2 points from last 18 and our leader still assures us things are headed in the right direction - that's what I used to tell the headmaster when confronted with test scores like that and that's when the smiling stopped! If only the asked questions I knew the answer to my score would of been higher.

Luck has nowt to do with it, that tends to even out over the course of a season - our goals to shots ratio seems shocking and for the loot he's on you would think Bam could asleast hit the target from the spot.

I like BamBam and like most think we play better with him, it is the Managers job to work out how to turn that into goals for the supporting cast with the talent he has available to him to select. Does JM have the skill to do that - it doesn't look like it does it.

Win tonight essential and possible, lose and its time for someone with more nouse me thinks.

Let's see how we get on these next two games, then talk.

I just don't see the point chopping and changing managers within months of appointing them. He's helped us avoid relegation to currently sitting 14th the following season with a much deeper squad, better first team and tactics which don't involve us shipping 5 goals every game. Its a marked improvement from 5 months ago.

Understandably it takes time to do all this, what's the massive rush to sack him then get someone else to then have the players retrain their tactics and set us back a further X amount of months, with no guarantee of results being better.

Just my opinion but we need some continuity. JM has shown improvement since last season. Give him the chance to build on it.

But I do agree, Thursday is a game we need to take something from. Hopefully a win and a few goals.

1970 you clearly not a JM fan from your posts . and boy does JM and Leeds need two wins in next two games to quell the rumblings of considerable discontent

BUT perhaps you should also Direct some/ most of your ire towards the infuriating smirking smug ' leader ' owner Radz

who has badly let his fall guy JM and Leeds down in summer window .

lessons evidently not learnt from Radz cheap skate very, very lucky escape from last season R meltdown; as same mistakes repeated again this season

Yes yes I know I have banged this drum frequently but this issue is the MOST important aspect for our club.

and Leeds fans are AGAIN for a second season having to suffer the detrimental consequences of this Chancers underwhelming transfer policy EVERY game ( no wins in 6 etc. )

Praying for a win tomorrow.

The Jury is out for me on JM, he does need to get something in the next two games. But I agree with Baz regarding the three stooges, he has been thrown under the bus regarding our transfer policy. A lucky escape last season which the powers that be said wouldn't happen again, yet the three areas that really needed strengthening, CB, CF and LB we were again left wanting in the Transfer Window as Orta was trotting round Europe. Fingers crossed for a result tomorrow night.

19 Oct 2022 17:11:34
OBJECTION your honour. Baz is leading the witness toward his own agenda!

19 Oct 2022 17:13:44
Dammit. hit reply too soon.
Personally believe that Jesse will come good and be with us for quite a while.
A win tomorrow imo, but we won’t keep a clean sheet.

Probably won't do anything to change the mind of pessimists, but odds for relegation on Oddschecker are as follows:

20. Forest 1/ 3
19. Bournemouth 6/ 5
18. Leicester 2/ 1
17. Southampton 9/ 4
16. Wolves 3/ 1
15. Fulham 7/ 2
14. Everton 4/ 1
13. Leeds 4/ 1

Think if we're objective, as the bookies are, then we have the potential to finish 13th.

19 Oct 2022 19:39:12
I hope they are right!

19 Oct 2022 20:34:49
Or more likely

20 Forest
19 Leeds
18 Bournemouth
17 Fulham
16 Southampton
15 Wolves
14 Everton
13 Leicester.

19 Oct 2022 20:51:47
Funny you say that Baz because before the season started you swore blind that the bookies knew their stuff when we were pegged for relegation. Now they've adjusted accordingly given performances, you've seemingly decided they're wrong and not to be trusted ?

From what I've seen of us and the teams around us, I think we'll be fine mate, but still going to be a few rough patches along the way. Need to start getting the points on the board to go with the performances now, though. Starting tomoz!

19 Oct 2022 20:56:56
I’m getting a bit confused! Baz changes his opinion on where we are going to finish every day!

Equally not sure whether Radz is to blame or is it Orta or is it Jesse or is it Bielsa for leading us into it all! Perhaps it’s Bamford for never scoring or Firpo or Llorente or Rodrigo for not being real internationals for their countries! Perhaps everyone is to blame or perhaps Don was right and it’s the gypsy curse!

