We are already thin in central mid so if Phillips does go then we really have a lot of work to do . I'm hoping Bate can progress this season but foreshaw and klich just are not good enough in my opinion . I think we need 2 central mids as it is never mind if we loose kp.

If raph goes yes.
It’s early days but I’m hoping for quality not quantity. In my opinion only the Liverpool lad is good enough to get in our first team of the strikers linked.
Need to sort out what Phillips and raph will do early so we can get the big dollar replacements in.

Still think Forshaw has a future, and he proved it this season in the time he played. I think Klich suffered from burnout after his superhuman exertions in the previous two seasons. He is still a baller. But yes, if Kal goes, thems some big boots to fill! That said, it will take stupid money to get him while we are stil PL.

Gotta disagree with Forshaw. Nothing wrong with his endeavour just a bit slow and positioning not good. I would sell him, klick, Rodrigo, costs Struik and James given the chance.
We need upgrades replacements or youngsters with equal talent in those positions.

Forshaw is very tidy on the ball, with decent pass completion rates etc, though most of those passes are short and not often progressive. He’s also good in the tackle and retains the ball well in tight spaces. Ok as a sub to help close out a game, and definitely a good pro to have around if he doesn’t mind not being a starter, but if we have KP (or similar if he leaves) we need someone alongside him at 8, who offers far more - a proper box to box midfielder, and preferably more physically imposing than Forshaw - and can also chip in with some goals - in more than 5,300 minutes on the pitch for Leeds, Forshaw has never scored, and has managed just 3 assists.

Klich is probably not going to be a starter very often, but definitely also worth keeping around if he’s okay with a squad role. However, he may want to move on to help secure his place in the Poland squad for Qatar.

In that way, the Qatar World Cup might be quite helpful in moving some of the squad this summer. Rodrigo and Tyro in particular might be keen on a move to clubs where they’re more likely to get a chance to impress their national managers. Tyro might be thinking this could be the only time in his career that Wales make the finals.

Keep Klich as a bench option

But Firpo, Llorente, Cooper Rodrigo, Roberts, Forshaw, Shackleton and Daniel James can ALL go for me for varying reasons from not being good enough to needing better quality and in Llorentes case blocking Cresswell path to regular 1st team starting line up

Whether Orta and Co are able to/ or want to offload any of them is another matter.

Whatever we think of certain players, selling 8 or 9 of them in one transfer window is too radical and will only create a destabilizing effect on the squad. Also some of those players mentioned still might come good, even Roberts, I remember KP being a below average player in the Championship not so long ago.

Think I’d like to see strujk and creswell as a CB pairing, maybe salter from Chelsea on a free.
