically we have to do something very special in the next three games before the World Cup and that means picking up a minimum of about 5 points and not only that but also put in convincingly progressive performances. It’s not like we are mid table losing games with terrible performances we are now in the relegation zone with games against top six teams coming up.
If Radz waits until the end January let’s say before sacking JM, we could be cut adrift with too much to salvage a survival.
The only chance we might have is if two or three very substantial signings come in January.
We all know our involvement in the Jan transfer market is almost non existent and would those players be available and want to come to our club?
There’s too much risk involved especially if you look at how many players turned us down in the summer.
Who wants to join a PL club that may be relegated?

Judging by his recent selections Aus it does smell of desperation. We can create chances which can always result in goals but defensively we look extremely weak, with too many individual errors. Stop leaking the goals then we might have a chance.

Don’t think it was Radz American dream more like 49s dream they pushed for him so the buck stops with them, reading posts that Radz will not pull the trigger just yet, he will be given more time can’t blame just JM it’s the players Radz and 49s, as for replacement manager perhaps MB will come back as he could do no wrong and probably get away with us going down.

If Radz is the problem, we won’t deliver until he has sold the club, long wait potentially, bad vibe for years, Premiership relegation and life in the Championship…. Again!

If Orta is the problem, a new Director needs to be recruited, appointed and given time to make their mark through coach and then player appointments. Relegation, possible/ probable but a new life and direction in the club.

If only Jesse is the problem, easier to fix in the short term, still a chance to survive this year and go again the next.

For me, it’s time to change Orta first and likely then Jesse too. The club needs a strategic change in direction and new blood and Radz going isn’t going to happen without success or disaster! A new Director of football brings a new approach, contacts etc and breaths fresh air throughout the footballing part of the club. Jesse unlikely to survive that but we have a new combination of director and coach selected!

The World Cup break brings a break to this season that allows for changes and possibly could change the relegation picture more drastically than in previous years. Effectively two mini seasons glued together! Jesse had almost a month due to the Queen and that didn’t work!

Orta had not only brought in mainly dorr players, out of 4 managers he has appointed 3 have been abject failures. I'm on my 3rd season of saying this now - Orta has to go.

Whitman, at least going down with Bielsa I’d be pretty confident we would bounce straight back up, not too sure with Jesse.
Not against having a new Dof, it might make a difference long term. Short term, unless JM can conjure up a miracle then he should be the sacrificial lamb short term.

24 Oct 2022 17:07:09
OP not sure he could’ve done that but it’s the unknown, if 49s are backing JM he will not go just yet if at all. We have a couple of games to go before the brake the couple in December then the window hopefully something will happen then, if no it’s Talley ho.