Team before self every time …. unless we’re looking for someone to blame!

Good luck everyone tomorrow night, two wins in a few days and Baz might think we’ll get as high as 18th!

19 Oct 2022 21:28:31
Dill bud you won't find any post from me stating the bookies are always right or that I agree with them on everything.

Perhaps the bookies are trying to tempt Top 7 Corkie, Top 6 OP and Spanish no R chance to have a bet with those odds ?.

19 Oct 2022 21:40:10
Hehe El Spagnole my Ole mucka Spanish Inquisitor ?.

On the contrary fella your faux fake "confusion" is indeed more than a tad disingenuous ( again)

. I have been entirely consistent in my posts since end of summer window stating Leeds will definitely be in a R battle come what may with our squad

The exact final position between 15th and 20th will depend on injuries, team selections, etc

Seeing Firpo again in a Leeds shirt tends to make one think more towards bottom 3 today

Similarly I have been entirely consistent on the pros and cons of Radz, Orta, AK etc hence my regular name for them in my posts of ' The Three Stooges '

Chin chin fella ?.

19 Oct 2022 22:00:45
Thanks Baz for the clarity, so if we finish 14th, you’ll say, oh well we would have finished 15th if Fulham hadn’t thrown it away on the last day.

And so for more clarity, it’s only the three stooges and Firpo you blame, no one else? , are you sure? Bamford is good enough as a striker then?

You’re right, I don’t think we will be relegated, I do think Jesse will and should be given time as we’ve reshaped the club around him. Also the signings that have come in during his reign are promising and we either give him or Orta or them both credit for that. Of the three stooges I think Orta is more under the microscope but his recent recruitment seems better since Jesse!

Finally Chin Chin is more Radz then Orta! In these parts were more likely to say salud senor! Two big games coming up and we all want Leeds to win them both and Bamford and Rodrigo to score a hatful and Firpo to have a blinder! Don’t we?

19 Oct 2022 22:36:26
El Spagnole I do enjoy your little digs .

Bamford has more pros than cons. regrettably his major cons are having a very hot gf . no sorry?? his major cons is he needs too many chances to score and plays better in empty stadiums.

Yesss I am hoping of course for 2 Leeds wins El Spagnole . viva la Inquisition ?

Salut ?????.

19 Oct 2022 23:05:29
Little digs you say Baz?
I’d love to give you a proper dig in the head!
Leeds win 2-0.

19 Oct 2022 23:11:07
Of course you would Corkster but seeing as you 're a wee fella ? you will need a step ladder as I am taller than Peter Crouch ?.

20 Oct 2022 00:03:27
Baz, I’ll settle for “ hoping for 2 Leeds wins”, your most positive post of the year and least repetitive! ?

Actually if you really want Radz out I reckon doing well is the way to achieve it, not doing badly! So we have got a common interest!

I enjoy the debating, I love the club and I love the city and county. Born there and back all through my life. The city deserves a successful club that brings happiness and positivity to the area and I really believe we are building it . I notice the difference every time I go to the city and the ground and I see it in the under 21 set up . I also hear it from the people I talk to in the city and in the ground. Look at the shirt sales, the season ticket waiting list, the attitude to Leeds overseas!

We’re buzzing again.
I’m nobody’s lackey, that’s my genuine opinion from going to watch the games and spending time in the city.

Enjoy tomorrow night fella and let’s hope we’re all celebrating at the end of it!

20 Oct 2022 02:47:48
Yep some good rousing points well made El Spagnole.

I do give a wry smile that a few posters on here pretend I never posts any positive posts. it's simply not true!

when we WIN I give it plenty on here and elsewhere.

20 Oct 2022 06:50:10
Fair point Baz but positivity can be there when we don’t win as well! For me it’s about the performance we give and the type of football we play. That’s what I want to see from the players. If that’s right we’ll win more than we lose but we’ll still lose some even when the performance was good like Arsenal!
